Abstract

Children with autism tend to have difficulty to sit still during therapy. This causes hindranceinthe therapy process. Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) is one of the best proven ways to treat children with autism. ABA method usually uses a special table called ABA table. However, the ABA table still has some problems in its use. When autistic children throw a tantrum, they often push the therapy table. This makes the therapists have to hold the table with their feet and hurts the therapists feet makes therapy ineffective. This study aims to investigate the effect of oval curvature,base mat addition and alternative designs of a foldable table top addition on the ABA table. The results of this evaluation are expected to improve the effectiveness of ABA table as a therapeutic tool. Research method used observations were carried out using three types of tables. Namely Table A, which is commonly used in ABA therapy, with oval curvatureon its edge and without a permanent base mat, and Table B, which is a table without oval curvature on its edge but with a permanent base mat and table C is equipped with a foldable table top and permanent base mat. Observationswere carried out on therapy sessions of 15 children with autism (12 boys, 3 girls) The results of the second stage testing show that table Cis the best recommendation for use in ABA therapy because it can help increase attention, overcome aggressive behavior and help trainself-developmentin children with autism.

Abstract

The concept of designing behavioral therapy furniture for autistic children must consider the character of autistic children and the therapeutic methods used. The physical environment that meets the needs of autistic children, especially furniture with adapted materials and shapes, greatly influences therapeutic activities. This study aims to implement the participatory design concepts as the basis for designing furniture for autistic children's therapy rooms. The participatory design concept is implemented in the materials and forms of furniture needs tailored to the needs of autistic children. Therefore, designing furniture can support the needs of autistic children in therapy.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian pelatihan pada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan membuat phone holder dengan teknik decoupage pada siswa Banglimascakeb (Kab. Banjarnegara, Purbalingga, Banyumas, Cilacap, Kebumen). Metode kegiatan menggunakan metode ceramah, demonstrasi, tanya jawab serta pelatihan pembuatan phone holder dengan aplikasi teknik decoupage . Pelatihan ini melibatkan dosen Program Studi Desain Produk Institut Teknologi Telkom Purwokerto, yang mengundang siswa-siswi asal Banglimascakeb sebagai peserta pelatihan. Kegiatan workshop pembuatan phone holder dengan teknik decoupage berjalan dengan baik dan berjalan lancar. Siswa mengaplikasikan decoupage pada kayu balsa yang sudah dibentuk pola phone holder . Peserta melaksanakan kegiatan mulai dari memotong, mengaplikasikan lem, decoupage gambar hingga melakukan finishing. Keberhasilan dalam pelatihan ini dilakukan dengan pengamatan secara langsung melalui hasil kinerja dan hasil produk siswa dalam proses persiapan, pelaksanaan pengerjaan, tahap pendampingan dan tahap evaluasi dalam kegiatan pembuatan phone holder . Hasil Kuisioner peserta menyatakan merasa puas dengan adanya kegiatan ini.

Abstract

Sexual violence cannot be ignored. Sexual violence can happen to anyone, be it children, teenagers, adults, men or women. One of the things that can be done to prevent sexual violence can be done using film media. The production of a short film with the title “Demi Nama Baik?” with the hashtag #Don’t Just Shut Up” is a film that tells the assertiveness of the campus in taking action against perpetrators of sexual violence. This research method uses a descriptive qualitative method approach with the concept of fiction film design. The making of this film aims to influence other campuses out there in the process of cracking down on cases of sexual violence that occur within the scope of higher education. This film aims to influence other universities in handling cases of sexual violence on their campuses. Keywords: short film; film; production; sexual violence.

Abstract

The study examines Keraton Ismahayana Landak as a national cultural heritage reflecting the glory of the Landak Kingdom in the past. Located in Desa Raja, near Ngabang city, the palace captivates with its beauty and artistic richness. A holistic approach was used for data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation to reveal the aesthetic value of the palace, including its physical aspects and decorative motifs. The unique architectural form and traditional Malay motifs portray the richness of nature, artist creativity, and ancestral wisdom. Keraton Ismahayana Landak stands as a silent witness to past civilizations and local wisdom, emphasizing the importance of preserving Indonesia's cultural heritage and art

Abstract

This study aims to examine the aesthetic review of the Baitussalam Great Mosque Purwokerto as a case study example in the context of religious architecture. The study was conducted to understand how aesthetic elements in mosque design contribute to the spiritual experience of the worshipers. This research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach by analyzing visual data and literature on mosque architecture and the concept of Islamic aesthetics. The results of the analysis show that the Great Mosque of Baitussalam Purwokerto incorporates a harmonization of traditional and modern elements in its design. The aesthetic beauty and the use of religious symbols create a calming atmosphere and provide a deep spiritual experience. This research can contribute to the development of an understanding of the importance of aesthetics in religious architecture and its application in the context of mosques in Indonesia.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengkaji eksplorasi desain vernakular sebagai identitas visual pesisir melalui studi kasus di Kota Tegal, Jawa Tengah. Fokus utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami bagaimana elemen-elemen desain vernakular, yang dipengaruhi oleh kondisi iklim, budaya lokal, dan sumber daya alam, berkontribusi pada pembentukan identitas visual kota pesisir. Penelitian ini mengidentifikasi berbagai karakteristik arsitektur tradisional yang masih bertahan di Kota Tegal, bentuk bangunan terbuka, serta ornamen dan motif tradisional yang mengandung makna filosofis. Desain vernakular di Kota Tegal tidak hanya berfungsi secara fungsional, tetapi juga menggambarkan nilai-nilai sosial dan budaya yang mengakar dalam masyarakat pesisir. Dengan mempertahankan elemen-elemen desain ini, Kota Tegal mampu mempertahankan keunikan visual dan kebanggaan lokal yang menghubungkan masyarakat dengan sejarah serta tradisi mereka. Artikel ini juga menyoroti pentingnya pelestarian dan pengembangan desain vernakular sebagai strategi untuk menjaga keberlanjutan budaya dan arsitektur. Dari artikel ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan ilmu seni rupa, desain, dan arsitektur, khususnya dalam kajian desain vernakular yang berbasis pada identitas budaya lokal.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus apda wacana kebijakan keberlanjutan dalam dokumen kebijakan Indonesia dan Prancis. Fokus penelitian diarahkan pada RPJMN 2020–2024, UU No. 16 Tahun 2016, PP No. 46 Tahun 2017, serta Code de l’environnement Prancis sebagai representasi dua model tata kelola lingkungan yang berbeda secara ideologis dan institusional. Melalui Analisis Framing (Entman, 1993), Analisis Wacana Kritis (Leeuwen, 2008) penelitian ini menelusuri bagaimana narasi kebijakan keberlanjutan dibingkai, dimaknai, dan dikaitkan dengan praktik diplomasi lingkungan global. Data dikumpulkan melalui studi dokumen dan eksplorasi daring, kemudian dianalisis secara tematik menggunakan NVivo. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Indonesia membingkai keberlanjutan dalam kerangka teknokratis-top–down, dengan penekanan pada pembangunan rendah karbon, integrasi indikator lingkungan dalam perencanaan nasional, dan penguatan tata kelola data. Sebaliknya, Prancis menonjolkan pendekatan berbasis hak dan partisipasi publik, menegaskan lingkungan hidup sebagai kebebasan fundamental yang dijamin undang-undang. Kedua model kebijakan tersebut memperlihatkan sinergi konseptual antara efektivitas instrumen kebijakan dan legitimasi normatif, yang bersama-sama memperkuat arsitektur diplomasi hijau dalam kerangka SDG 13 (Aksi Iklim) dan SDG 17 (Kemitraan Global). Penelitian ini berkontribusi secara teoretis dalam pengembangan model framing lintas-level antara kebijakan nasional dan internasional, sekaligus menawarkan perspektif kritis terhadap diplomasi lingkungan sebagai praktik komunikasi kebijakan global.

Abstract

This community service project focuses on enhancing multilingual digital marketing competencies through the utilization of artificial intelligence (AI) technology at the Job Training Center (UPT Balai Latihan Kerja) of Magelang City. The program was designed to improve the skills of MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) participants in leveraging AI for digital marketing, with an emphasis on the effective creation of multilingual content. The project was implemented in three main stages: (1) Planning, which involved preparatory activities, identification of participants' needs, and the development of relevant training materials; (2) Implementation, as the core phase, in which participants received hands-on training on the application of AI technologies particularly ChatGPT for generating marketing content, social media posts, and blog articles in multiple languages; and (3) Evaluation, during which participants' competency improvements were measured through direct assessments of their generated content and the completion of questionnaires. The evaluation results indicated a significant improvement in participants' abilities to produce engaging and multilingual digital marketing content, as well as a deeper understanding of AI utilization in marketing strategies. This program is expected to make a substantial contribution to expanding the market reach of MSMEs and enhancing their competitiveness in an increasingly global market environment.

Abstract

This community service program was designed to address the low level of digital literacy among high school teachers, particularly in integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into teaching. Observations revealed that most teachers were unfamiliar with AI tools like ChatGPT and Gemini, making it difficult for them to adapt to technological changes in education. The main problem identified was the lack of practical knowledge on how to use AI to design interactive and meaningful learning materials. To solve this, a structured training program was conducted at MAN Temanggung, consisting of workshops, hands-on sessions, and task-based learning focused on prompt creation and digital lesson planning. The training empowered teachers to explore, implement, and evaluate AI tools in their classrooms. As a result, participants demonstrated increased confidence and competence in using AI to support their teaching. This program contributes to enhancing the quality of education and aligns with the goals of Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education).
