Abstract

Temperature is a part of the natural condition that  related to human activities. Many human activity is affected by temperature fluctuation factors. For example, in this case is a temperature monitoring at these broiler farms and database monitoring center computer. Room temperature for  places are two examples of the human activities that the temperature factor is concerned. Until now, time temperature monitoring activity is done manually, thus it is need a monitoring tool that can be viewed from  the computer interface.To save time and cost, application for temperature monitoring equipment is made so that the results can be seen from a distance. The applications are user friendly, so users can easily find out the temperature value.Application for temperature monitoring equipment is useful to support the activities of monitoring the temperature. From the experimental results, the application for temperature monitoring equipment that uses radio frequency results can be viewed from a computer interface, so as to streamline the performance of temperature monitoring.

Abstract

Digital image was needed us a medium of information that can be transmitted by cable or wireless media. To obtain digital images must use a tool such as a camera. Users can use the camera to get a digital image with the remote sensing method on an object in a particular place. In the daily activities, users can take advantages of the digital image (pictures or video) that are useful for media documentation, monitoring system in somewhere and others. The design of this tool using LS_Y201camera to capture a digital image and wireless as a data transmission media. In this case a wireless media use Ultra High Frequency transmitter and receiver that support for remote sensing. Users run the tool through an application that is connected with a wireless media. This application is designed byDelphi7. Applications and wireless camera was made for simulation media of remote sensing and monitoring system in the blank spot area. The test result of applications and tools that use the Ultra High Frequency (wireless), can be viewed from a computer interface. In this case, the signal strength ofthe transmitter greatly affect the maximum distance that can be taken to make capture process. The test results are as follows: the best results at a distance of 10 meters = 011110102 (12210); distance of 20 meters = 011100112 (11510); distance of 30 meters = 011110102 (12210); distance of 40 meters =011011112 (11110); distance of 50 meters = 011100102 (11410). So the best distance to digital images transmission through a wireless networks are at a distance of 40 meters.

Abstract

Digital image processing of a system capable of generating digital image data and software as a medium to display the digital image data that uses radio waves to send data in HEX and convert in the form of images. Linksprite camera which enable to produce the digital image data and utilize the arduino UNO as a controller to send commands to the camera image capture and send the digital image data to the PC. The process of digital image based data transmission by radio waves utilizing the XBee Pro Series 1 . Results of testing the system implemented in the outdoor can take a longer distance when compared with the application of the system in the room . At a distance of 10-250 meters complete the full HEX data transmission and produces good images , with time ranging 2m.29s.39ms-2m.36s.56ms. Distance of 260-450 meters with a time of 2m.05s.02ms - 06ms 2m 01s but the picture quality is not good. At a distance of 500-530 meters with a time of 1m.10s.23ms-0m.50s.59ms produce images that are very less. While the distance of > 550 meters is the limit HEX data transmission capability to the receiver. The ability of the system mileage in the process of data transfer shorter if applied indoors. Distance of 1-60 meters with a time of 2m.29s.39ms - 60ms.2m.34s produce good quality images. At a distance of 80 meters with a time of 1m.25s.59ms produce poor images, and with a distance of 90 meters with a time 0m.35s.49ms produce images that are very less . While the distance of > 100 system not able to perform HEX data transmission

Abstract

The geographical position of Indonesia is located in an earthquake-prone area that is potentially most earthquake-tsunami, it takes a transmission medium to connect the cameramonitoring results between the sender and receiver of information or data that may provide information to the natural disasters. The transmission media can be a media streaming seawater and alarm monitoring that is connected with vibration sensor that functions as a medium for early warning of natural disasters. From the test results it can be concluded that the alarm system warning of earthquakes, able to work well as vibration sensor detects vibration. As well as video streaming process can run well on a LAN network using HTTP protocol 8080. Society as a client can access the video streaming server via the address specified by the application server.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Multipliers are one of the most important parts of a device that can affect the performance of digital devices. High speed and efficient multiplier systems are important factors for designers of microprocessor devices, microcontrollers and the like. Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) have emerged as the preferred platform for efficient and flexible hardware implementation. This research provides an analysis of the multiplier algorithm for LPF (Low Pass Filter) digital filter implementation output using the hamming window method with FPGA chip design on Xillinx 10.1 software. This method is used to design multiplier FPGA chips to support the LPF digital filter applied to radio direction finders (RDF) so that it is expected that this digital filter performance will be even better. Based on this research, the results of the observation show that filter responses are in accordance with the design specifications but there are errors between the results of the theory and the simulation and implementation of the tool. The biggest error is 52.32% at the 4th coefficient (0.01748) and the smallest error is 0.72% at the 1st coefficient (0.31478). Abstract

In the Aerodynamics laboratory at the Adisutjipto College of Technology, the wind tunnel mass measuring instrument only uses an ordinary digital scale. So to facilitate reading in the wind tunnel, a tools is built using a load cell sensor and with digital readings that have been converted from mass to force. This data reading system is connected to an LCD as a display in monitoring the resulting speed changes. By using the data collection method, and also after performing tool calibration and testing with ordinary digital scales, results were found by using the NACA 4412 airfoil test object and by testing where there were different angle of attack. From the results, it can be concluded that measurements made at different angle of attack have different values ​​even with the same wind speed. This happens because there are several factors, and the error factor that the wind tunnel has in the Aerodynamics Laboratory of the Adisutjipto College of Technology reaches an average of 3.6%.

Abstract

Masalah akibat kepadatan penduduk adalah meningkatnya sampah yang mencakup keseluruhan wilayah, baik perkotaan maupun pedesaan. Sampah di wilayah pedesaan didominasi oleh sampah organik pasar dan limbah peternakan. Tidak berjalannya sistem pengolahan dan pendistribusian sampah yang baik, menyebabkan penumpukan sampah seperti pada wilayah Dusun Gedangklutuk, Desa Kedungboto, Kabupaten Pasuruan. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memanfaatkan sampah organik dan limbah peternakan sebagai Energi Baru Terbarukan (EBT) ramah lingkungan dengan metode biodigester. Biodigester mampu mengubah sampah organik pasar menjadi biogas yang memiliki kandungan CH4 sekitar 50-75%, CO2 sekitar 25-50%, dan sisanya adalah gas lain yang persentasenya sangat kecil. Gas berasal dari penguraian bahan organik oleh bakteri anaerob dengan suhu optimum sekitar 30-35°C dan pH sekitar 6-8. Biodigester menghasilkan 847,8 liter gas yang tertampung.

Abstract

Perguruan tinggi memiliki tugas yang tertuang dalam Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi. Aspek pendidikan, penelitian dan pengabdian kepada masyarakat merupakan aspek-aspek yang termaktub dalam Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi. Hasil kegiatan penelitian dan pengabdian masyarakat harus didukung oleh Digital Object Identifier yang aktif dan terpublikasi. Pengelolaan Digital Object Identifier belum dijalankan secara maksimal di Politeknik Perkapalan Negeri Surabaya. Hal ini mendorong inisiasi suatu kegiatan guna menunjang aspek tersebut. Pelatihan pengelolaan Digital Object Identifier menjadi salah satu solusi yang ditawarkan guna meningkatkan pemahaman dan pengetahuan mengenai pengelolaan Digital Object Identifier. Pelatihan diikuti oleh pengelola jurnal dibawah naungan Politeknik Perkapalan Negeri Surabaya. Luaran dari kegiatan ini menunjukan bahwa editor jurnal dibawah naungan Politeknik Perkapalan Negeri Surabaya berhasil dalam mempublikasikan Digital Object Identifier. Hal tersebut dapat meningkatkan dan mengoptimalkan kinerja artikel ilmiah yang mendukung proses akreditasi jurnal di Indonesia.

Abstract

PT. IMS adalah perusahaan galangan kapal yang berlokasi di Gresik, Jawa Timur yang melaksanakan jasa docking dan perbaikan kapal, maka potensi bahaya yang ditimbulkan oleh kondisi lingkungan kerja sangat potensial dalam menyebabkan penyakit akibat kerja (PAK). Namun minimnya pemahaman perusahaan terkait hygiene menyebabkan pemantauan kondisi lingkungan kerja meliputi kebisingan, iklim kerja, ventilasi, dan pencahayaan hampir tidak dilakukan oleh perusahaan, sehingga dipandang perlu untuk mengadakan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ke galangan kapal PT. IMS melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan teknis pemantauan kondisi lingkungan kerja. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah membekali personil Departemen HSE dengan kemampuan teknis dalam melakukan pemantauan kondisi lingkungan kerja, memberikan gambaran kondisi kualitas lingkungan kerja, dan merekomendasikan perbaikan kondisi lingkungan kerja. Metodologi yang dilaksanakan adalah melakukan sosialisasi kepada manajemen dalam bentuk presentasi ke direksi, pelatihan dan pendampingan teknis pemantauan kondisi lingkungan kerja, dan desk review penyusunan rekomendasi perbaikan kondisi lingkungan kerja. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarkat ini adalah terjadinya peningkatan kapasitas, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan staf Departemen HSE, diperolehnya data kondisi lingkungan kerja di Bengkel Outfitting yang menunjukkan kondisi sesuai NAB untuk parameter iklim kerja dan melebihi NAB untuk parameter kebisingan dan ventilasi, dan rekomendasi perbaikan kondisi lingkungan kerja meliputi kewajiban penggunaan ear muff bagi para pekerja dan penambahan ventilasi mekanis.

Abstract

Plastic is a human need in everyday life, one of which is as a place to wrap food and drinks. The increasing level of public consumption, the more plastic waste produced. Waste from plastic is very difficult to decompose naturally. In order to overcome this, of course, we need a way to process the plastic waste into more useful things and also have benefits for the community, one way is to recycle plastic waste into fuel, which is fuel in the form of oil. But in making a new innovation, a tool is needed that can transform a waste into something that is beneficial to society in general. One of them is by distillation or distillation. A tool used to separate chemicals based on differences in speed or ease of evaporation or volatility of materials. In this distillation, the mixture of the ingredients boils so that it evaporates and the steam is then boiled back into liquid form. Substances that have a lower boiling point will evaporate first. Later this steam will turn into oil using the help of a condenser. Where the steam entering the condenser will condense and form water grains. Which will later turn into oil. The oil produced through this distillation process with PET and PP plastic as much as 500 ml for 5 kg of plastic.
