Abstract

This study aims to improve fine motor skills in children aged 4-5 years through cutting geometric shapes in Raudhatul Ulum Kindergarten Jember. This research is a collaborative classroom action research conducted in 2 cycles. Research subjects in children aged 4-5 years at Kindergarten Raudhatul Ulum Jember with 22 children. Data collection methods in this study used questionnaires and observations. Data analysis techniques using data reduction and data presentation. The average yield in the underdeveloped category is known to be a percentage of 55%, in terms of opening and cutting straight lines 45%. Cut the shape but not on the 50% line. Cut 70% of various geometric shapes. Next shows an increase after the first and second cycles are carried out in the Start Developing category with initial conditions with an average percentage of 55%, in the first cycle an average percentage of 65% and a second cycle an average percentage of 60% and no more percentage of 0%. Developing categories in line with expectations in the initial conditions an average percentage of 45%, in the first cycle an average percentage of 65% and a second cycle an average percentage of 70%. The observations cut geometric shapes from the Very Good Developing category in the initial conditions with an average percentage of 46%, in the first cycle the average percentage is 68% and the second cycle is an average percentage of 86%. Thus efforts to improve fine motor skills through cutting geometric shapes in children aged 4-5 years at Kindergarten Raudhatul Ulum Jember have increased and succeeded. Keywords: Strategy to Cut Geometry Shapes, Fine Motor Ability

Abstract

This research employs a quantitative causal (cause and effect) method with variables including the BBC Learning English Android-based application as variable X, while Writing Skill as variable Y1, and Learning Outcomes as variable Y2. The research questions are as follows: 1) Does the Use of the BBC Learning English Android-based Application Influence the Writing Skills of Grade X Students at SMA Plus Bustanul Ulum Jember? 2) Does the Use of the BBC Learning English Android-based Application Influence the Learning Outcomes of Grade X Students at SMA Plus Bustanul Ulum Jember? 3) Does the Use of the BBC Learning English Android-based Application Influence Writing Skills and Learning Outcomes Simultaneously for Grade X Students at SMA Plus Bustanul Ulum Jember? The respondents of this research are Grade X students at SMA Plus Bustanul Ulum Jember. Data analysis employs multiple correlations using SPSS v. 23 for Windows. Data collection procedures include interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The research findings can be summarized as follows: 1) The Hypothesis Test Result indicates a significant difference between the conventional learning media and the BBC Learning English Android-based application concerning the Writing Skills of Grade X students at SMA Plus Bustanul Ulum Jember. With a probability of 0.008 (sig) < 0.05, the null hypothesis is rejected. 2) The Hypothesis Test Result reveals that the use of the BBC Learning English Android-based application has a positive influence on the learning outcomes of students, as the analysis yields 0.535, signifying a 53.5% positive impact. This implies that the use of the BBC Learning English Android-based application affects students' learning outcomes. 3) The Hypothesis Test Result on the simultaneous influence of the BBC Learning English Android-based application on Writing Skills and learning outcomes indicates that the proposed hypothesis in Chapter II is accepted, signifying "No influence of the BBC Learning English Android-based Application on Writing Skills and Learning Outcomes of Grade X students at SMA Plus Bustanul Ulum Jember." The SPSS v. 23 calculation results show a correlation with a significance level of 99%.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to assess the impact of Android and E-learning usage on the academic outcomes of IPS subjects among seventh-grade students in MTs Al Mujahidi Tembokrejo Gumukmas Jember during the academic year 2022-2023. This study employs a correlational approach, with the independent variables involving the use of Android and E-learning, while the dependent variable is student academic achievement. Data collection methods include questionnaires, documentation, and interviews, followed by analysis using descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS v. 23 for Windows. The results indicate a positive correlation between the use of Android and academic achievement, as well as between the use of E-learning and academic achievement. Furthermore, the analysis reveals that the combined use of Android and E-learning significantly influences student academic outcomes. Consequently, it can be concluded that the utilization of Android and E-learning contributes positively to enhancing the academic performance of seventh-grade students at MTs Al Mujahidi Tembokrejo Gumukmas Jember during the academic year 2022-2023. This research provides further insights into the integration of technology in education and its potential to improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian Research and Development adalah metode penelitian yang digunakan untuk menghasilkan serta mengembangkan suatu produk serta menguji efektivitas produk tersebut. Tujuan Penelitian Pengembangan adalah: 1) Bagaimana prosedur pengembangan pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Media Flashcard untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran IPA materi pengelompokan hewan berdasarkan jenis makanannya pada siswa kelas V di SD N Bagorejo 03 Jember? Responden penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas V SD N Bagorejo dengan jumlah 15 peserta didik. Hasil penelitian pengembangan ini antara lain: 1) Media flashcard yang dikembangkan merupakan media berupa kartu yang berisi materi pengelompokan hewan berdasarkan jenis makanannya. Media flashcard dikembangkan dengan menggunakan Microsoft Publiser 2016. 2) Media flashcard yang telah dikembangkan layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran di kelas V SD. Hasil penilaian dari ahli materi menunjukan bahwa media yang dikembangkan masuk kriteria sangat layak dengan penilaian sebesar 87,5%. Sedangkan pada ahli media diperoleh penilaian sebesar 77,5% termasuk kriteria layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran. 3) Media flashcard yang dikembangkan efektif digunakan pada pembelajaran IPA materi pengelompokan hewan berdasarkan jenis makanannya di kelas V SD N Bagorejo 03 Jember terbukti dari hasil uji t-test yang memperoleh hasil pre-test mendapat rata-rata nilia 60,33. Sedangkan hasil post-test mendapat rata-rata nilai 91.66 artinya terdapat berbedaan hasil belajar sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan media flashcard, selain itu terdapat peningkatan rata-rata sebesar 86% termasuk kriteria tinggi, sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa media flashcard efektif digunakan pada pembelajaran IPA materi pengelompokan hewan berdasarkan jenis makanannya karena terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Learning Media is a learning tool that is used by someone with the aim of facilitating the delivery of information in learning. This is very helpful for teachers in their teaching and can be a solution to eliminating boredom when students are happy during learning activities. Flash media is a program that produces interactive and animated media that can combine images, audio, and video and give an effect that makes it interesting for students. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of flash learning media in learning mathematics at Class VII Junior High School, Darur Rahmah, Jember Regency. The method uses descriptive language by examining the teacher's ability to manage learning, responses, activities, and student learning outcomes. Based on the results of the analysis related to the effectiveness of flash learning media in mathematics learning at Darur Rahmah Junior High School, it can be concluded that (1) The ability of teachers to manage mathematics learning using flash media is categorized as very good; (2) Student activity is categorized as good with a percentage of student activity of 81.4%; (3) Student response to positive mathematics learning with a percentage of 94.29%; and (4) student learning outcomes meet the criteria of classical completeness with students completing 85.2%. Thus, the role of flash media in learning mathematics for class VII at SMP Darur Rahmah can be said to be effective.

Abstract

In facing the challenges of the digital economy and the global recession, the ability to produce creative digital-based content is an important need for students and young Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The community service partners in this activity consist of a community of student entrepreneurs and young Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Jember City, who have products but have difficulty in promoting and building brand visibility through digital media. The main problems faced by partners are low skills in creating effective video marketing content and the suboptimal instillation of character values ​​in business promotion. As a solution, the community service team carried out intensive training and mentoring based on the 7 Great Habits of Indonesian Children combined with basic video marketing techniques. The methods used include technical video-making workshops, character-based product storytelling sessions, and direct practice in creating and publishing promotional videos on social media. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in participants' skills in creating short videos that are interesting and contain character values, as well as increased participant confidence in marketing products digitally. This activity shows that a value-based training approach and creative practice can be an effective strategy in increasing the digital capacity of the younger generation and MSMEs in facing today's economic challenges.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan pembelajaran berbasis STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) pada tema alam semesta untuk meningkatkan perkembangan bahasa anak usia 5–6 tahun, mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung dan penghambatnya, serta mengeksplorasi upaya sekolah dalam mengatasi kendala tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi di TK Dewi Masyitoh 07 Umbulsari, Jember, melibatkan 20 anak kelompok B. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan STEAM sudah berjalan baik, melibatkan tahap questioning, exploring and observing, serta developing skills and processes. Metode ini mendorong anak untuk berimajinasi dan berkreasi sesuai kemampuan mereka. Faktor pendukung meliputi peran orang tua yang mendukung kreativitas anak, seperti menggunakan bahan bekas untuk bermain. Namun, hambatan muncul dari kurangnya edukasi dan kesibukan orang tua, yang mengurangi efektivitas pembelajaran STEAM. Untuk mengatasi hambatan ini, sekolah melakukan parenting, sosialisasi dengan orang tua, dan guru berinisiatif menyusun buku atau sumber belajar mandiri. Dengan pendekatan ini, pembelajaran berbasis STEAM terbukti mampu meningkatkan perkembangan bahasa anak serta melibatkan sinergi antara sekolah, guru, dan orang tua.

Abstract

This study was conducted at SMKN to address the lack of media variation in vocational education and to improve student creativity, especially in the Computer and Network Engineering (TKJ) major. The objective was to develop an interactive e-book based on Book Creator and examine its development process and effectiveness. The research used the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) within the R&D framework. Instruments included expert validation sheets, student response questionnaires, pretests, posttests, and observation forms. The developed media presented learning content with interactive features such as text, audio, video, animations, and quizzes. Results showed that media validation scored 92%, material 91.01%, student response 97.9%, and pretest-posttest instrument validity over 90%. The e-book effectively increased students’ creativity: fluency improved from 62.1 to 83.4 (N-Gain 0.56), originality from 58.9 to 81.7 (N-Gain 0.53), flexibility from 60.5 to 85.0 (N-Gain 0.61), and elaboration from 64.0 to 84.5 (N-Gain 0.58). The overall N-Gain score was 0.58 (medium category). A paired t-test (p = 0.000 < 0.05) confirmed significant improvement. Student and teacher responses also indicated the media was enjoyable, easy to use, and facilitated concept understanding. In conclusion, the Book Creator-based interactive e-book is valid, practical, and effective in fostering creativity among vocational students and supports 21st-century learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the use of the SAS (Synthetic Structural Analytical) method in improving the beginning reading and writing skills of first graders with speech impairments. This research is a class action research (CAR). Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, documentation, and tests. Data analysis was carried out in this study using descriptive analysis, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that: 1) using the synthetic structural analytic method (SAS) can improve the beginning reading and writing skills of grade 1 students, 2) using the synthetic structural analytic method (SAS) in learning to read beginning and start writing is carried out in stages, namely two cycles experienced a significant increase where students in cycle 1 were categorized as 'less' than the average value of 66.6 and in cycle II they increased to the category of 'very good' with an average value of 81.1. Thus the synthetic structural analytic method (SAS) needs to be used as a reference by teachers in early reading and writing learning activities in elementary schools.
