Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the methods, media, and student responses in learning poetry in class X SMK PAB 10 Patumbak. This research was conducted using a descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques are observation, essay tests, and documentation. The research data is information about poetry learning in class X, with 30 students in the experimental class and 30 students in the control class; data sources are from researchers, students, and events in learning to write poetry. The data analysis technique uses a contextual approach that is perfect for learning to write poetry in class X SMK PAB 10 Patumbak. The results of this study found that the learning method used by researchers was a contextual approach using essay tests. This method can arouse students' enthusiasm and interest in participating in learning, and the media researchers use relates to the surrounding natural environment. The results of student scores with an average achievement in control class learning with a score of 65, while experimental class learning with a score of 80 indicate that students' writing skills in contextual learning are better. Student responses were grouped into two, namely, positive and negative responses. Students' positive responses were shown by the activity of writing poetry in the experimental class using a contextual approach, namely being active in asking and answering questions posed by researchers, and the negative responses of students in the control class were seen by the lack of enthusiasm of students towards the use of the lecture method by researchers and the placement of class schedules at the end meetings where the condition of students is tired and hungry.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the RADEC (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, and Create) learning model based on the TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) framework on improving students' cultural literacy. This study used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design model. The research subjects consisted of 65 students, 33 students each from SMP Negeri 23 Medan and 32 students from MTs Miftahussalam Medan. The experimental group was taught using the TPACK integrated RADEC model, while the control group used conventional lecture-based methods. Data was obtained through a cultural literacy test in the form of writing expository texts about local cultural values. Data analysis was carried out using SPSS 27 through normality tests, homogeneity tests, and independent sample t-tests. The results showed a significant increase in the cultural literacy ability of the experimental group compared to the control group. At SMP Negeri 23 Medan, the experimental group obtained an average posttest score of 87.12 compared to 61.36 in the control group. Meanwhile, at MTs Miftahussalam Medan, the average posttest of the experimental group reached 84.38 compared to 61.25 in the control group. These findings prove that the application of the TPACK-based RADEC model is effective in increasing student engagement and deepening their understanding of local culture through expository writing. The results of this study have practical implications for educators in designing technology-based learning that is contextual with local culture to strengthen the competencies of 21st century students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi keberagaman warisan budaya yang berbeda-beda yang tumbuh dan berkembang menjadi karya sastra yang tidak ternilai harganya. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan nilai budaya mana saja yang sudah ditinggalkan generasi muda dan mendeskripsikan antropologi sastra dalam Film Saranjana Kota Gaib Karya Johansyah Jumberan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian di peroleh dari aplikasi Telegram dengan alamat URL https://t.me/c/1458625670/700. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai budaya yang terkandung di dalam Film Sarnjana Kota Gaib, Karya Johansyah Jumberan memiliki beberapa jenis nilai kebudayaan antara seperti nilai material, Nilai Budaya Material yang terdapat di dalam film Saranjana Kota Gaib ada 15 macam, nilai vital, Nilai Budaya Vital yang terdapat di dalam film Saranjana Kota Gaib ada 5 percakapan dan nilai kerohanian (nilai kebenaran ada 33 percakapan, nilai estetika ada 12 percakapan, dan nilai relegius 6 percakapan). Sedangkan nilai-nilai budaya yang telah hilang pada generasi muda dalam Film Saranjana Kota Gaib, Karya Johansyah Jumberan diantaranya adalah cara berpakaian, cara berbicara dan kurang minatnya generasi muda terhadap budaya lokal. Film Saranjana Kota Gaib, Karya Johansyah Jumberan memiliki kaitan dengan kajian antropologi sastra mana di dalam Film Sranjana Kota Gaib mennguraikan tentang cerita daerah yang di dalamnya masih mengakat kisah mitologi.
