Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify amphibian species in terrestrial and aquatic habitats and to analyze species diversity, species richness and species evenness indices in the Hampangen Educational Forest (KHDTK). The method used was strip transect observation with a transect length of ±400m and a left-right width of 5m. The selection of transects was done using purposive sampling. The results of the study showed that there were 7 species of amphibians found and identified in terrestrial and aquatic habitats from 3 families (Ranidae, Dicroglossidae, Rhacophoridae). The Shannon-Wiener diversity index (H’) for amphibian species in terrestrial habitats was 1.790 (moderate category) and in aquatic habitats was 1.078 (low category). The species richness index for amphibians in terrestrial and aquatic habitats is in the low category, with values of 0.291 and 0.513, respectively. Meanwhile, the species evenness index in terrestrial and aquatic habitats is in the high category, with values of 0.920 and 0.982, respectively. Keywords: amphibians, species diversity, terrestrial, aquatic, KHDTK

Abstract

The objectives of this study were (a) to calculate the volume, percentage, and potential of tree felling waste; and (b) to identify the cross-sectional patterns of tree stumps in timber harvesting activities in the production forests of Central Kalimantan. Measurements of logging waste and observations of tree stump cross-sectional shapes were carried out on 60 predetermined sample trees located within 10 observation plots (10 ha). The results showed that the volume of logging waste was 106.42 m3 or 31.82% with a waste potential of 10.64 m3/ha. The patterns of stump cross-sections found in the logging plots consisted of several shapes, namely: star-shaped, triangular, round, irregular round, and square.

Abstract

Technological developments are increasingly sophisticated. Likewise, sophistication is developing in vehicle parts. What were originally fuel-powered vehicles have now been modernized with electric vehicles that only rely on electricity as a charger. Therefore, researchers aim to find out the factors that influence the interest in buying electric bicycles among the people of Paiton. This research uses quantitative methods. The population in this research is the Paiton community who own electric bicycles. In this research, the sampling method used is the simple random sampling method. The simple random sampling method (Simple Random Sampling) is a sampling technique that is completely based on providing equal opportunities to the entire population (Bambang Sugeng, 2022). This research uses the Lemeshow formula, because the sample population is unknown. This research used a sample of 96 respondents. In accordance with calculations using the Lemeshow formula. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis with the help of SPSS software. The research results show that taste, price and income do not influence people's interest in buying electric bicycles.
