Abstract

The problem addressed in this research is students' difficulty in learning plane geometry in mathematics. The objective is to enhance students' learning outcomes using the tangram media in class IV C. This study adopts the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, conducted over two cycles, each comprising planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects are the students of class IV C at SD Negeri 015 Tanjungpinang Timur, with a sample size of 32 students. Data collection techniques involve observation, tests, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, analyzed through both qualitative and quantitative approaches. The results reveal that the use of tangram media for plane geometry in mathematics is successfully implemented. The mathematics KKM (Minimum Mastery Criteria) is set at 75, with a classical learning completeness threshold of 70%. The percentage of student completeness in the pre-cycle shows 11 students passing (34.3%) with an average score of 65.46. In the first cycle, there is an increase with 14 passing students (43.1%) and an average score of 71.56. The second cycle demonstrates further improvement with an average score of 76.87, and 27 passing students (84.3%). Consequently, there is an enhancement in the learning outcomes of class IV C students at SD Negeri 015 Tanjungpinang Timur through the utilization of tangram media in the subject of plane geometry in mathematics.

Abstract

Underage marriage is a marriage at a young age. The government has set the ideal marriage age at 19 for both parties. However, there are still cases of marriages below the age of 19. The purpose of this research is to identify the factors causing underage marriages in Mandalle Sub-district. This research is a qualitative study with a case study approach. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The research design is descriptive. The results show that, first, the factors causing underage marriages in the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) in Mandalle Sub-district, Pangkajene, and Kepulauan Regency are due to low education, lack of knowledge about marriage laws (Law No. 16 of 2019), economic factors, cultural factors, and unwanted pregnancies. Second, the efforts made by Islamic religious counselors in KUA Mandalle Sub-district, Pangkajene, and Kepulauan Regency in handling underage marriages are: (a) conducting counseling or socialization to the community, especially teenagers; (b) Providing information about the impact of underage marriages; (c) Emphasizing the role of parents, as parents play a significant role in a child's decision to marry early. Parents are expected to provide insights and full control over their children so that they understand the consequences of underage marriages.

Abstract

Perkembangan Organisasi Masyarakat di Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara (Prov. Sultra) mengalami peningkatan. Akan tetapi, Ormas yang ada di Provinsi Sultra sampai saat ini masih belum terorganisir dengan baik karena masih banyaknya Ormas yang belum mendaftarkan diri secara kelembagaan kepada Badan Kesatuan Bangsa dan Politik (Kesbangpol) Prov. Sultra. Tujuan penulisan ini untuk mengkaji faktor penghambat pengawasan kegiatan organisasi kemasyarakatan di Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah tipe penelitian yuridis empiris dengan pendekatan analitis secara kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif. Pengawasan Ormas di Sulawesi Tenggara bukan untuk mengekang kebebasan, melainkan untuk melindunginya agar tidak disalahgunakan dan merugikan pihak manapun. Upaya pengawasan dan deteksi dini oleh Badan Kesbangpol dan pihak berwenang memungkinkan konflik segera diatasi dan tidak meluas. Permasalahan yang timbul dalam fasilitasi kebijakan pemerintah daerah untuk pemberdayaan Ormas yaitu masih minimnya dukungan anggaran, sumber daya manusia dan pelaporan perpindahan sekretariat. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa Ormas melalui fasilitasi kebijakan pemerintah daerah juga perlu dioptimalkan untuk meningkatkan kerjasama dan tanggung jawab Ormas dalam menjaga kondusifitas wilayah.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the effect of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model on the character and learning outcomes of students in Social Studies (IPS) in Grade VIII at SMP Negeri 1 Bontolempangan, Gowa Regency. This study used a quantitative approach with an experimental design on 22 Grade VIII A students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and documentation, then analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics (multiple regression and MANOVA). The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the PjBL model significantly improves students‘ character, particularly in terms of discipline, responsibility, cooperation, creativity, and empathy. Additionally, the PjBL model also has a significant positive impact on improving students’ learning outcomes in Social Studies. Multivariate analysis reinforced the findings that the PjBL model simultaneously had a significant effect on the development of students' character and learning outcomes, with a significance value of < 0.05 on all statistical indicators used. These findings confirm that PjBL is effective in building character and improving student learning outcomes holistically in social studies learning. Therefore, the integration of project-based learning models is recommended to support the achievement of more comprehensive educational goals.

Abstract

Xestospongia sp. is one of marine sponge belongs to demosponges class that mainly found in Southeast Sulawesi and the secondary metabolites contained in Xestospongia sp. suspected to have immunomodulatory activity. A previous study exhibited the immunomodulatory of Xestospongia sp. ethanolic extract (XEE) at dose of 300 and 400 mg/Kg BW by affecting the phagocytic activity of macrophages. Thus, this study aims to investigate the effect of XEE towards interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) at dose of 300 and 400 mg/Kg BW. Wistar male rats are divided into 4 groups (n=6) randomly and treated for 7 days orally each as follow: group I (XEE dose of 300 mg/KgBW); group II (XEE dose of 400 mg/KgBW); group III (0.5% NaCMC); and group IV (commercial phylantii extract). On day 8, animals were infected with Staphylococcus aureus and left for 1 hour. Animals were sacrificed and the blood was drawn by cardiac puncture (3 mL), followed by analyzed under ELISA Kit for IFN-γ and TNF-α. Collected data were analyzed statistically using SPSS®. The IFN-γ levels obtained were 350.113; 392.970; 118.416; and 61.958 ρg/mL, respectively and the TNF-α were 2808; 1308; 778; and 845.5 ρg/mL, respectively. According to results obtained, both doses of XEE are affecting the IFN-γ and TNF-α levels (p<0.05) compared to group III as negative control, and group IV as positive control. As conclusion, XEE of both doses is increasing IFN-γ and TNF-α levels of animals that respond to phagocytic activity

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and identify the influence of promotion and service quality on community interest in becoming customers at El Rahma Syariah Cooperative Aikmel. This research is quantitative in nature, using a questionnaire as a tool for data collection from respondents. The sample size was determined using Slovin’s formula, resulting in a total of 83 respondents from a population of 579. The criteria for respondents in this study include active customers up to the present (2024) and those who have savings and financing at El Rahma Syariah Cooperative Aikmel. The analytical technique used in this research involves SPSS software, with validity and reliability tests for questionnaire data, as well as hypothesis testing to examine the influence between independent variables (promotion and service quality) and the dependent variable (interest). The results of the study indicate that promotion has a significant influence on community interest in becoming customers, whereas service quality does not show a significant effect on community interest in joining El Rahma Syariah Cooperative Aikmel. It is crucial for El Rahma Syariah Cooperative Aikmel to provide optimal service to the community.   [Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis dan mengidentifikasi pengaruh promosi dan kualitas pelayanan terhadap minat Masyarakat menjadi nasabah pada Koperasi El Rahma Syariah Aikmel. Penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif dengan menggunakan kuesioner sebagai alat untuk pengumpulan data dari responden. Penetapan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan rumus slovin sehingga sebanyak 579 dari total populasi sehingga jumlah sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 83 responden. Kriteria responden dalam penelitian ini adalah nasabah aktif hingga saat ini (tahun 2024) dan nasabah yang memiliki tabungan dan pembiayaan di Koperasi El Rahma Syariah Aikmel. Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan softwere SPSS dengan uji validitas dan uji reliabilitas data kuisioner, uji hipotesis untuk melihat pengaruh antar variabel independent (promosi dan kualitas pelayanan) dan dependen (minat). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa promosi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap minat Masyarakat menjadi nasabah, sedangkan kualitas pelayanan tidak menunjukkan pengaruh signifikan terhadap minat masyarakat menjadi nasabah pada Koperasi El Rahma Syariah Aikmel. Sangat penting bagi Koperasi El Rahma Syariah Aikmel untuk memberikan Pelayanan yang maksimal terhadap masyarakat.]
