Abstract

The primary objective of this service activity is to enhance the value of products through effective packaging and product promotion. The community involved in the production of Duwet Polinema Sweet Tomato Jam in Duwet Village, Tumpang Sub-district, Malang Regency, faces a weakness in terms of promoting their products, resulting in limited consumer awareness. Duwet Polinema Sweet Tomato Jam is currently packaged in a very simplistic manner, which fails to capture public attention. To address these challenges, it is crucial to provide assistance and support in terms of packaging and labeling for the Duwet villagers who produce this jam. This intervention will contribute to increased visibility and appeal among potential consumers. To ensure consumer recognition of the Duwet Polinema Sweet Tomato Jam product, it is essential to convey information through branding and labeling. Additionally, to support the sustainability of the Duwet Polinema Sweet Tomato Jam business, it is highly recommended to offer comprehensive assistance in marketing and financial management to the company partners. This issue arises from the partners' lack of knowledge about product packaging. Furthermore, it is imperative for the growth and sustainability of the business to obtain government certifications such as P-IRT licenses and food safety certifications, as these certifications guarantee the quality and safety of the Sweet Tomato Jam.

Abstract

This PKM/Service program aims to improve the packaging and promotion of "Debog Banana Duwet Polinema Crispy Chips" in Duwet Village, Tumpang District, Malang Regency. The residents of Duwet Village face challenges in effectively packaging and promoting their product, which currently lacks adequate branding and labels. To address these issues, this community service initiative aims to provide guidance and support in improving the packaging of the chips, as well as enhancing their promotional activities. Simple packaging equipment will also be provided to streamline the packaging process. The program's implementation will begin with partner coordination and conclude with a comprehensive evaluation. The outcomes of the training and mentoring activities reveal several key findings: Partners have limited knowledge about product quality improvement, affecting the product's market recognition. Current packaging methods used by partners are basic, consisting of plastic clips without product labels, limiting their market reach to the local community. "Kribog's DuPo Crispy" products, created by partners, lack attractive branding and labels. To ensure the sustainability of "Kribog's DuPo Crispy" products produced by our partners, the following recommendations are made: Conduct training sessions focused on enhancing product quality, fostering creativity, and innovation among "Kribog's DuPo Crispy" producers. Provide support in marketing strategies to address partners' limited knowledge in this area. Offer assistance in obtaining government-issued certifications, such as P-IRT licenses and food safety certifications, to ensure product quality and safety standards for "Kribog's DuPo Crispy."

Abstract

The outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in early 2020 had profound and far-reaching impacts on global economies and financial markets. As countries implemented lockdowns, travel restrictions, and various other measures to curb the spread of the virus, financial markets experienced unprecedented volatility. The stock markets, in particular, exhibited fluctuations that were both dramatic and complex, challenging traditional understanding and analysis.  This study aims to examine the factors influencing the bullish movement of the Composite Stock Price Index (CSPI) during the Covid-19 pandemic. Drawing data from reputable sources such as the Indonesia Stock Exchange, The Central Bureau of Statistics, and Bank Indonesia, the research focuses on monthly records of the CSPI, inflation rates, and interest rates. Employing multiple regression analysis as the analytical tool, the study explores the intricate relationships between these variables. The findings present intriguing insights into the interplay between economic factors and stock market behavior. Notably, the research reveals a positive and statistically significant link between inflation and the bullish movement of the CSPI amidst the Covid-19 context. This suggests that rising inflation rates are associated with an upward trend in the CSPI. Conversely, the study uncovers a negative correlation between interest rates and the bullish trajectory of the CSPI during the pandemic. Higher interest rates are found to curtail the bullish movement of the index. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of the financial dynamics during challenging periods, offering valuable insights for investors, analysts, and policymakers seeking to navigate the complexities of the stock market amid Covid-19.

Abstract

This service activity program is carried out with the aim of increasing competitiveness and expanding the marketing of superior products produced by the Malang State Polytechnic to partner villages and Polinema entrepreneurial students. This is done by providing encouragement and motivation to increase productivity through efforts to expand the marketing network. Assistance to PKM partners is provided in the form of knowledge, skills and best practices to market products as typical Polinema souvenirs. This service program is carried out together with DUWET partner villages, Tumpang sub-district, Malang district and the Malang State Polytechnic ETU Business Incubator. Apart from that, assistance and marketing access are also provided in order to increase the potential empowerment of village areas and increase business productivity so as to encourage improvements in the welfare of village communities and student businesses. The problem currently faced by partners is that partners (assisted village residents and entrepreneurial students of the ETU Polinema business incubator tenants) have production results in the form of processed products and handicraft products as well as creative industries that have the opportunity to be marketed, however, the trained partners have not been able to maximize their potential. So that superior products cannot be marketed optimally, they do not have sales access to market the resulting products to become superior products. Meanwhile, Malang State Polytechnic partners do not yet have superior products as souvenirs that Polinema colleagues can bring as typical Polinema products. The fostered partners do not yet have a good understanding of village economic development (Rural Economic Development) as an effort to improve the welfare of village communities and young Polinema entrepreneurial tenants through business development and exploiting market opportunities. Understanding the importance of packaging not only as product protection, but also as branding and product promotion media. It is hoped that good packaging will increase the value of the product to be sold.  The solution offered is to map superior products that are suitable and ready to be widely marketed as souvenirs from Polinema, design a product catalog from the mapping, design product packaging dosages as typical souvenirs from Polinema, and provide additional knowledge about the importance of optimizing product packaging. as well as marketing access for Polinema's fostered partners at events/activities held on the Malang State Polytechnic campus as well as ready stock product displays as souvenirs from Polinema.  Keywords: Community Empowerment, Social Entrepreneurship, Packaging Optimization, competitiveness.

Abstract

This community service (PKM) program aims to improve the production field which is identified as having weaknesses in the vegetable ice cream producing community of Duwet Village, Tumpang District, Malang Regency. The partner's problem that can be identified from the production sector is the production support equipment that is still not fully available. The priority solution provided was training on hygienic production processes using the donated equipment in the form of a frezeer and blender. The results of this activity are proven to improve the quality and quantity of vegetable-based ice cream produced by residents. Suggestions from this service activity are 1) increase the number of production equipment in line with the increasing demand for vegetable ice cream. 2) It is necessary to develop innovative ice cream products with other vegetable- based ingredients such as carrots, spinach, or pumpkin which also have high nutritional value. 3) It is necessary to develop branding and marketing strategies to introduce vegetable ice cream to a wider market. 4) Counseling on more efficient production techniques, business management, and product development should be conducted regularly. 5) In order to maintain product quality consistency, it is recommended that program beneficiaries implement a quality management system. 6) It is necessary to establish a Joint Business Group (KUB) that is responsible for the production, management, and marketing of vegetable ice cream.
