Abstract

Research and community service are one of the activities included in the threefold missions of higher education (Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi) in Indonesia that consists of 1) Education and Teaching, 2) Research and Development, and 3) Community Service. The current conditions at the university are still experiencing problems on controlling these activities because they are handled manually by the party concerned. As a result of this manual process, the activity process becomes inefficient and makes the existing process scattered and not managed properly. Therefore, this research is conducted to create a research information system and community service based on a website application to overcome these problems. With this website application, lecturers can easily submit research results quickly, reviewers can evaluate existing research also leaders can see the entire process of ongoing activities. Lecturers can also transparently see the existing assessment process and leaders have visibility of all ongoing activities.

Abstract

UMKM Burgerak merupakan sebuah usaha mikro di bidang kuliner yang berfokus pada penyediaan produk makanan cepat saji berupa burger dengan cita rasa khas lokal. Berdiri dari inisiatif wirausaha muda yang melihat peluang besar dalam tren makanan modern yang terus berkembang, Burgerak hadir untuk memberikan alternatif kuliner yang berkualitas, terjangkau, dan sesuai dengan lidah masyarakat Kota Ambon. Keunggulan utama dari Burgerak terletak pada inovasi menu yang memadukan resep burger klasik dengan bahan-bahan lokal seperti sambal khas daerah, daging olahan tradisional, serta roti buatan yang lembut dan bercita rasa unik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. "Burgerak" dipilih sebagai subjek penelitian karena representatif terhadap UMKM kuliner di Ambon yang memiliki potensi pertumbuhan,owner juga memiliki kemampuan dalam menganalisis laporan keuangan, seperti laporan laba rugi dan laporan arus kas. Hal ini memungkinkan pemilik usaha untuk membuat keputusan yang lebih tepat, seperti menentukan harga jual yang optimal, mengendalikan biaya produksi, dan merencanakan strategi pengembangan usaha. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam dengan pemilik dan karyawan "Burgerak", serta analisis dokumen keuangan yang tersedia. "Burgerak" mulai menerapkan sistem pencatatan yang lebih terorganisir, termasuk penggunaan software akuntansi sederhana. Penentuan harga pokok dihitung menggunakan metode job order costing dan activity-based costing (ABC) untuk memperoleh gambaran menyeluruh mengenai struktur biaya yang dikeluarkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan penerapan metode penentuan harga pokok yang akurat, pelaku UMKM dapat menetapkan harga jual yang sesuai, menghindari kerugian, serta meningkatkan efisiensi biaya.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the increasing competition of fast food MSMEs in Ambon City, so it is necessary to identify and evaluate the financial conditions and marketing strategies to ensure business sustainability. This study aims to identify and analyze the financial and marketing aspects in determining the feasibility of a business or business in the "Burgerak" MSME in the culinary field. The establishment of this business is an innovation from the business owner who sees the large business opportunities due to the lack of food trends in Ambon City. The method used in this study is a quantitative descriptive approach by obtaining data from interviews, observations, documentation, and simple financial reports. Business feasibility analysis is carried out using net profit indicators, payback period (PP), Net Present Value (NPV), and Profitability Index (PI). The results of the study show that Burgerak MSMEs are financially viable with stable profits, and have a fairly effective marketing strategy in reaching local consumers. However, increasing product innovation and expanding promotional reach are still needed to strengthen the business position in the Ambon culinary market.

Abstract

Classroom presentation is an essential aspect of EFL students' speaking skills, as it involves actively conveying and expressing ideas in front of an audience. However, this activity often causes anxiety that can hinder students' performance. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the various factors that might contribute to the anxiety experienced by EFL students during classroom presentations, as well as identify coping strategies that can help them address their anxiety and enhance their speaking skills. In this study, mixed methods were used by combining quantitative and qualitative approaches to obtain a more in-depth understanding of students' anxiety and the efforts that can be carried out to reduce its impact on speaking performance. The results showed that most students experienced medium level of learning anxiety, while their speaking ability was quite good. However, the relationship between anxiety and presentation skills in English did not show a strong enough correlation. Qualitatively, anxiety affects cognitive impairment, fluency and cohesiveness in speaking, as well as students' confidence level. In addition, the results of this study also highlighted some effective strategies that can be implemented to effectively manage anxiety, such as applying breathing techniques, practicing regularly, and speaking at a slow tempo. Therefore, students are advised to make a more thorough preparation before making an English presentation in class to increase their confidence and speaking fluency.
