Abstract

Background: Pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan keterampilan mentoring guru pamong Bidang Studi PGSD PPG Prajabatan Gelombang 1 Tahun 2024 di Universitas Negeri Malang, mengingat masih adanya kendala dalam praktik mentoring yang efektif. Kegiatan ini, yang akan dilaksanakan pada Agustus 2024, melibatkan guru pamong di sekolah mitra. Metode: Metode pengabdian ini meliputi pelatihan, pendampingan, dan evaluasi untuk mengembangkan keterampilan mentoring yang lebih efektif. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes tulis tentang keterampilan mentoring dan kuesioner mengenai saran serta rencana tindak lanjut. Analisis data dilakukan secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif, menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan uji Paired Sample t-Test. Hasil: Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan nilai yang signifikan setelah pelatihan dibandingkan dengan sebelum pelatihan, yang mengindikasikan efektivitas kegiatan dalam meningkatkan keterampilan mentoring guru pamong. Selain itu, para peserta mengungkapkan bahwa pelatihan ini sangat bermanfaat dalam mendukung peran mereka sebagai mentor mahasiswa PPL PPG. Kesimpulan: Pelatihan memiliki dampak positif terhadap peningkatan keterampilan guru pamong dalam membimbing mahasiswa PPG.

Abstract

Kurikulum tahun 2022 Sekolah Dasar telah diimplementasikan selama kurang lebih tiga tahun, sudah waktunya untuk melakukan evaluasi terhadap program yang termuat. Evaluasi program model formatif-sumatif (scriven model) sesuai untuk digunakan dalam kajian konseptual dan praktikal kurikulum. Bagaimanakah kurikulum 2024 SD secara konseptual? Benarkah membuat perubahan berbasis perubahan? Seberapakah jangkauan perubahan kualitatifnya? Pertanyaan kunci inilah yang dijawab sebagai hasil dan pembahasan. Pertama, kurikulum 2024 SD dengan filosofis pragmatis dan humanistik yang secara konseptual selaras dengan kodrat jaman. Kedua, pendekatan filosofis pragmatis dan humanistik memungkinkan perubahan kurikulum dilakukan sesuai kodrat alam dan kodrat jaman peserta didik. Secara faktual perubahan kurikulum 2024 SD dapat dilakukan pada rumpun kelas sebagai satuan terkecil, dinamika interaksi transaksi kelas akan selalu menjadi basis perubahan kurikulum operasional kelas. Ketiga, data hasil kajian dokumen, wawancara, dan observasi menunjukkan perubahan kualitatif pada capaian pembelajaran laten (outcomes).

Abstract

The aim of this study was to develop and evaluate the ERTIMO application, a learning recommendation tool designed to enhance the quality of early Indonesian literacy instruction conducted by teachers. Utilizing the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) instructional design model, ERTIMO's content was systematically curated through an extensive literature review. The application's feasibility and effectiveness were assessed through expert validations and field trials, employing observations, assessment scales, running records, and writing assignments. Statistical analysis via T-tests confirmed that ERTIMO significantly improved learning quality, particularly in teacher engagement, student participation, and the utilization of learning media, while aspects such as instructional material and learning environment remained largely unchanged. The novelty of ERTIMO lies in its integration of a recommender system to assist teachers in organizing instruction, addressing the prevalent issue of inadequate strategy adoption in early reading and writing literacy for early elementary school class.

Abstract

The fundamental problem in elementary science education is the prevalence of rote learning, which creates a gap between high academic grades and low actual conceptual understanding. This phenomenon of pseudo-performance was specifically identified at Sekolah Dasar Negeri Sempol, where students achieved perfect scores through memorization but failed to explain simple scientific phenomena in their daily lives. To overcome this cognitive gap, this research implements the Contextual Teaching and Learning model, designed to connect abstract academic material with students' concrete real-world experiences. This study employs a quantitative approach with a Pre-Experimental One-Shot Case Study design, involving thirteen third-grade students selected through a total sampling technique. The novelty of this research lies in the specific use of rural environmental resources as an accessible natural laboratory to visualise abstract concepts of matter change, while simultaneously integrating the values of the Sustainable Development Goals regarding quality education and early environmental awareness. The empirical results demonstrate that this approach is highly effective. The data show that the average student learning outcome reached 96.15, with a classical mastery level of 100%. Furthermore, the analysis indicates that student enthusiasm and focus reached their peak. Although students demonstrated varying levels of understanding between concrete concepts, such as melting, and abstract concepts, such as sublimation, the overall learning process successfully transformed passive students into active knowledge constructors. This confirms that high-quality, inclusive science education can be achieved in rural schools with limited facilities.
