Abstract

The biggest hope of parents is that they want to have children who are pious and pious, polite and polite, and excel in various aspects, the magnitude of this hope is a great motivation so that this big hope is not just a wish. So it becomes a big question how parents can realize these expectations, that is the most important. In order to further realize the function of education as a vehicle for human resource development, it is necessary to develop a constructive teaching and learning climate for the development of potential, creative students along with the development of atmosphere, habits, and teaching and learning strategies with an understanding of the supporting sciences, including giftedness and creativity to encourage the creativity of students. Based on this, this study aims to explain the effectiveness of the role of parental and teacher guidance in forming ideal children at SDN Lamedai. This study uses a qualitative approach, with observation data collection techniques, interviews and documentation. As for analyzing the data using descriptive qualitative data analysis. In this study, researchers used three triangulations, namely triangulation of sources, methods and investigators. Source triangulation is used by comparing the results of observation data, interviews and documentation. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the role of fostering parents in shaping their ideal children can be achieved in various ways, especially cooperation between parents and teachers by coordinating children's activities at home and at sc.

Abstract

This research was aimed to answer the question of research namely What were the learning needs of the students in the English Speaking Program at Pondok Tahfidz Al-Qur’an Al-Hudzaifiyyah? To answer the research question, a survey research was employed. The instruments of the research were questionnaires and interview guidelines. The data were explained in the description form. The participants of the research were 20 students at Pondok Tahfidz Al-Qur’an Al-Hudzaifiyyah Kolaka as the respondents for the questionnaire, and five students were chosen as the respondents for the interview. The result showed that they needed to speak English in religious context, but the problem was that their speaking skills were still weak. Secondly, learning need of the students in learning English were materials that provided vocabularies related to Islamic studies, conversation exercises regarding religious activities, and English grammar which is suitable with their speaking level.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effect of the process skills approach using picture stories on reading comprehension and reading interest of Aisyiyah Muhammadiyah 3 Elementary School Makassar fifth-grade students. This research is a quasi-experimental study with a nonequivalent control group design. The research population was all fifth-grade students at Aisyiyah Muhammadiyah 3 Makassar Elementary School, totaling 30 students. Sampling was done through the saturated sampling technique. Data was collected through tests and questionnaires and then analyzed descriptively and differentially using the Independent T-Test and the Manova Test. Based on the study's results, it can be concluded that the process skills approach using picture stories positively affects reading comprehension and reading interest in fifth-grade students of Aisyiyah Muhammadiyah 3 Makassar Elementary School.

Abstract

This study aims to increase students' self-confidence through group counseling services with role play techniques. The method used is Guidance and Counseling Action Research which consists of several cycles, including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were participants who were educated with low levels of self-confidence based on the results of the initial assessment. The role playing technique was chosen because it is able to provide direct experience to participants in dealing with social situations, thus helping them develop self-confidence. The role playing technique in group counseling proved to be effective in increasing students' self-confidence. In cycle I, the average self-confidence increased from 46.9% to 65.1%, with 37.5% of students in the high category and 62.5% in the medium category. In cycle II, the average increased to 71.31%, with 87.5% of students in the high category and 12.5% in the medium category. This increase was characterized by the participants' ability to express opinions, interact with peers, and show a confident attitude in daily activities. These findings suggest that the application of role playing techniques can be an effective alternative strategy in guidance and counseling services. Future researchers are advised to test the effectiveness of this role playing technique on a larger population of students or at various levels of education.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance the understanding of English grammar among members of the New Generation Club (NGC) through an interactive method. The program consists of several stages, including planning meetings, guided training, group discussions, practical simulations, and the provision of relevant reference books such as The Art of English and Grammar is Easy. The results of this training show significant improvements in participants' grammar skills, as well as increased confidence in communicating in English. The interactive discussion method applied has proven effective in deepening participants' understanding of grammar structures, while the use of reference books provides a strong foundation for continuous learning. Participants have shown progress not only in their understanding of grammar but also in their speaking and interaction skills in English. This training has made a positive contribution to the development of English language skills among New Generation Club members, and with its enjoyable and relevant approach to participants' needs, the training encourages them to continue learning and independently honing their language skills.

Tujuan penelitian ini meminimalisir perilaku Agresif verbal di lingkungan sekolah, seperti perundungan verbal atau komentar kasar di antara siswa, semakin mendapat perhatian serius karena dampaknya terhadap perkembangan emosional dan akademik siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menemukan penyebab agresi verbal di sekolah dan cara terbaik untuk mencegahnya melalui konseling kelompok teknik self management.  Penelitian ini menggunakan PTBK dengan model Kemmis dan MC Taggart, dilaksanakan dua siklus, dengan tahap perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi.  Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari delapan siswa yang di kelas VIII D dan mengalami masalah perilaku agresif verbal.  Angket, observasi, dan wawancara adalah alat yang digunakan.  Konseling kelompok tentang teknik manajemen diri adalah contoh tindakan yang dilakukan.  Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan penurunan perilaku agresif verbal pada pra tindakan presentase 82,25% menuruan menjadi 56,68% setelah siklus I. Selanjutnya, setelah siklus II konseling kelompok teknik self management, persentase penurunan perilaku agresif verbal 43,75% menurun dibanding sebelum konseling kelompok teknik self management.  Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan konseling kelompok teknik manajemen diri berhasil mengurangi perilaku agresif lisan siswa SMPN 2 Palu

Abstract

The wide-ranging and provision of high-end technology have brought a significant impact on the world of education. Teacher and student are expected to collaborate effectively in learning process using technology. This paper reveals the investigation on student’s perception towards the implementation of Moodle-based e-learning in ELT as well as some problems encountered by the users (learners) in utilizing the platform. A mix method approach was employed using online survey and interview. Three classes consisting 62 students who have experienced a Moodle-based e-learning were engaged both in the survey and interview. The data obtained from the online survey was analyzed using a RASCH measurement analysis with IRT (Item Response Theory) approach. The result shows a positive trend on student’s perceived usefulness (PU), ease of use (EoU), behavioral intention (BoI) towards the implementation of the platform. This article also provides several suggestions for further research and development within the area of Moodle-based e-learning platform.

Abstract

Pendidikan inklusif adalah pendekatan yang memberikan kesempatan setara bagi anak-anak berkebutuhan khusus (ABK) untuk mendapatkan pendidikan berkualitas di lingkungan yang menghargai perbedaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap peran pendidikan inklusif di SLB Tunas Harapan Mekongga dalam memberdayakan anak berkebutuhan khusus (ABK), serta tantangan dan dampak penerapannya. Melalui metode wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, penelitian ini menemukan beberapa hal penting. Pertama, strategi pemberdayaan ABK meliputi pendekatan individualisasi pembelajaran, pengembangan keterampilan hidup, dan penggunaan alat bantu serta teknologi pendukung. Kedua, tantangan yang dihadapi mencakup keterbatasan fasilitas dan sumber daya, kurangnya guru yang terlatih dalam pendidikan khusus, serta kendala transportasi bagi siswa. Ketiga, dukungan orang tua sangat signifikan dalam mendukung proses pembelajaran, meskipun dukungan dari komunitas masih terbatas. Keempat, dampak pendidikan inklusif yang tercatat meliputi peningkatan kepercayaan diri, kemampuan sosial, serta kemajuan akademik yang sesuai dengan kemampuan setiap siswa. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa meskipun pendidikan inklusif di SLB Tunas Harapan Mekongga memberikan manfaat besar bagi ABK, namun sejumlah tantangan yang ada memerlukan perhatian lebih dari berbagai pihak, termasuk pemerintah dan masyarakat, untuk mendukung keberlanjutan dan pengembangan pendidikan inklusif.
