Abstract

This research was motivated by the inadequate spiritual intelligence of students. This is due to demands and pressure to achieve certain academic targets, thereby ignoring spiritual intelligence; Limited time and resources covering all aspects of student development, so that spiritual intelligence is not a top priority; and shifts in societal and cultural values as a result of modernization. The purpose of the curriculum is to provide guidance for teachers in conveying learning material systematically to students. In the Independent Curriculum which is currently being implemented in many schools, the implementation of learning becomes more flexible. The aim of this research is to describe the influence of the PjBL Model based on differentiated strategies on students' spiritual intelligence. The research method used was Quasi Experiment with a Nonequivalent Pretest-Posttest Only Control Group Design. The research instrument used was a spiritual intelligence questionnaire. The results of the research show that the spiritual intelligence of students taught using the PjBL Model based on differentiated strategies is higher than those taught using conventional learning, where the average spiritual intelligence value of experimental group students is 83.5 and the average spiritual intelligence value control group students was 77.87. Thus, it can be concluded that the PjBL Model based on differentiated strategies has a significant effect on students' spiritual intelligence.

Abstract

Text for abstract. Type your abstract Font Calibri here (10pt). An abstract (minimum 150 word, maximum 200 words) is typed single space. The abstract should be written briefly and factually in English, and be written separately from the article. The abstract contains a clear elaboration of (1) background or research purpose, (2) methods, (3) results, and (4) conclusion. Short stories are one of the literary works that are interesting to read. Most of the stories in short stories are purely fictional; however, the stories in short stories have relevance to real life because the sources of the stories that occur in short stories partly come from human life. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the discovery learning model on students' ability to determine the intrinsic elements of short stories. The method used in this research is quantitative in the form of an experiment with a one-group pretest-posttest design. Data analysis in hypothesis testing uses a paired sampling t-test. The results of the research show that the value of the paired sample t-test shows that the sign value is 0.000 with a result of less than 0.05, which means that there is an influence of discovery learning on students' ability to determine the intrinsic elements of short stories in class XI of SMK Negeri 1 Jember

Abstract

Facts in the field show that low student engagement often stems from teaching strategies that do not align with students' diverse learning styles. This challenge is particularly pronounced in differentiated learning settings, where effectively identifying individual learner preferences (visual, auditory, kinesthetic) is crucial yet difficult to achieve efficiently on a large scale. At SMAN 1 Bantaran, for instance, the lack of a systematic and scalable diagnostic tool has resulted in prolonged periods of low engagement and ineffective personalization. This study addresses this gap by developing a scalable, technology-based solution. The primary aim is to develop and implement a Google Workspace-based learning style detection application to increase student engagement in differentiated learning for high school students. The research method uses Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model. The analysis includes: Needs analysis through observation and interviews to identify problems related to student engagement; Application design using Google Workspace; Questionnaire development, validation by media and content experts, and trial testing on five students; Implementation on Grade XI Package A students; and Evaluation of effectiveness using quantitative analysis (Aiken's V, N-Gain) and qualitative methods (questionnaires, interviews, observations). The collection of pretest, posttest, and effectiveness questionnaire data was then analyzed to assess validity, effectiveness, and increased engagement. The results showed that the application was highly valid (V = 0.95) and effective (87.86%) based on expert assessment and user satisfaction. Student engagement increased by 10.95% with a moderate category (N-Gain = 0.39). The distribution of learning styles showed a balance (4 kinesthetic, 5 auditory, 5 visual). In conclusion, this application has the potential to improve differentiated learning, although further development is needed for optimal results.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to develop RBL-STEM (Research-Based Learning–Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) learning kits that utilize recycled plastic bottles as electroscopes to improve climate change literacy among junior high school students. The research follows the ADDIE model, encompassing the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Initial analysis revealed that students' climate change literacy remained low, laboratory facilities are limited, and science education tends to be overly theoretical. The developed kits consisted of lesson plans (RPP), teaching modules, experimental worksheets (LKPD), electroscope prototypes, and evaluation instruments. Expert validation confirmed that the kits are “highly feasible.” Implementation involving 70 students showed a significant improvement in climate change literacy, with average scores rising from 66.61 in the pretest to 82.19 in the posttest. A paired-sample t-test yielded a significance value of 0.000, indicating that the kits are effective in enhancing students’ understanding. Furthermore, observations of the learning process and feedback from both teachers and students fell into the “excellent” category. The novelty of this research lies in the integration of RBL-STEM with electroscope experiments made from recycled materials, directly addressing environmental issues. Overall, these learning kits have proven to be valid, practical, and effective, contributing to stronger climate change literacy and the application of sustainable science education.
