Abstract

This study aims to describe (1) expressive speech acts in Bu Tejo Tilik's memes on twitter; (2) expressive speech acts in Bu Tejo Tilik's meme on twitter as teaching materials for junior high school students. The method used is descriptive-qualitative pragmatic approach to link language with the use of language such as words, phrases, or sentences and the elements that are outside them. The aim is to describe the data in a pragmatic way from the reader's point of view. The data in the form of Bu Tejo Tilik's memes on twitter were analyzed using pragmatic studies. The results showed that (1) expressive speech acts in Bu Tejo Tilik's memes on twitter, namely happy / congratulatory speeches, gratitude, criticizing, complaining, blaming, insinuating. (2) Expressive speech acts in Bu Tejo Tilik's memes on twitter have benefits as teaching materials for students because they can increase reading interest, motivate students to think critically and be used as reading material for creatively written material, such as poster material, slogans, and texts. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa besar keefektifan bamboozle dalam pembelajaran memahami teks cerita rakyat Sumatera Utara di SMP. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan desain penelitian one-group pretest-posttest. Hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa memahami teks cerita rakyat Sumatera Utara dengan menggunakan bamboozle oleh siswa kelas VII-1 SMP Negeri 1 Delitua memperoleh nilai rata-rata 83,61 sedangkan jika memahami teks cerita rakyat Sumatera Utara tanpa menggunakan bamboozle oleh siswa kelas VII-3 SMP Negeri 1 Delitua memperoleh nilai rata-rata 73,12. Aplikasi bamboozle efektif dalam memahami teks cerita rakyat Sumatera Utara. Signifikan pada penelitian ini yaitu 0,001 < 0,05 yang berarti Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima artinya aplikasi bamboozle efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil pemahaman siswa terhadap teks cerita rakyat. Pada penelitian ini terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan dalam menggunakan bamboozle dengan tanpa menggunakan bamboozle terhadap kemampuan memahami teks cerita rakyat oleh siswa kelas VII-1 dan VII-3 SMP Negeri 1 Delitua, yakni bamboozle dinyatakan efektif dalam pembelajaran memahami teks cerita rakyat dan membuat siswa lebih semangat dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Pelajar Pancasila adalah perwujudan pelajar Indonesia sebagai pelajar sepanjang hayat yang memiliki kompetensi global dan berperilaku sesuai dengan nilai-nilai Pancasila. Jika generasi muda mempunyai karakter-karakter tersebut, tidak menutup kemungkinan dapat tercapainya keinginan bangsa Indonesia menjadi negara maju. Akan tetapi pada kenyataannya, generasi muda saat ini belum sepenuhnya mampu memenuhi komponen dari karakter ideal yang dibutuhkan dalam menopang kemajuan dan keberhasilan suatu bangsa di masa mendatang. Generasi muda kita dipresentasikan sebagai buah strawberry yang indah namun mudah rapuh dan hancur apabila dipijak. Penguatan pendidikan karakter di era sekarang merupakan hal yang penting untuk dilakukan mengingat banyaknya peristiwa yang menunjukkan terjadinya krisis moral baik di kalangan anak-anak dan remaja. Hal ini dapat ditanggulangi yaitu dengan cara generasi strawberry perlu memperbaharui literasi meraka dan peran pendidik untuk menciptakan situasi yang menyenangkan dalam pelajaran. Jenis metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi kepustakaan. Penelitian ini dilakukan sekolah di MTs Miftahussalam Medan. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini terdiri atas tahapan pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, serta simpulan/verifikasi. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penanaman karakter profil Pancasila melalui literasi ceria merupakan salah satu solusi yang efektif dalam menguatkan dan membentuk karakter siswa dalam menghadapi era globalisasi dan jauh dari generasi strawberry. Hal ini terbukti berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan bahwa ada 5 profil karakter Pancasila yang terwujud di sekolah ini yaitu 1) beriman, bertaqwa kepada Tuhan dan berakhlak mulia; 2) mandiri; 3) kreatif; 4) bergotong royong; 5) berkebinekaan global. Kata kunci: karakter profil Pancasila, literasi ceria ABSTRACT Pancasila students are the embodiment of Indonesian students as lifelong students who have global competence and behave in accordance with Pancasila values. If the younger generation has these characteristics, it does not rule out the possibility of achieving the desire of the Indonesian nation to become a developed country. But in reality, the current young generation is not fully able to fulfill the components of the ideal character needed in sustaining the progress and success of a nation in the future. Our younger generation is presented as a strawberry fruit that is beautiful but easily brittle and crumbles when stepped on. Strengthening character education in the current era is an important thing to do considering the many events that show the occurrence of moral crisis among both children and adolescents. This can be overcome by the way the strawberry generation needs to update their literacy and the role of educators to create pleasant situations in lessons. The type of method used in this study is descriptive qualitative. The data collection method is carried out through observation, interviews, and literature studies. This research was conducted by a school at MTs Miftahussalam Medan. Data analysis in this study consists of the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion/verification. This research shows that Pancasila profile character growers through cheerful literacy are one of the effective solutions in strengthening and shaping student character in facing the era of globalization and away from the strawberry generation. This is proven based on the results of research conducted that there are 5 Pancasila character profiles that are manifested in this school, namely 1) faith, devotion to God and noble character; 2) independent; 3) creative; 4) mutual cooperation; 5) Global diversity. Abstract

The aim of this research is to develop a contextually based student worksheet product on procedure text material. The research method used in this research isResearch and Development (RD) using a development modelADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development or Production, Implementation or Delivery dan Evaluations). This research was conducted in 4 SMP/MTs schools to obtain 12 Indonesian language teachers' responses to the products that had been developed. Classification of 3 teachers from SMP Al Washliyah 8 Medan as primary data and 9 Indonesian language teachers as supporting/secondary data. The stages in this development are needs analysis, product design, product development, validation of material and media experts, and assessment of the feasibility of student worksheets. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. This research uses quantitative descriptive data analysis techniques which are then converted to qualitative data using a Likert scale. Based on the validation results from material experts, this student's worksheet received a score of 91.1 and after being averaged it became 4.5 in the very good category. Meanwhile, as a result of media expert validation, this student's worksheet received a score of 91.4 and after being averaged it became 4.5 in the very good category. The assessment results from Indonesian language teachers obtained a score of 84.8 with an average score of 4.2 in the very good category. Thus, contextually based student worksheets on procedure text material for class VII middle school students are declared suitable for use as teaching materials.

Abstract

The focus of the problem in this study is the analysis of language errors at the morphological level in the June 17, 2023 edition of the Tribun Medan newspaper. The purpose of this study is to describe the analysis of language errors in the field of morphology in the Tribun Medan newspaper. This research method is qualitative research using a descriptive type. The data collection technique used is to read repeatedly the Tribun Medan newspaper, code any errors in the field of morphology, and record language errors in the field of morphology. This research method is qualitative research using a descriptive type. Based on the results of the analysis carried out, it can be concluded that there are errors at the morphological level consisting of 10 data which include: errors in the use of words in the abbreviation of morph me-, word formation with confixes di -...-kan, word writing/placement of wrong letter writing.

Abstract

Education in Indonesia is undergoing transformation through the implementation of the Independent Learning Curriculum which aims to provide flexibility in learning, improve 21st century competencies, and integrate local values. This research aims to understand the management of the Independent Learning Curriculum at Al-Azhar Superior High School Medan, including planning, implementation, and evaluation strategies. The research uses a qualitative approach with the type of case study, involving school principals, teachers, students, and education staff as research subjects. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, documentation studies, and qualitative analysis of the Miles and Huberman model. The results of the study show that Al-Azhar Medan High School uses a student needs-based approach with a focus on developing individual talents, interests, and abilities through technology-based learning methods and special religious programs. The implementation of the curriculum includes project-based learning to improve students' critical thinking skills, with the support of modern infrastructure. Curriculum evaluation is carried out collaboratively, involving teachers as direct evaluators and students as feedback givers through reflections and evaluation-based projects. This study concludes that the management of the Independent Learning Curriculum at Al-Azhar Medan High School has created an innovative learning environment, relevant to the demands of the 21st century, and centered on the development of students' potential holistically.

Abstract

Agriculture is a culture that is very close and attached to Indonesian society. Along with the times, the current cultural situation tends to be unknown to the younger generation. Ethnomathematics exists to bridge between culture and education. This community service aims to describe the ethnomathematical study of tree planting within the scope of reforestation and tree seedlings. This service uses training methods combined with literature studies that use the study of knowledge, ideas and findings contained in the literature so as to provide theoretical and scientific information related to implementation in learning which will later be collaborated with literacy and numeracy-based learning that can make a real contribution to social, economic growth and well-being for individuals and society. By having the skills to be able to apply the understanding of literacy and numeracy in the context of economics, engineering, science, social, and other fields, employment competitiveness and economic welfare will increase.

Abstract

This research is based on the relationship between humans and the environment, the impact of pollution, and human awareness of the environment. The purpose of this research is to describe the representation of the marine environment in the novel Laut Pasang 1994 by Lillpudu, and to describe the concept of ecocriticism according to Grag Garrard. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The data sources in this research are sentences or stories that discuss the representation of the marine environment and the concept of literary ecocriticism in the novel Laut Pasang 1994 Karya Lillpudu. The way ecocritical studies work is to understand the science of the environment, therefore the results of this study show that there are representations of the marine environment and the concept of literary ecocriticism. Based on the concepts according to Grag Garrard regarding pollution, there is 1 data explaining the scattered garbage, there are 7 data where the data are houses, fields, and hospitals, 8 data disasters where the data explain the disasters of earthquakes, strong winds, and tsunamis, 0 data wilderness, 1 data animal explaining the existence of chickens, and the earth there are 3 data describing the earth there are stars, the sky, and the sun. The practical implications of this research on ecocritical concepts in the novel Laut Pasang 1994 by Lillpudu, have an important role in building character to care about the environment and awareness of the environment and instill good traits for the environment and family

Abstract

Indonesian language learning on fantasy story material at SMP Al-Washliyah 8 Medan still uses conventional lecture methods that are less interesting for students. This study aims to test the effect of the team quiz method on students' ability to determine the intrinsic elements of fantasy stories. This study is a quantitative experiment with a nonequivalent control group pretest-post test design. The sample consisted of 60 students divided into experimental and control classes. Data was collected through tests, observations, and documentation. The results showed that after the application of the team quiz method, the average posttest score of the experimental class increased to 81.5 compared to the control class which only reached 75.8. The t-test analysis showed that tcount> ttable (2.660> 1.701), so it can be concluded that the team quiz method has a significant effect on improving students' ability to determine the intrinsic elements of fantasy stories.
