Abstract

Indonesia is a country with high-risk potential for various types of disasters because Indonesia is located between three large tectonic plates of the earth, namely the Eurasian Plate, the Indo-Australian Plate and the Pacific Plate.  West Aceh  Regency  is  one  of  the  districts  included  in  the  level  of  high  hazard classification for tectonic earthquakes that can cause Tsunamis.  The stage of empowerment community includes conducting the survey, the coordinating with principal of MTSS Nurul Huda, socialication of tsunami disaster and the simulation of tsunami disaster alert. In conducting the community empowerment, the students are enthusiasms to follow the socialization and the simulation of tsunami disaster aler.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat dan menganalisis peningkatan membaca puisi melalui penerapan strategi modelling the way pada siswa kelas X SMK Swasta Jambi Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian eksperimen. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah siswa-siswi  kelas X SMK Swasta Jambi Medan. Jumlah populasi adalah 258 siswa dan dipilih 72 siswa sebagai  sampel penelitian. Sampel dibagi menjadi dua kelompok yaitu  kelompok kontrol pada kelas X TKJ 1 sebanyak 36 siswa dan kelompok eksperimen kelas X TKJ2 sebanyak 36 siswa . Kelompok eksperimen diberikan perlakuan dengan metode modelling the way  sedangkan kelompok kontrol  diberikan perlakuan dengan metode konvensional. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan empat penilaian dalam pembelajaran membaca puisi yang dihitung dan diolah dengan menggunakan uji t-tes. Hasil analisis data menggunakan uji independent sampel t-tes pada SPSS 26 menunjukkan nilai t hitung (4.272) lebih tinggi dari pada t tabel (2.808) pada level signifikan 0.05 dan degree of freedom (df) 70. Oleh karena itu hasil hipotesis null (Ho) ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif (ha) diterima. Hal ini menandakan bahwa metode modelling the way secara signifikan meningkat dalam pembelajaran membaca puisi pada kelas X SMK swasta Jambi medan.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan  kualitas pembelajaran berbicara dan kualitas hasil keaktifan siswa dalam berbicara di SMK. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan siswa di Sekolah menengah kejuruan di medan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X AKL 2 yang berjumlah 25 orang  dengan rincian  4 laki-laki dan 24 perempuan. Adapun yang menjadi objek penelitian adalah pembelajaran berbicara khususnya berdiskusi. Proses penelitian dilakukan dalam dua siklus yang meliputi  empat kegiatan, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, serta analisis dan refleksi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan terdapat peningkatan kualitas baik proses maupun hasil berbicara pembelajaran berbicara pada siswa. Peningkatan kualitas proses pembelajaran tersebut ditandai dengan meningkatnya jumlah siswa yang mencapai batas ketuntasan. Langkah-langkah efektif yang dilakukan oleh peneliti untuk mengoptimalkan pembelajaran berbasis masalah ini, antara lain :  (1) guru mengarahkankan siswa untuk menyadari adanya masalah di lingkungan sekitar secara berkelompok, (2) guru meminta siswa untuk mencari data atau informasi (mengorganisir siswa), (3) guru meminta siswa untuk merumuskan hipotesis dari data atau informasi yang telah diperoleh (masalah aktual), (4) guru mengelompokkan siswa didasarkan pada kemampuan berbicara, untuk melakukan diskusi tiap kelompok terdiri dari empat orang, (5) guru meminta siswa untuk mempresentasikan hasil diskusi mereka, dan (6) guru dan siswa menganalisis dan mengevaluasi proses pemecahan.Kata kunci : peningkatan, strategi moddelin the way,                      keterampilan berbicara Abstract. This This research aims to find out 1) the quality of speaking learning process including students’ activiness, bravery, and cooperation; 2) the quality of learning. Achievement including students’ oral proficiency with ordered, good, and correct language thorught the problem based learning in the tenth grade vocational high school. This study belongs to a classroom action research (CAR). The subject of research was the tenth grade vocational high school. The object of research was the speaking learning, particularly discussion belonging to the Indonesian language subject. The research process was done in two cycles involving four activities: planning, acting, observing, as well as analyzing and reflecting. Based on the result of research, it can be concluded that there is an increase in the quality of speaking learning process and result. The increase of learning process quality is characterized by the increased number of students who active, bravely in articulating their argument, and capable of cooperating in their discussion group. The increase of learning result quality is characterized with the increased number of students reaching the graduation limit. The effective measures the writer had taken to optimize the strategy moddelling the way include: 1) teacher leads the students to be aware of the problems in the surrounding environment in group; 2) teacher asks the students to search for data or information (organizes the students); 3) teacher asks the students to formulate the hypothesis from the data or information obtained (actual problem); 4) teacher divides the students into several groups, each of which consists of four students, according to their speaking capability to have a discussion; 5) teacher asks the students to present their result of discussion and 6) teacher and the students analyze and evaluate the problem solving process.Keywords : enhancement, thorugh through strategi                     modelling the way, improved speaking skills

Abstract

Earthquake and tsunami disaster were caused the devastated the properties and victims. One of the area that vurnerable toward tsunami impact is West Aceh. One of the main factor that caused the many victims are decrease the knowledge of society regarding earthquake and tsunami disaster as well as the alert to face the disaster. Therefore, it is necessary to prepare the knowledge and skill regarding the alert of earthquake and tsunami disaster. It is become the author’s initiave for undertaking the socialization of tsunami alert based on sharia islam to Santri MTSS Nurul Huda West Aceh Regency. The empowering community method namely to give the understanding and skill with sharia islam approach to santri of MTSS Nurul Huda West Aceh. The result of empowering community program that already reached includes the coordination with partner, conducting of the planning before activity of empowering community, conducting the socialization of tsunami alert based on sharia islam. The successfully indicator of these activities through pre test and post test showed enhaching of understanding and skill of Partner in alert of tsunami disaster. Therefore, it is necessary to build the regeneration of santri as the agent of management disaster in Aceh area.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh metode pembelajaran Role Playing terhadap kemampuan menulis naskah drama dari sebuah cerpen oleh siswa kelas VIII MTs EX-PGA Proyek UNIVA Medan Tahun Pembelajaran 2019-2020. Sampel adalah kelas VIII yang berjumlah 32 orang yaitu kelas eksperimen. Teknik menentukan sampel yaitu cluster sampling. Model yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model eksperimen yaitu model one group pre test and post test design. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk menjaring data penugasan yakni menulis naskah drama dari sebuah cerpen. Dari hasil pengolahan data diperoleh rata-rata eksperimen pre test group adalah 68,5 sedangkan rata-rata post test group adalah 80,25. Dengan demikian nilai post test lebih tinggi daripada nilai pre test Setelah dilakukan pengujian hipotesis diperoleh thitung = 6,283 pada taraf signifikan α = 5% dari daftar distribusi t dk = n-1 = 32-1=31, maka diperoleh ttabel = 1,696. Jika Harga thitung dibandingkan dengan harga ttabel ternyata thitung>ttabel (6,283 >1,696), dapat dinyatakan hipotesis nihil (Ho) ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif (Hα) diterima. Berdasarkan analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan metode pembelajaran Role Playing dalam menulis naskah drama dari sebuah cerpen sangat berpengaruh.

Abstract

This study examines the problem-based learning model on the ability to write procedural texts in class XI students of SMA Al-Maksum Cinta Rakyat. The method used is an experimental method with a research design that is one group pretest-post test design. The population in this study were all students at totaling 128 students consisting of 67 male students and 61 female students. The sampling technique in this study is the random sampling technique, namely the technique of taking random samples with equal opportunities for all members of the population, so the sample in this study was class XI students at SMA Al-Maksum Cinta Rakyat. The average score of students who use the problem based learning (PBL) learning model is higher than the average value of students who use the lecture method, which is 81.2 compared to 67.26. Based on the results of the t-test calculation, it is obtained that tcount > t table or 33.54 > 1.692 then Ho is rejected. Thus it can be concluded that in using the PBL learning model there is an influence in the applied learning.

Abstract

This research was conducted to find out how the influence of the think talk write learning model on students' ability to write editorial texts properly and correctly. This research was located at the PAB 1 Helvetia Vocational School, Jl. Veterans Psr. IV Pulo Brayan Medan. The method in this research uses the one-group pretest-posttest experimental model and random sampling technique with a total population of 126 students. The data collection tool used was a written test in the form of an essay. The ability to write editorial texts using the think talk write learning model obtained perfect scores for 6 students with a percentage of 17.6%. The excellent category is 23 students, with a percentage of 67.6%. Enough category as many as 5 students with a percentage of 14.7%. However, for the fewer and significantly fewer categories, none were found. This means that the ability to write editorial texts is at a good level due to the influence of the think-talk write learning model. Thus the hypothesis is accepted, namely that there is an influence of the think talk write learning model on the ability to write editorial texts in XII students of SMK PAB 1 Helvetia in the 2022-2023 academic year.

Abstract

Caricature is a unique humor means of satire and criticism. This study aims to develop digital caricature media to learn anecdotal texts expressing social criticism through smiles. This study aims to describe the results of the needs analysis of students and classroom teachers. The research method uses the development steps of Alessi and Trollip. Learning media for writing anecdotal texts was developed based on the results of the analysis of the needs of students and teachers. The expert validation assessment consists of several aspects. These parts of material content, linguistic elements, and media aspects are carried out by two validations, namely material experts and media experts. The validity test of the material expert got a score of 33 with a percentage value of 92.5%, categorized as very feasible. The validity test of the media expert got a score of 45 with a percentage value of 93.75%, categorized as very feasible. The validity test of the linguist got a score of 13 with a percentage value of 81,25% classified as very feasible. Based on the results of expert validation, digital caricature media in revealing meaning through a developed smile can be very feasible for students in writing anecdotal texts.

Abstract

The educational game Frog is implemented with a hybrid learning model to improve the speech skills of pre-schoolers. This type of research uses Research and Development (R&D) with a Four-D (4D) development model. The research development adopts the 4D model of the figures of Thiagarajan, et al, namely: define, design, develop, and disseminate. The research subject focuses on preschool children group B (aged 5-6 years) as the object of research. The data collection technique used expert validation questionnaires, observations, and tests to measure learning outcomes against the media. The usefulness of research answers learning to improve children's speech so they grow into active and confident children. This hybrid learning-based frog educational game is designed to simulate existing problems so that essence or knowledge can be obtained that can be used to solve these problems. The results from media experts get a percentage of 78%, including the valid category and material experts get 89% in the beneficial type. Students' and teachers' responses to the frog educational media based on hybrid learning on speaking skills are fascinating. This can be seen from the small group trial, with a percentage of 84% and the field group, with a rate of 82%. The effectiveness of the hybrid learning-based frog educational game learning media on speaking skills in speaking skills with IK (an indicator of success) is 87.5%.

Abstract

One of the writing activities contained in learning Indonesian at SMK 2013 curriculum is writing procedure text. The selection of the problem based learning model in this study was based on the idea that the problem based learning model could stimulate students' enthusiasm to be actively involved in their learning experience. The problem-based learning model requires students to think, understand and find the steps that must be taken correctly in writing procedure texts. The results of the research that have been explained that between X1 and X2 obtained from the work of students writing procedural texts from class XI-1, totaling 35 students, obtained a satisfactory assessment or there was an influence that occurred in the learning process. In the learning process at the first meeting, students still used the lecture method with a total score of 2,354 while using the problem based learning model, the students got an overall score of 2,842, in this case there were differences in the process or results in learning to write students' explanatory texts. After getting the overall results, as explained in the description of the research results and hypothesis testing using the steps or formulas used and obtaining the overall value, n = 35 and = 0.05, then the t = 1.692 value is obtained. Because tcount > t table or 33.54 > 1.692 then Ho is rejected. These results provide an explanation that in using the problem based learning learning model there is an influence in the applied learning.
