Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze what are the dominant factors that influence student interest in entrepreneurship. The population of this research is all students of the management study program of the Faculty of Economics, Santo Thomas Catholic University who have taken entrepreneurship courses. The sample is 100 students, the method of collecting data is through questionnaires and documentation, the variables studied are about the factors that influence student interest in entrepreneurship, analysis techniques with factor analysis. The results show that, of the 20 factors that influence student interest in entrepreneurship, the most dominant are: The first factor consists of: Leadership, Friends support which is considered important, Friends support, Realistic thinking, Family support and high commitment, Second factor consists of : Have a confident attitude, Foresight, Support business partners, Creative Innovative, Cooperate with business partners and Have experience. The third factor consists of: being disciplined, encouraging parents and being interested in business opportunities. The fourth factor consists of: Courage to face risks. The fifth factor consists of: reliable expertise, perceived ease and careful planning. The sixth factor consists of: Independence. It is better for students during the lecture process to innovate to do a simple type of business as an entrepreneurship learning material. Parents support and motivate their children to become entrepreneurs, because parents have a very strong role in forming entrepreneurial interests. There needs to be an improvement for the campus in providing understanding and training to students so that their entrepreneurial interest is increasingly formed so that after completing their studies their entrepreneurial spirit will be awakened.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and determine the effect of leadership style and compensation on employee performance with job satisfaction as an intervening variable at PT Hilon Sumatra. Primary data was obtained through questionnaires and secondary data using documentation techniques. The total population of this study was 66 people and by means of a saturated sampling technique, the sample was also 66 people. The data analysis technique used multiple regression analysis, but first tested the validity and reliability as well as the classical assumption test, and then tested the hypothesis with the t, F and Sobel tests. The results of this study indicate that leadership style and compensation together have a significant effect on job satisfaction and leadership style, compensation and job satisfaction together have a significant effect on employee performance. Partially, leadership style and compensation have a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction and leadership style, compensation and job satisfaction partially have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Leadership style and compensation have a positive and significant effect on employee performance and job satisfaction is able to mediate the influence of style and compensation on employee performance at PT Hilon Sumatra.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The aim of this research is to analyze the influence of human resource development, work facilities and incentives on employee performance at PT Mutifa Medan. Data was obtained from respondents with a population of 40 employees and using a saturated sampling technique, the sample size was also 40 employees. The analysis technique used in this research is multiple linear regression with the validity, reliability and classical assumptions first tested and then the F test and t test carried out. The research results show that HR development, facilities and incentives simultaneously have a significant effect on employee performance, HR development, work facilities and incentives partially have a positive and significant effect on employee performance at PT. Mutifa Medan, and the R2 coefficient value is 0.840, this shows that variations in employee performance can be explained by variations in HR development, facilities and incentives of 84% while another 16% can be explained by other factors.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menjelaskan pengaruh komitmen, komunikasi dan lingkungan kerja terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan pada PT. Hilon Sumatera. Data diperoleh langsung dari responden (karyawan) pada PT. Hilon Sumatera. Jumlah populasi penelitian ini adalah 53 orang dan jumlah sampel melalui sampling jenuh atau sensus adalah 53 orang. Teknik analisa yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah uji validitas dan reliabilitas, regresi linier berganda, dan uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel komitmen, komunikasi dan lingkungan kerja secara bersama-sama (simultan) berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan di PT. Hilon Sumatera. Sedangkan secara parsial menunjukkan bahwa komitmen berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan di PT. Hilon Sumatera dengan nilai koefisien regresi 0,257 dan nilai signifikansi 0,015 < 0,05 (lebih kecil dari nilai toleransi kesalahan). Komunikasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan di PT. Hilon Sumatera dengan nilai koefisien regresi 0,407 dan nilai signifikansi 0,001< 0,05 (lebih kecil dari nilai toleransi kesalahan). Lingkungan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan di PT. Hilon Sumatera dengan nilai koefisien regresi 0,305 dan nilai signifikansi 0,020 < 0,05 (lebih kecil dari nilai toleransi kesalahan)

Abstract

The objective of this investigation is to eval_uate the impact of recruitment, work discipline, and non-physical work environment on the performance of employees at the Medan Sunggal Customer Service Unit of PT PLN (Persero). Quantitative analysis is the methodology employed in this investigation. The data was collected through a questionnaire distribution survey that was administered to 63 (sixty-three) personnel of the Medan Sunggal Customer Service Unit of PT PLN (Persero). The Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software is utilized to conduct multiple linear regression data analysis, while saturated sampling or census sampling techniques are employed for sampling. The data processing conducted yields a multiple linear equation, the results indicating that recruitment has a substantial impact on employee performance. The performance of employees is significantly influenced by their work discipline. The non-physical work environment has a substantial impact on employee performance. The extent of the influence of recruitment, work discipline, and non-physical work environment on employee performance is indicated by the coefficient of determination (R2) of 91.7%. The remaining 8.3% is influenced by factors that are not included in this study. The F test results that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. This implies that the recruitment variables, work discipline, and non-physical work environment have a positive and significant impact on employee performance at the Medan Sunggal Customer Service Unit of PT. PLN (Persero).
