Abstract

This research is motivated by the low motivation of elementary school students, which also impacts their learning achievement. Low learning motivation is caused by the lack of supporting media for learning activities. The purpose of this study was to analyze the significant effect of the use of Nearpod digital learning media on elementary school students' learning motivation and learning achievement. The study used the Quasi Experiment method with a nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The data collection method used questionnaires and tests. The instruments used were motivation questionnaires and learning achievement tests. The data analysis technique used inferential statistics with the t-test. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the use of Nearpod digital learning media has a significant effect on elementary school students' motivation and learning achievement. This is evidenced by the analysis results showing that the tcount for the motivation and learning achievement variables is greater than the ttable, which means that the alternative hypothesis is accepted. Nearpod, with interactive and multimedia features, increases student involvement in the learning process, which ultimately positively impacts understanding concepts and academic achievement. This study implies that the application of Nearpod digital learning media has a positive impact on elementary school students' motivation and learning achievement.

Abstract

This community service activity entitled Deep Learning Implementation Training Integrated with Quizizz-Based Learning Games was carried out at SDN 1 Kedungdowo Arjasa Situbondo in response to the limited mastery of technology-based learning media among teachers. The program aimed to improve teacher competence in utilizing innovative digital platforms to create more engaging and effective learning. The method used was Participatory Action Research (PAR), which emphasized collaboration and active involvement of teachers in every stage. The process began with identifying problems and needs, followed by training through theoretical materials on deep learning concepts and hands-on practice in developing Quizizz-based learning games. The implementation was then observed through classroom practice and teacher performance monitoring, and finally reflected through joint discussions to evaluate achievements and challenges as well as to design sustainable follow-up strategies. The results showed significant improvements in teacher competencies. Based on evaluation data, teachers’ understanding of deep learning concepts increased by an average of 78%, while their ability to design and apply Quizizz-based learning games rose by 85%. Classroom observations also demonstrated a 70% increase in student engagement, indicating that the integration of technology-based media successfully enhanced the learning atmosphere. Teachers expressed greater confidence in using digital tools, proving that the activity met its competency targets

Abstract

This study aims to improve students’ digital literacy skills through the utilization of online learning resources combined with collaborative discussions. The research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) with two cycles involving 32 eighth-grade students of MTsN 2 Jember, divided into 16 small groups. Each group carried out structured discussions with specific role distribution, namely information seeker, information evaluator, recorder, and presenter, so that each member had a clear responsibility. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed descriptively and qualitatively. The findings revealed a significant improvement in four indicators of digital literacy. The ability to access digital information increased from 66% in the first cycle to 87% in the second cycle; the ability to evaluate information rose from 29% to 52%; ethical use of information improved from 31% to 60%; and the ability to create digital content increased from 43% to 72%. These results demonstrate that a learning strategy based on online learning resources combined with structured group discussions can foster students to become more critical, ethical, and creative in utilizing digital technology. Therefore, this model is relevant to be applied in developing students’ digital literacy skills while preparing them to face the challenges of the 21st century.
