Abstract

This research is focused on the desire of companies to change their yogurt packaging from thin plastic pouches to stronger ones. The purpose of packaging redesign is not only to overcome the problem of packaging durability but also to make new packaging more attractive to consumers so that the selling value is higher. Thus, packaging that is technically feasible and represents the customer's preferences for the company's products is needed. In addition, companies must also consider the long-term environmental impact. Redesigning the packaging using the eco-design concept and the Kansei Engineering Method. Eco-design is used to determine the environmental impact of packaging, while Kansei Engineering is used as a product design tool. The eco-design assessment of the suggested packaging shows that the packaging is more environmentally friendly than the current packaging. Kansei Engineering's findings include cylinder-shaped yogurt packaging made from aseptic cardboard and full color with a packaging design that is fresh, cheap, beautiful, strong, environmentally friendly, ergonomic, complete with product information, a halal logo, and unique

Abstract

A proper quality management system is essential for managing company activities to meet customer requirements. Management of quality necessitates an organizational structure, roles, processes, and resources. In this situation, the analyzed small and medium enterprises (SMEs) have limited human resources and non-standard procedures; So, in order to improve their quality management system, companies need both internal and external support. The objective of this design is to create and document ISO 9001:2015 quality management standards in order to improve consumer satisfaction. This research employs gap analysis and risk analysis as its methods. The results obtained from the gap analysis calculation in clause 5 receive the highest score of 71%, while the other clauses receive less than 50%, stating that a quality management system based on ISO 9001:2015 has not been implemented. Proposals in the design of a quality management system in the form of creating documents based on discrepancies and voids that have been identified.

Abstract

PT. X is a well-known pastry company due to its consistent flavors and high product quality. PT. X saw a decrease in sales while competing businesses saw an increase. Based on the results of the preliminary questionnaire from 33 customers, it is known that customer satisfaction is a factor influencing the decline in sales experienced by PT X. The aim of this research is to identify the factors that influence customer satisfaction and the gap between consumers and management at PT. X and provide recommendations for improving PT. X's service quality to compete with similar companies. This study used an importance-performance analysis, a customer satisfaction index, and a gap analysis to enhance service quality. The findings showed that the customer satisfaction index had a value of 66.78% and that the Cartesian diagram of importance-performance analysis contained seven attributes in quadrant 1, indicating that these attributes require development. The gap analysis results indicate that all attributes have a negative gap value. To increase customer satisfaction, service quality must be improved based on the overall results of data processing. Making SOPs for employees, offering appealing promotions to customers, and rewarding and punishing employees for their efforts are among the recommendations made.

Abstract

The canteen has a crucial role in delivering halal, safe, and healthy food as well as environmental protection. However, many processed food microentrepreneurs lack halal certification for their products and do not effectively manage waste. Registration for halal certification has been challenging due to a lack of education, information, and dedication. Tertiary institutions should provide training on product halal assurance systems, technical registration of halal certification through a self-declaring scheme, and 3R-based waste management (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) as a form of community service so that they can become eco-friendly halal canteens. This is consistent with the concept of rahmatan lil alamin. Questionnaire distribution is used to test the measurement of training results. Following the training, it was discovered that participants' knowledge of halal products, how to acquire halal certification, and waste management had improved. Canteen microentrepreneurs demonstrate their willingness to apply for halal certification and execute 3R-based waste management.

Abstract

PT. Fajar Surya Wisesa is a leading paper producer in Indonesia that produces paper in the form of Corrugated Medium Paper (CMP), Duplex, and Kraft Liner Board (KLB). In this company there are many lathes to produce products with a high level of precision to meet the specifications requested. However, when the study was conducted, it was found that the defective product resulted from the lathe process with a fairly large percentage of 27.7%. The purpose of this study is to find the root cause of the product defect and make efforts to repair it because the defect will result in an increase in the repair process in the machining department, an increase in the raw material used for the production process, and costs. By using the PDCA method, Pareto diagrams, and fishbone diagrams, the results obtained are machines that are poorly maintained, measuring instruments that are not precise, lathes that are not durable, lack of operator training and many more. With the improvement of tools and machines, little by little the problem of product defects can be reduced and succeeded in reducing defects up to 11.70%. PT.

Abstract

Unisba's waste problem was solved by establishing a compost hut to sort organic, recyclable, and residual waste, which the Clean and Green Team managed. Organic waste is composted; recyclable waste is separated, cleaned, and sold to Bandung City's main waste bank; and residual waste is transported by the Cleaning Technical Unit (UPTD) Bandung City. Unisba has launched a long-term initiative to become a zero-waste campus by managing waste independently. As part of this program, the Shokyakuro -FTU Incinerator machine will process residual waste on Campus 2 Unisba Ciburial and replace the processing of residual waste by UPTD. This service activity aims to use the Shokyakuro -FTU Incinerator machine to process residual waste at Campus 2 Unisba in Ciburial District, Bandung Regency. All cleaning staff practice in Campus 2 Unisba Ciburial operating the Shokyakuro -FTU Incinerator machine as part of the implementation process. Following training, machine operating procedures are developed to make it easier for cleaning staff to use the machine in the future.
