Abstract

The surrounding plain of Lake Toba is well known as a shallot producing area in North Sumatra Province. Samosir variety is the mainstay variety of shallot farmers in this area. One of the efforts to increase the productivity of shallot variety Samosir is the application of fertilizer. The amount of N, P and K nutrients given to the Samosir variety shallot plants must be appropriate. This study aims to obtain the optimum dose of N, P and K fertilizers in the cultivation of shallot varieties Samosir planted in the rainy season in the plains around Lake Toba. This study consisted of 3 parallel experiments to determine the optimum N, P, K fertilization with a non-factorial randomized group design (RAK). P2O5 and K2O fertilizers were applied 100% in the N rate experiment, N and K2O fertilizers were applied 100% in the P rate experiment, and N and P2O5 fertilizers were applied 100% in the K rate experiment. Each experiment consisted of 5 levels, namely 0, 50, 100, 150, and 200% of the reference dose and each treatment was repeated 3 times so that there were 45 experimental plots. Parameters were: fresh weight of tubers and crowns at the end of the vegetative period, crown weight and wind-dried harvest tubers. The results obtained the optimum dose of N and P fertilizer recommendations are 154.22 kg N ha-1 and 126.62 kg P2O5 ha-1. For K fertilization does not give a quadratic response pattern so there is no optimum dose.

Abstract

Citizenship education is part of formal education in Indonesia, as well as political education in the context of forming good citizens in carrying out the life of the nation and state. One of the most important points of learning citizenship education is to form good citizens and have political knowledge, especially students as the generation of hope for the nation in influencing the country's political process. This study aimed to see the effect of the Civics course on the political participation of FKIP UNRI students. The research method used in this research is a correlational quantitative research design. Data collection techniques were carried out by field studies (surveys) by distributing questionnaires through the Google form. The data analysis technique used correlation test analysis. The results of this study showed that there was an influence of civics education (PKn) courses on the political participation of FKIP UNRI students based on the results of the correlation test, namely 48.8% in the sufficient category. Its mean that there were 51.2% of other factors that might influence student political participation FKIP UNRI.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan karakter kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam implementasi pendidikan karakter di sekolah, khususnya dalam aspek keteladanan, komunikasi, inovasi, konsistensi nilai, dan pelibatan guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan studi dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 30 guru yang bekerja langsung di bawah kepemimpinan kepala sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar guru (60%) menilai kepala sekolah memberikan keteladanan yang sangat baik dalam hal kedisiplinan dan tanggung jawab. Komunikasi dan koordinasi dinilai positif oleh 87% guru, mencerminkan gaya kepemimpinan yang partisipatif. Namun, inovasi dalam pembinaan karakter dinilai masih kurang optimal oleh 23% responden. Konsistensi dalam penerapan nilai karakter mendapat penilaian sangat baik dari 56% guru. Sementara itu, keterlibatan guru dalam perencanaan program karakter menunjukkan variasi, menandakan perlunya peningkatan kolaborasi antara kepala sekolah dan guru. Temuan ini mempertegas bahwa kepemimpinan kepala sekolah memainkan peran kunci dalam keberhasilan pendidikan karakter di sekolah.

Abstract

Islamic Rural Banks (BPRS) in Indonesia face persistent challenges in achieving optimal operational efficiency, which is crucial for their sustainability and ability to serve the unbanked population. However, the factors driving this efficiency remain underexplored, especially in relation to financial inclusion, internal bank characteristics, and macroeconomic dynamics. This study aims to examine whether financial inclusion, bank-specific factors (capital adequacy ratio, profitability, and default risk), and macroeconomic variables (inflation and exchange rate) influence the operational efficiency of BPRS, as measured by the Operating Efficiency Ratio (OER). Utilizing time series data from January 2014 to June 2024 and applying the ARDL approach, the results reveal that only the exchange rate (in the short term) and capital adequacy ratio (in the long term) significantly affect efficiency. In contrast, financial inclusion, profitability, default risk, and inflation do not show a statistically significant impact in either time frame. Practically, these findings indicate that BPRS managers should prioritize strengthening internal capital structures and managing exposure to exchange rate fluctuations, rather than relying solely on expanding financial inclusion or profitability improvements to enhance efficiency. Abstract

Masyarakat yang sehat termasuk salah satu program pembangunan bangsa dengan visi Indonesia sehat 2025. Obat menduduki peran penting dalam pemeliharaan, pemulihan dan pengobatan terkait permasalahan kesehatan, sehingga dibutuhkan tata laksana yang sesuai dengan tujuannya. Penggunaannya ada yang melibatkan apoteker dan tenaga Kesehatan lainnya namun dapat dilakukan secara mandiri atau lebih dikenal dengan sebutan swamedikasi. Pemerintah dengan program GERMAS sebagai langkah konkrit membangun kesadaran masyarakat cerdas menggunakan obat. Namun masih memiliki potensi kesalahan penggunaan baik dipengaruhi oleh faktor penyalahgunaan dan minim pengetahuan terkait indikasi, cara pakai, reaksi obat dan efek yang diharapkan. Oleh sebab itu upaya edukasi maupun penyuluhan dari tenaga Kesehatan dibutuhkan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dalam bentuk penyuluhan terhadap keramaian massa di Lapangan Merdeka Kota Binjai yang bertepatan dengan peringatan Hari Pramuka ke-61. Kegiatan ini melibatkan civitas akademik Universitas Tjut Nyak Dhien, disambut baik oleh berbagai kalangan warga yang berkumpul. Pengetahuan masyarakat menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan terkait kandungan obat, khasiat, dosis, cara pakai dan efek sampingnya.

Abstract

Literacy refers to the ability to read, write and see the world and retain information. Libraries strive to support education by providing educational materials, information and reference materials. It was reported that there was a decrease in visits to the library, including at SMP Negeri 2 Peukan Bada in Aceh Besar Regency, Aceh Province. Reusing school libraries requires innovation and concrete steps that are appropriate to the current circumstances and conditions of educational development, especially for students who are likely to be the target of providing education in an interesting way. The aim of this community service is to reopen the SMP Negeri 2 Library during school holidays and holidays to carry out student literacy movements. There are five main types of programs implemented through this service. 1) Demonstration and practice of using Artificial Intelligence/AI applications (artificial intelligence applications) correctly based on scientific standards 2) socialization of artificial intelligence applications (AI/Artificial Intelligence joint learning movements in libraries, 4) short story writing and coloring competitions, 5) donations and book processing. The methods used in delivering the program are lectures, demonstrations and exercises. This activity was attended by 60 students.

Abstract

Building a safety culture in the home or family environment will tend to be more difficult than building a safety culture in the workplace. This community service program aims to provide health and safety education to housewives in Naga Umbang Village, Lhoknga District, Aceh. Through various outreach activities, such as seminars, workshops and practical demonstrations, it is hoped that housewives can increase understanding and awareness of the importance of good health practices and safety measures in everyday life. It is hoped that the results of this program evaluation can provide constructive input for continuous improvement and increasing the welfare of local communities.

Abstract

Improving Language and Literature Research Materials for Indonesian Language Lecturers at FKIP Almuslim University is a collaborative effort carried out by lecturers at the Language and Literature Study Program, FKIP Unsyiah, with their colleagues at FKIP Almuslim. The aim of this community service is to enrich understanding and research skills in the field of Indonesian language and literature among lecturers. Through a series of activities, including workshops, training and interactive discussions, Unsyiah lecturers share experiences, methods and resources to increase the research capacity of Indonesian language lecturers at FKIP Almuslim. It is hoped that this collaboration will make a positive contribution in improving the quality of research and teaching of Indonesian language and literature in the academic environment of FKIP Almuslim University.

Abstract

The Tomb of Sultanah Nahrasiyah in North Aceh stands as a testament to the historical prominence of Aceh. This study aims to examine and analyze the inscriptions engraved on the tombstones of Sultanah Nahrasiyah. The methodology consists of meticulous observation and documentation, followed by an in-depth analysis of the tombstone inscriptions. The initial stage involves a historical review of Sultanah Nahrasiyah's leadership. Subsequently, the study emphasizes the participation of female students in the examination and analysis of the inscriptions within the tomb complex. The Arabic inscriptions are analyzed with reference to the Quran, supported by insights from a historical guide who serves as the tomb's custodian. The findings suggest that understanding the historical significance of Sultanah Nahrasiyah's tomb is instrumental in fostering historical awareness and serves as a foundation for applying historical principles to contemporary contexts. This initiative is expected to deepen academic understanding of Sultanah Nahrasiyah's legacy.

Abstract

The village has an important role and position in national development because the concentration and other natural resources are in the village. Planning for village development activities must be harmonious and sustainable, so the need for data and information is very important. Lubuk Kertang Village, Pangkalan Brandan District, Langkat Regency is one of the villages with a lot of potentials that can be used as capital in village development. However, the potential data has not been compiled in a database that can be accessed, manipulated, and updated systematically. Therefore, it is necessary to compile a database of village potential to support significant development planning to be directed and achieve goals. The application of spatial technology to build a database on village potential is currently integrated with the internet network. It can be accessed from anywhere and anytime. Exploration of potential data shows that Lubuk Kertang village has the potential for agriculture, fisheries, forestry, small industry, and ecotourism spread across five hamlets. To manage this village potential database, training data administrators in exploring data, inputting data, and updating data is an important factor in managing the village potential database. Village government officials are very interested and can manage their village potential database
