Abstract

This PKM/Service program aims to improve the packaging and promotion of "Debog Banana Duwet Polinema Crispy Chips" in Duwet Village, Tumpang District, Malang Regency. The residents of Duwet Village face challenges in effectively packaging and promoting their product, which currently lacks adequate branding and labels. To address these issues, this community service initiative aims to provide guidance and support in improving the packaging of the chips, as well as enhancing their promotional activities. Simple packaging equipment will also be provided to streamline the packaging process. The program's implementation will begin with partner coordination and conclude with a comprehensive evaluation. The outcomes of the training and mentoring activities reveal several key findings: Partners have limited knowledge about product quality improvement, affecting the product's market recognition. Current packaging methods used by partners are basic, consisting of plastic clips without product labels, limiting their market reach to the local community. "Kribog's DuPo Crispy" products, created by partners, lack attractive branding and labels. To ensure the sustainability of "Kribog's DuPo Crispy" products produced by our partners, the following recommendations are made: Conduct training sessions focused on enhancing product quality, fostering creativity, and innovation among "Kribog's DuPo Crispy" producers. Provide support in marketing strategies to address partners' limited knowledge in this area. Offer assistance in obtaining government-issued certifications, such as P-IRT licenses and food safety certifications, to ensure product quality and safety standards for "Kribog's DuPo Crispy."

Abstract

Dalam era digital yang terus berkembang, bisnis dituntut untuk mengoptimalkan teknologi guna meningkatkan efisiensi operasional. WhatsApp Business menjadi media digital yang banyak digunakan untuk berkomunikasi dengan pelanggan, mengenalkan usaha, membuat katalog produk, memanfaatkan fasilitas balas cepat dan pesan otomatis, serta menjaga keamanan data dan analisis. Pernik Dessy, sebuah usaha sprei kustom di Malang dengan lebih dari sepuluh reseller, masih menggunakan WhatsApp pribadi, sehingga kesulitan dalam pengarsipan dan pemasaran. Pendampingan pemanfaatan WhatsApp Business untuk pengarsipan dan pemasaran digital dilakukan melalui analisis kebutuhan, pelatihan, implementasi fitur utama, dan evaluasi hasil. Analisis kebutuhan memahami kendala spesifik, pelatihan memastikan pemahaman fitur, dan implementasi melibatkan pemasangan aplikasi, pembuatan katalog produk, serta pengaturan balas cepat dan pesan otomatis. Evaluasi melalui wawancara dan kuesioner kepuasan mengukur perubahan efisiensi. Hasil pendampingan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam efisiensi operasional Pernik Dessy. Pengarsipan data menjadi lebih terstruktur, pemasaran produk melalui katalog digital meningkatkan visibilitas dan komunikasi dengan reseller, dan fitur balas cepat menghemat waktu dalam merespons pelanggan. Evaluasi menunjukkan kepuasan mitra terkait pemaparan dari Tim PkM Polinema sebesar 83,6%, sedangkan pemahaman materi terkait WA business peserta sebesar 84,4% dan kemudahan yang dirasakan saat menggunakan WhatsApp business saat melakukan pelayanan pada konsumen sebesar 80,8%. Kesimpulan dari hasil kegiatan ini yaitu pemilik usaha dan reseller merasa mendapatkan kemudahan dalam melayani pelanggan.

Abstract

Food product packaging plays a crucial role in determining market competitiveness, particularly for local food products in rural areas. Proper packaging not only preserves product quality but also significantly influences consumer purchasing decisions and product marketability. Despite the growing recognition of packaging importance, many small-scale food producers in Indonesia still face challenges in implementing standard packaging practices due to limited knowledge, resources, and access to modern packaging technology. This Community Service Program (PKM) was carried out by a team of lecturers from the Business Administration Department of the Malang State Polytechnic as an effort to increase the added value and competitiveness of the local food product “Duwet Polinema Catfish Nuggets” in Duwet Village, Tumpang District, Malang Regency. The main problems faced by the producer community are limited knowledge of product packaging and labeling, a lack of effective promotional strategies, and the unavailability of modern packaging equipment. The activities were carried out using a participatory approach through stages of socialization, technical training, promotional assistance, and the provision of vacuum sealer machine grants. The results of the activity showed an increase in the community's skills in packaging according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) principles, an improvement in product quality through hygienic and aesthetic packaging, and a strengthening of digital promotion capabilities. The synergy between academics and the community proved to be effective in increasing the added value and competitiveness of local products based on fishery potential, while strengthening the community's economic independence in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Copywriting is an important thing to do to increase the promotion carried out by Fiber to increase the sales of a product or service. The creativity produced in copywriting aims to invite readers to take action from a promotion. With the development of technology, copywriting is now not only presented in physical writing results but also becomes mandatory digitally to keep up with the development of online marketing communication media, such as social media and websites. The creativity of copywriting balanced with up-to-date communication media will be able to spearhead the advertising of a company or organization. The official website, which is generally an information medium, needs promotional writing like social media, in general, to make the official website an effective media utilization, an informative medium, and also a promotional communication medium between the website owner and stakeholders.

Abstract

Instagram is one of the main platforms in digital marketing, yet many business accounts still struggle to achieve optimal audience engagement. This study examines the Instagram account @bukumurahanak, which has more than 7,800 followers but records an engagement rate (ER) of only 1.2%, below the industry standard of 3–6%. The purpose of this research is to analyze the factors causing low engagement, evaluate the influence of content type on interaction, and propose improvement strategies. A quantitative descriptive method was applied through the analysis of 75 posts in 2024 and a survey of 200 respondents. ER was calculated to measure audience involvement based on impressions and follower count, while simple linear regression was used to test the influence of content type on engagement variation. The results show that interactive content achieved the highest reach, educational content was the most efficient, and promotional content performed the lowest (ER 0.9%). Regression analysis confirmed that content type significantly affects engagement (R² = 0.510), with 51% of the variation explained by content and 49% by other factors such as visual quality and posting consistency. In conclusion, content quality and relevance are critical in driving engagement. This study recommends balancing educational and interactive content while redesigning promotional content through storytelling, appealing visuals, and stronger calls-to-action.
