Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the history and meaning of Ulos Batak Toba. This type of research uses descriptive qualitative research of the literature review type. The data source used in this research is Batak script books. The data collection technique used in this research is the reading and note-taking technique. In analyzing the data, the author uses text analysis techniques. In traditional wedding ceremonies, this ulos is given by the bride's parents to the groom's mother as ulos pargomgom, meaning that her in-laws can always be with their daughter-in-law (the child of the ulos giver). Ulos Ragi Hotang Ulos Ragi Hotang is also of high rank. This Ulos is used for someone who is considered cunning in the hope that God can change his character into a wise person, someone who is struck by misfortune, and someone who works diligently. In death ceremonies, ulos is used to wrap the body or bones during the second burial ceremony. Ulos Maratur Ulos maratur has a striped motif depicting birds or animals arranged in an orderly manner. Usually this ulos is used as a parompa ulos with the hope that after the first child is born, other children will follow as many as the birds or animals depicted on the ulos.

Abstract

The discussion in this research is about expressive speech acts with a pragmatic review. The aim of this research was to find out how many forms and functions of expressive speech acts. The data source used is the Novel Rain Episode by Lucia Priandarini. This research uses qualitative descriptive research. The data collection stage of the research used researchers using data collection techniques contained in quotations from sentences in the novel Episode Rain to obtain a number of data. The theory used is John Searle's speech act theory. The form of speech acts uses Wijana's theory. The function of speech acts using John Searle's theory is classified into expressive speech act functions including The function of apologizing, complaining, getting angry, criticizing, thanking, and congratulating. The benefit of this research is to provide additional knowledge and understanding of expressive speech acts which are studied using pragmatics. The results of this research show several forms of expressive speech, including apologizing speech (7), complaining expressive speech (2), angry expressive speech (5), criticizing expressive speech (1), congratulating expressive speech (1), expressive speech of thanks (1). Meanwhile, the function of expressive speech in the novel consists of several functions including: The function of apologizing (7), complaining (2), getting angry (5), criticizing (1), congratulating (1), and thanking (1).Keywords: Pragmatics, Expressive Speech Acts, Function, Form

Abstract

Skripsi ini berjudul Analisis Makna Tuturan Umpasa " Manulangi Tulang " dalam Adat Batak Toba di Desa Hutapaung, kecamatan Pollung: Kajian Antropolinguistik. Secara sederhana tujuannya untuk menganalisis makna dan nilai-nilai budaya yang terkandung dalam upacara adat Manulangi Tulang yang sudah jarang sekali dilakukan oleh masyarakat Batak Toba. Penelitian ini menggunakan data lisan. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data adalah metode simak, data dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode padan yang penentunya di luar, terlepas, dan tidak menjadi bagian dari bahasa (Langue) yang bersangkutan. Teknik dasarnya berupa teknik pilah unsur penentu (PUP) dengan alat penentu yang digunakan adalah daya pilah yang bersifat mental yang dimiliki oleh peneliti sendiri, dan hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah tuturan Umpasa dalam upacara adat Manulangi Tulang dalam adat Batak Toba yang mengandung beberapa makna diantaranya: makna membandingkan/Penyamaan, makna menasihati dan makna mengharapkan sesuatu. Berdasarkan parameter orientasi nilai budaya dari penelitian Umpasa yang tercermin dalam upacara adat Manulangi Tulang secara universal yaitu: Nilai religi, nilai Kesopansantunan, nilai kesetiakawanan, nilai kerukunan, nilai komitmen, nilai pikiran positif, nilai rasa syukur, nilai kesejahteraan, nilai kerja keras, nilai disiplin, nilai pendidikan, nilai kesehatan dan nilai gotong-royong.

Abstract

The existence of PAUD or pre-school education is increasingly needed in society. This is especially true because of the current rapid population growth, which causes demands to provide the best educational institutions for children. PAUD is an education given to children aged 0 to 6 years in helping their growth and development to enter the next level of elementary school education. In this case, teachers have a very important role for children because they function as examples or role models for children. In the learning process, teachers are the ones who can organize effective learning and adjust it to the stages of child development. The learning process will be interesting if learning resources and media are used correctly according to the learning design. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of PAUD teachers in the use of APE and identify the impact of using APE on child development in PAUD, as well as to determine the difficulties faced by PAUD teachers when using APE as a learning aid. This study uses a qualitative approach, and looks at how PAUD teachers use APE in early childhood education institutions (especially in PAUD Ar-Rahmat). The data collection techniques used by researchers were by using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The results of the study show that PAUD teachers play a very important role in selecting, designing, and integrating APE into the learning process, which has a positive impact on child development.

Abstract

The Abbasid Dynasty has produced many important figures who made great contributions to the development of Islamic civilization. Caliphs such as Abu al-Abbas alSaffah, Abu Ja'far al-Manshur, Harun ar-Rasyid, and Al-Ma'mun played a very good role in advancing the Abbasid Caliphate, both in terms of politics, economy, and science. It should be noted that the Abbasid Dynasty was an Islamic government that implemented a more open and tolerant policy towards non-Muslims, such as Christians, Jews, and Zoroastrians. Thus, giving birth to pluralism, thus encouraging the development of more diverse science and culture. The purpose of this study is to determine the learning methods used in mosques during the Abbasid Dynasty and to analyze the influence of mosques on the development of Islamic science and education during the Abbasid Dynasty. This research was conducted using a literature review system approach. This approach views existing literature as part of an interrelated system, where each element (theory, concept, research findings) influences and interacts with each other to form a more comprehensive understanding. The results of this study indicate that the characteristic of the peak of the glory of the Abbasid Dynasty was significant progress in the field of science, marked by the large number of Muslim scientists in the Abbasid era and the main factor in the glory of the Abbasid Dynasty was the establishment of Bait al-Hikmah, kuttab, and mosques as centers of learning at that time.

Abstract

Negara-negara berkembang dominan cenderung membentuk kebijakan yang mengadopsi teori-teori pendidikan dari negara-negara maju dan kurang memperhatikan kajian nilai-nilai budayanya sendiri. Jalan pintas ini berdampak mengaburkan otentisitas, kontekstualitas dan makna pendidikan di negara-negara berkembang. Orientasi pendidikan juga berubah, yaitu menjadi liberal dan materialistis, yaitu menitikberatkan pada pemenuhan kebutuhan pasar tenaga kerja, sehingga tugas pendidikan membentuk jati diri atau karakter bangsa tersingkir dari wacana pendidikan. Pendidikan Indonesia juga telah mengalami proses yang sangat berbeda dari perkembangan budaya. Di Indonesia, pendidikan bukan lagi masalah budaya, tetapi kepentingan politik dan ekonomi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui isi pemikiran Ibnu Khaldun tentang hubungan antara pendidikan dan kebudayaan. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kepustakaan. Bersamaan dengan pengumpulan data melalui proses dokumentasi, analisis data dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif-analitik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pandangan Ibnu Khaldun, tentang keberadaan pendidikan merupakan salah satu faktor utama kemajuan peradaban manusia. Pendidikan dan ilmu pengetahuan hanya berkembang dalam peradaban dan kebudayaan yang dinamis.
