Abstract

Knowledge about how to present material so that it is easier to understand is called PCK (Pedagogical Content knowledge). PCK needs to be owned by teaching staff or prospective teaching staff to determine the approach or method used in delivering learning material so that it is more effective and meaningful. Apart from that, PCK is also one of the standards in preparing teaching staff. The aim of this research is to evaluate PCK in the readiness of biology education students to become prospective teaching staff. This research uses descriptive methods and is quantitative research. The research subjects were nine biology education students. Samples were taken using purposive sampling. PCK data is collected using a questionnaire while data on teaching ability is taken through assessment sheets. Data were analyzed descriptively with percentages and categorized based on score interpretation criteria. The results of this research show that PCK is included in the good category with a percentage of 77.72% and basic teaching abilities are also included in the good category with a percentage of 78.92%. Teachers who have good PCK are able to prepare learning optimally. Teaching ability is also the key to the success of the teaching and learning process, because students gain a lot of experience during the learning process. The conclusion from the results of this research is that the overall PCK of biology education students is included in the good category, which proves that they have the preparation to become educators.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the development of Eucheumaspinosium seaweed cultivation techniques using the long-line method and the quality of seaweed using the long-line method. The samples in this research are seaweed Eucheuma sp. The data collection technique is quantitative data in quantities derived from the shape and cleanliness of seaweed cultivated using the long line method. The data obtained were analyzed using an experimental design (RAL). From the results of the data analysis, it can be seen that cultivating Eucheuma Spinosium seaweed, using node distances of 2cm, 5cm, 10cm, 15cm, and 20 cm, the best node distance to use using the long line method is 10 cm which shows greater growth. fast compared to other distances, but this 10 cm distance still does not affect the quality of the Eucheuma sp seaweed.

Abstract

Learning motivation is a fundamental determinant of students’ academic success and achievement. However, DNA structure material is often perceived as tedious due to its conceptual complexity and conventional teaching methods. This study aims to analyze the effect of a Lego media-based joyful learning approach on enhancing students' motivation in learning DNA structure. The research adopts a quantitative methodology, with participants consisting of 30 Class XII Science students from SMA Negeri 18 Makassar. Motivation data was collected using a 12-statement ARCS (Attention, Relevance, Confidence, and Satisfaction) questionnaire and analyzed through descriptive statistical techniques. The collected data included total scores and mean scores obtained by students. Response options followed a 3-point Likert scale, ranging from highly positive to highly negative (e.g., always, sometimes, never). The findings demonstrate that joyful learning using Lego media significantly improves both learning quality and student motivation. This is evidenced by the students' responses across 12 statement aspects, achieving an average score of 86.3. The interactive and engaging nature of the method actively involved students in the learning process. Thus, it is concluded that Lego-based joyful learning is highly effective in boosting student motivation in DNA structure material.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Jaya Negara dan SMA Cendrawasih Makassar. Permasalahan mitra yaitu Semakin meningkatnya sampah yang ada sehingga dapat merusak lingkungan masyarakat. Serta Masih banyak sampah yang tidak mendapatkan perhatian pemerintah sehingga diperlukan pengelolaan dan daur ulang yang baik oleh siswa/i dan masyarakat.. Alternatif solusi masalah yaitu Memberikan penyuluhan kepada siswa/i dan masyarakat tentang pengelolaan sampah daur ulang menjadi benda-benda yang berguna. Serta memberikan pelatihan cara membuat benda - benda yang berguna dari bahan dasar sampah yang bisa didaur ulang.. Adapun target luaran yang ingin dicapai yaitu Meningkatkan pemahaman kepada siswa/i SMA Jaya Negara dan SMA Cendrawasih serta guru2 dan masyarakat sekitar bahwa sampah dapat dimanfaatkan menjadi barang-barang yang berguna untuk kehidupan sehari-hari, dan meningkatkan kemampuan siswa/i, guru dan masyarakat untuk mendaur ulang sampah menjadi benda-benda yang bermanfaat. Metode yang dilakukan dalam pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini  yaitu pemberian Materi pelatihan seputar Pengelolaan  Sampah Daur Ulang menjadi Barang Serbaguna, kemudian diselingi sharing session mengenai materi-materi tersebut, dan praktek langsung dalam Pengelolaan  Sampah Daur Ulang menjadi Barang Serbaguna serta Sebagai tahap akhir kegiatan diberikan evaluasi. Berdasarkan hasil dan evaluasi pelaksanaan kegiatan maka direkomendasikan: 1). sekolah menyediakan fasilitas pemilahan sampah yang memadai sehingga siswa dapat lebih mudah memilah dan mendaur ulang sampah secara mandiri. 2). perlu diadakan program rutin terkait pengelolaan sampah agar kesadaran dan keterampilan siswa dalam mendaur ulang terus berkembang. 3) Melibatkan lebih banyak pihak.

Abstract

This research aims 1) To determine students' activities using the problem-based learning model in class VIII social studies learning at MTs DDI AL-AMIN. 2) To improve students' critical thinking skills by using the problem-based learning model in class VIII learning at MTs DDI AL-AMIN. This research is classroom action research (PTK) by carrying out 3 cycles, in each cycle there are 4 stages, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. The subjects of this research were class VIII students consisting of 16 students. Data sources obtained from students and teachers. Data collection techniques used were observation, tests and documentation, qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques. Based on the research results, it shows that (1) the implementation of the problem-based learning model to improve students' critical thinking skills in cycle I analyzed the images presented, in cycle II used TTS in learning, cycle III used PPT material and learning videos then made mind mapping. (2) in cycle I for the pretest and posttest it reached 14%, then in cycle II it increased to 43% and in cycle III the percentage of completion reached 91% or overall students had reached the KKM.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital di era modern telah membawa berbagai kemudahan, termasuk dalam pengelolaan keuangan. Namun, rendahnya literasi keuangan digital di kalangan generasi muda berisiko menyebabkan kesulitan dalam mengelola keuangan secara efektif. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk menyampaikan pemahaman tentang literasi keuangan digital kepada siswa SMA Negeri 2 Pangkep. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang pentingnya pengelolaan keuangan secara digital yang bijak, aman, dan efektif. Metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah interaktif, workshop, dan simulasi penggunaan aplikasi keuangan digital. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa setelah pelaksanaan edukasi, terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan dalam pemahaman siswa tentang keuangan digital, baik dari sisi keamanan, penggunaan, maupun manfaatnya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang terjadi di kalangan guru-guru Sekolah Dasar khususnya di kabupaten Maros adalah penggunaan angka dan huruf tingkat dasar yang masih kurang. Hal ini mengakibatkan bahan ajar yang dikembangkan oleh guruguru tersebut bisa dikatakan tidak layak untuk digunakan. Oleh karena itu, solusi yang ditawarkan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah; 1) memberikan motivasi kepada siswa agar tertarik untuk belajar materi dasar yakni angka dan huruf, 2) meningkatkan pengetahuan guru dalam menentukan jenis bahan ajar yang cocok untuk diterapkan, 3) memberikan motivasi kepada guru untuk meningkatkan keterampilan yang dapat membuat anak tertarik dengan materi yang disajikan. Kegiatan pengabdian di laksanakan di SMPN 10 Bantimurung, Kecamatan Tanralili, Kabupaten Maros dengan melibatkan guru-guru SMP yang berada di sekitar sekolah tersebut. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah 1) menunjukkan semangat para guru untuk menanggapi materi penerapan bahan ajar untuk pengenalan huruf dan angka tingkat dasar, hal ini di tandai dengan adanya guru yang mengajukan pertanyaan, saran dan kritik, 2) Terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan dan pemahaman guru tentang konsep pengenalan angka dan huruf bagi guru-guru SMP, 3) Adanya respon positif dari para peserta yang ditandai dengan pengerjaan tugas mandiri.Kata Kunci: Bahan Ajar, Angka, Huruf, Guru-Guru SD.

Abstract

This study aims to process chayote (Secium edule) into three types of food products: dodol (sweet potato flakes), chips, and candy. It also aims to determine consumer acceptance through organoleptic tests, consumer interest, purchasing power, and price preferences. This quantitative study involved 20 panelists. The organoleptic test was conducted on four aspects: color, aroma, texture, and taste, with a rating scale of 1-5. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively and statistically tested using one-way ANOVA. The results showed that candy had the highest average organoleptic score of 4.45, followed by chips (4.25), and dodol (4.15). One-way ANOVA analysis showed that there were significant differences between the products in terms of color with an F-value of 40.6234 and a P-value of 0.0000, and aroma F=7.7869, P=0.0010, while in terms of texture F=2.6330, P=0.0806, and taste F=3.1065, P=1.0524. This indicates that there is no significant difference because the P value is >0.05. The results of this study are that chayote candy (Secium edule) is a product with the highest level of panelist acceptance compared to dodol and chips, especially in terms of color and aroma. These results indicate that chayote candy (Secium edule) has the potential to be developed as a competitive applied biology-based food product, while opening new economic opportunities for the Rappolemba village community. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengelolah labu siam (Secium edule) menjadi tiga jenis produk pangan yaitu, dodol, keripik, dan permen serta mengetahui tingkat penerimaan konsumen melalui uji organoleptic, minat konsumsi, daya beli dan preferensi harga. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan melibatkan 20 orang panelis. Adapun uji organoleptik dilakukan pada empat aspek yaitu, warna, aroma, tekstur, dan rasa dengan skala penilaian 1-5. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif dan diuji secara statistik menggunakan ANOVA satu arah. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa produk permen memiliki nilai rata-rata organoleptik tertinggi yaitu 4,45 diikuti oleh keripik 4,25 dan dodol 4,15.  Analisis anova satu arah menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara produk pada aspek warna dengan nilai F-hitung = 40, 6234 dan P-value = 0,0000, dan aroma F=7,7869, P= 0,0010, sedangkan pada aspek tekstur F=2,6330,P=0,0806, dan rasa F=3,1065, P=1,0524. Hal ini menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan karena nilai P> 0,05. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa permen labu siam (Secium edule) merupakan produk dengan tingkat penerimaan panelis paling tinggi dibandingkan dodol dan keripik khususnya pada aspek warna dan aroma. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa permen labu siam (Secium edule) berpotensi untuk dikembangkan sebagai produk pangan berbasis biologi terapan yang memiliki daya saing, sekaligus membuka peluang ekonomi baru bagi Masyarakat desa Rappolemba.
