Abstract

This research aims to (1) to identify and provide an overview related to the hard work of a mother as a river sand miner in meeting the needs of family life and (2) To identify and provide an overview related to the disclosure of a mother as a river sand miner in meeting the needs of family life in Hamlet III Pombaloya, Nupabomba Village. qualitative research methods with the purposive withdrawal of informants. The results showed that based on the flow of activities mothers as sand miners must first finish (a) homework starting from dawn by preparing breakfast and cleaning the house. Next (b) work from morning to night to mine sand in the river. The work is done for several reasons for survival and changing the fate conveyed in the dimension of self-disclosure, namely (a) daily eating needs, (b) the need for education, and (c) the need for medicine.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and provide an overview related to the mediator communication model in the interpersonal relationships of married couples through the ta'aruf process in Palu City.The research method uses qualitative types. Data collection techniques are in-depth interviews (in-depth interview) and direct observation. For analytical techniques using Data Reduction, Data Presentation, and Conclusion Drawing/Verification. The results showed that the mediator's communication model in Islamic marriages through ta'aruf process in Palu City consisted of (a) Asking marriage readiness. The mediator will ask the brothers and sisters related to their readiness to marry in Islam through the ta'aruf process, (b) Self Biodata. For brothers and sisters who are ready to get married are required to write their data consisting of name, height, profession/occupation, number of siblings to the illness, (c) Face-to-face communication is divided into two stages (1) Introduction. Both of them can only convey messages through a dividing barrier like a curtain, but if they feel comfortable, the mediator allows the brothers to see the face of the sisters even though veiled and can communicate directly, and (2) Applying. In this process, the cleric as a mediator has the role of providing enlightenment to the woman's family or parents regarding Islamic marriage so that it is not complicated and (d) Advice. Before getting married, the cleric as a mediator first gives marriage advice, such as maintaining prayer time prayers and other worship, not being selfish, responsible based on the role of husband and wife, and the most important thing is not having an affair.

Abstract

Marriage is an expression of the peak of a relationship in which there are various kinds of rules that certainly cannot be broken, especially concerning infidelity. The purpose of the study was to determine the interpersonal communication strategy of husband and wife in preventing infidelity in Donggala Regency. Qualitative research method. Informants were taken by purposive sampling technique. This study uses observation and in-depth interviews. The results showed that in preventing acts of infidelity, interpersonal communication strategies that must be applied by husband and wife couples in Donggala Regency are mutual respect, maintaining commitments that have been mutually agreed upon, being open to each other in information, applying polite and courteous attitudes towards partners. , maintain the sense of trust given by the partner, and the most important thing is to be able to control yourself well when using social media that can connect with anyone, both near and far.

Abstract

Proses interaksi yang dilakukan oleh setiap manusia, seiring bertambahnya usia dan pengalaman hidup, umumnya terjadi proses relationship yang di dalamnya terdapat komitmen sehingga mampu dibuktikan dalam hubungan pernikahan baik sah berdasarkan agama dan hukum yang berlaku di negara Indonesia. Hidup bersama dengan orang yang dicintai dan mendapatkan keturunan adalah impian dari setiap orang. Terbentuknya keluarga kecil yang bahagia menandakan bahwa antar suami dan istri mampu menjalankan pernikahan dengan proses manajamen yang baik. Menurut Brehm (1992) mengatakan bahwa pernikahan merupakan ekspresi puncak dari sebuah hubungan intim dan janji untuk bersama seumur hidup (dalam Wisnuwardhani & Mashoedi, 2012: 90). Pada dasarnya,bagian terpenting dalam sebuah pernikahan yaitu membentuk sebuah keluarga bahagia yang di dalamnya terdapat suami, istri dan anak baik berdasarkan pada ikatan darah atau melalui proses adopsi. Berdasarkan realita yang terjadi saat ini, meskipun telah melalui tahap pranata sosial untuk mencapai level pernikahan, namun banyak ditemukan pasangan suami istri yang mengalami konflik rumah tangga disebabkan adanya tindakan perselingkuhan. Artinya bahwa komitmen yang sudah disepakati secara bersama-sama dan aturan yang berasal dari agama dilanggar dengan penuh kesadaran meskipun telah dipahami bahwa tindakan yang dilakukan adalah sebuah kesalahan. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan memberikan gambaran terkait dengan strategi komunikasi antarpribadi dalam mencegah terjadinya tindakan perselingkuhan pada hubungan rumah tangga suami dan istri di Kabupaten Donggala. Adapun sasaran pada pengabdian yakni ibu Pembinaan Kesejahteraan Keluarga (PKK) desa Nupabomba Kecamatan Tanantovea.

Abstract

Foreign culture has become an important part of the inhabitants of a country.They must do effective communication to establish cooperation with others. This study aims to determine how the forms of cultural commotion experienced by foreign students at Tadulako University, and to determine the role of communication carried out by foreign students in overcoming the culture commotion. The type of research used wasqualitative with the case study method. Data were obtained by conducting observation and in-depth interview. The technical analysis of the data used in this study wasan interactive model of analysis. Based onthe four phases ofculture shock, the level of culture shock wasthe most influential phase in the communication process which included intercultural communication in the form of culture shock experienced by foreign students at Tadulako University.It wasthe phase of cultural problems (culture shock) in terms oflanguage, food, environment (including weather, housing, and academics), characteristics ofpeople ofPalu, religion, and Indonesian culture. Intercultural communication plays an important role in overcoming miscommunication between foreign students and students of the University of Tadulako, because intimacy between fellow foreign students and students of the University of Tadulakocan be established through communication, making it easier for different cultures to understand and appreciate each other.Thus,familiarity began to form, such as an awareness to open up more than before by which the foreign students and Tadulako University students could understandtheir interlocutors, find solutions to be able to communicate more effectively and know how to act to avoid miscommunication.

Abstract

Ta'aruf is a form of interpersonal communication between men and women who want to get to know each other before getting married. Ta'aruf, in the context of marriage, is a process of introduction facilitated by a companion in meeting between prospective husband and wife. Getting married according to Islamic law is a good thing because it avoids adultery, because many Muslims are found to prefer the dating process first and even get pregnant and then get married. This is certainly not a good thing, so it is necessary to provide education to teenagers in this case students of the Widyaloka Palu Campus to be wiser in behaving and to be able to follow Islamic law if they want to get married, of course by utilizing good communication between men and women. Based on the results of education, in Indonesia the concept of ta'aruf has begun to be applied by Muslim circles with the aim that Muslims know how to properly ta'aruf in order to get married based on Islamic law. The initial process of ta'aruf is to exchange information not directly but through the intermediary of biodata between candidates given to the mediator. Ta'aruf marriages in Palu City are widely carried out by Muslims who do indeed aim to get married for worship. It was further explained that Widyaloka Palu students then understood very well about the benefits of ta'aruf, namely to be able to avoid sins such as adultery. Marriage that goes through the ta'aruf process can certainly bring both people closer to the Creator because the relationship they do as a husband and wife aims to worship Allah SWT.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the telegram application as a medium for watching movies in meeting the needs and satisfaction of broadcasting concentration communication science students. By using the Uses and Gratification theory model. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with a questionnaire as a research instrument and data collection using the Simple Random Sampling technique. The population in this study were 116 Communication Science students with a broadcasting concentration who had been totaled from the class of 2019 and 2020. Data analysis in this study used quantitative descriptive data analysis. The results showed that as a medium for watching movies, the telegram application was effective in meeting the needs and satisfaction of broadcasting concentration communication science students with an average result of 2.88 which was calculated using the help of the SPSS version 26.0 statistical calculation application. The conclusion of this study is that the effectiveness of the telegram application of broadcasting concentration Communication Science students tends to be effective in meeting the needs and satisfaction as a medium for watching movies.

Abstract

Every group public Which adhere to religion certain must Can show behavior positive to group religion Which other And so also on the contrary, as in the community in Parisan Agung Village. Religious differences require people to tolerate. Objective study that is For know And give description about Religious tolerance in community group communication in Donggala Regency. Draft theory used related with tolerance and communication group with focus on conversational boundary theory. Method study qualitative with technique taking informant use purposive. Technique collection data is interview deep (In-depth Interview) and observation direct. For technique analysis use Data Reduction, Presentation Data and Conclusion Drawing/Verification. The results of the study show that in Parisan Agung Village, Donggala Regency, there is a plurality of religions that must be maintained properly through tolerant behavior by utilizing good communication between fellow Muslims and Christians. Tolerance is applied by using polite, friendly messages, mutual respect, empathy and not being easily influenced by hate speech on social media or face to face. Examples of tolerant behavior that are applied are inviting and attending the celebration of Eid al-Fitr and Christmas, helping each other in building houses of worship, not questioning worship carried out by other religions and saying sorry physically and mentally and Merry Christmas. Furthermore, often meeting in a village activity, either at a wedding, thanksgiving event and so on, the meeting is carried out by greeting each other. In the communication process that occurs between religious communities in Parisan Agung Village, each community limits the way they speak, meaning only conveying positive messages, and not discussing negative things that are related to a particular religion. This form of tolerance is a form of maturity from the people of Parisan Agung Village, Donggala Regency in order to maintain harmonious, harmonious and peaceful relationships.

Abstract

Objective study that is know And give description related with Master of Ceremony's communication style in guiding sacred wedding events based on the customary patterns of the Kaili Tribe in Central Sulawesi   Method study qualitative with technique taking informant use purposive. Technique collection data is interview deep ( Indepth Interviewing) And observation direct For technique analysis use Data Reduction, Presentation Data And Conclusion Drawing / Verification The research results show that in the marriage ceremony procession, the MC guides the event precisely and accurately or what is called (precive), that is, there is no need to add too much vocabulary, because there will be a session for traditional parents and religious figures to speak. Furthermore, at the Kaili traditional wedding reception there was also limited inclusion, namely only the Peulu Cinde dance as a dance of appreciation for the bride and groom who were present and the invited guests. The MC also plays a role in explaining the meaning of the dance to support the course of the event or what is called (relaxed). At the Kaili tribe's wedding reception, an MC must be able to play a tone of voice (dramatic), use good body gestures (animated expressive), be able to argue logically according to the event's friends (argumentative), show polite etiquette in conveying good messages. speak Kaili and Indonesian. Abstract

The research objectives are (1) To determine the stage of the crisis that occurred at PT. OSJAS, (2) To describe the leadership strategy in dealing with the crisis after the abuse of power of employees at PT. OSJAS. This type of research is a qualitative research with a case study basis. This research was conducted at PT. OSJAS which is located in Tawaili District, North Palu. The research concept is about the crisis and the leadership strategy in dealing with the crisis at PT. OSJAS, subjects or informants in this study amounted to seven people. The type of data used in this study is the type of primary and secondary data. As a tool in data collection using observation and in-depth interviews (depth interviews). The results showed that the crisis faced by PT. OSJAS is a stage of Crisis Resolution. This stage of crisis resolution was obtained in accordance with the results of the study by identifying the crisis that the problems that arise are caused by the abuse of power of employees who are given special authority as managers of PT. OSJAS. PT. OSJAS is in the resolution stage because it has gone through the repair process. Furthermore, in the incident the leadership of PT. OSJAS handled the crisis with an adaptive strategy with quite extensive handling steps. The first was to change the policy by dismissing SA as a manager at PT. OSJAS to avoid even greater losses, the second to straighten the company's image, this strategy is to restore public trust in the company from negative perceptions by delivering information related to the case that occurred at PT. OSJAS.
