A mixed method method that applies the CIPP model developed by Guba and Stufflebeam was used in this study to obtain comprehensive results. The research was conducted at  Undergraduate Economic Education, State University of Malang, and Surabaya State University. Based on the evaluation of the CIPP model in the ndergraduate Economic Education study program, the State University of Malang and Surabaya State University, it can be concluded that the two study programs have achieved the excellent category. This is achieved through acquiring A and AQAS international accreditation for both study programs. However, this achievement has yet to 100% meet the criteria of national standards according to applicable regulations, so evaluation and improvement can be carried out to improve the quality of Indonesian education further. The  Undergraduate Economic Education study program of the State University of Malang and Surabaya State University is advised to evaluate educational programs independently and periodically as material for improving and developing study programs following the needs of society and the times, as well as considering policy recommendations that have been prepared in the results of this evaluation research.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

The low financial inclusion index among 15–17-year-olds, at only 57.96%, highlights an urgent need for targeted interventions. Financial inclusion is an important factor in the growth and development of a country, as well as a driver of the achievement of the SDGs. Therefore, community service activities were carried out focused to increase Gen Z's understanding and active participation in financial services. This community service activity uses the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, which consists of five stages: Research and Intervention Goals, Assessment of Needs, Action Planning, Action Taking, and Project Outcomes. A total of 427 tenth-grade students from senior high school in Surabaya participated. Interventions included the development and classroom use of interactive flipbooks on Central Banking, Payment Systems, and Payment Instruments, combined with contextual learning activities such as financial education sessions with Bank Indonesia, bank account openings, and hands-on digital transactions (e.g., QRIS, e-wallets, and mobile banking) during a school entrepreneurship bazaar. Data were collected through pre- and post-tests, structured questionnaires, interviews, and behavioral observations. Quantitative analysis was used to measure cognitive gains (test scores) and behavioral indicators (account openings and digital transaction frequency). The results showed a significant increase in students’ knowledge and participation in formal financial systems. The combination of interactive digital media and contextual experiential learning effectively bridged the gap between Gen Z’s digital potential and their financial inclusion. This model can be scaled nationally to support inclusive economic development among youth.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of grade X students in phase E, senior high school in Indonesia, on the material of characteristics and security elements of the Rupiah currency by applying the hands-on investigation model. The background of the study was the low learning outcomes of students on the material of payment instruments, especially the characteristics and security elements of Rupiah, because the characteristics of the material are conceptual and abstract, and the use of lecture methods is less effective. The research method used is Collaborative Classroom Action Research between researchers, economics teachers, and lecturers, which is carried out in two stages, namely pre-cycle and cycle. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. In cycle I, learning is carried out using the 3D method (seen, touched, and held up to the light) to identify the authenticity of Rupiah. In cycle II, using UV lights as additional media to detect invisible security elements enhances learning. The results of the study showed an increase in the average value of students from 55.64 (pre-cycle) to 71.39 (cycle I) and increased significantly to 88.91 (cycle II). The percentage of learning objective achievement also increased from 27% (pre-cycle), 61% (cycle I), to 90.9% (cycle II). The study results prove that the hands-on investigation model effectively improves students' understanding of the material and the authenticity of the Rupiah.
