Abstract

This research was conducted at the location of the Car Free Day located on Jalan Diponegoro, Pekanbaru City. The purpose of this study was to find out the characteristics of car free day visitors and to find out the function of Car Free Day for the community in Pekanbaru city. The theory used is functional structuralist theory and Talcott parsons social action theory with. This type of research uses a descriptive quantitative approach with 100 samples as respondents from taking accidental sampling techniques. Data was collected with data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires, observation and documentation. The results of this study say the characteristics of visitors who come to visit Car Free Day have different backgrounds. The most frequent characteristic of visiting Car Free Day is that of teenagers who do not have a marital status with the highest level of education, graduating from high school so that they do not have income. Visitors who come to Car Free Day prefer partners to visit with friends with intensity. attendance every 2 weeks taking a trip time of 15-30 minutes and visit time between 07.00 to 09.00 am for 30-60 minutes to spend time at the Car Free Day. The reason they chose the location of the Car Free Day because the Car Free Day that was on the Diponegoro road was a crowded car free of other visitors and began to be interested in the past one year and the Car Free Day served as a sports facility that is 89%, entertainment facilities / refreshing 91%, shopping facilities are 71% and function as a means of social interaction that is 70%.Keywords: Public Space, Car Free Day, Pekanbaru

Abstract

This research was conducted around the Tampan district of Pekanbaru. The aim of the study is to know the initial process of students interested in coming to Cafe around the handsome district of Pekanbaru. Topic focus of this research is to know the activity of students in Cafe Kecamatan Tampan Kota Pekanbaru. The samples in this study amounted to 6 people. The authors use qualitative methods and use sampling techniques purposive sampling. Data instruments are observations, interviews and documentation. From the research done, the authors find. Research finds there are several things that encourage students to do a gathering activity at the cafe. That is as follows: Follow friends, research finds that the influence of peers is very potential to attract students especially the subject of research come to the cafe. Doing college assignments, students or research subjects is no longer focused on old habits where coursework is done at home, cost or in groups at a friend's house. For entertainment, research conducted find all research subjects visiting the cafe with the aim to seek entertainment.  Research also finds there are several student gathering activities in Cafe which are as follows: discussion, research finds that research subjects very often do light discussions about campuses or personal problems in the café around the campus. Filling empty time with chatting, research finds the average research subject spent 2-3 hours to just chat in the café with his colleague. Participate in singing and playing music, research finds there are several research subjects or students who use their own musical instruments when gathered at the cafe. Abstract

Is a person with disabilities or physical state of the biological system is different from other in general. Persons with disabilities is a group of people who have been marginalized and often discrimination in social and political life. This research on the government role in protection for people with disabilitiiesin pekanbaru (study on the organization welfare associations with disabilities). This research on the government role in social protection welfare associations with disabilities in pekanbaru include things about the government concern for disabled people is done though organization welfare associations with disabilities (PKPC). Organization welfare associations with disabilities is an organization or institution whose existence is expected to play an active role in the struggle for justice and welfare rights for people with disabilities as citizens as well as delete a variety of views and poor judgment against the disabled. To determine the role of government to the people with disabilities can be seen from the questionnaires distributed. Researchs to test the validity and realiability to 30 samples to determine wheter the question in the questionnaire can answer the problem of research. Researchers using spearman correlation analysis because the collected in the from ordinal data. Abstract

This research was conducted on traveling traders in Kelurahan Pebatuan, Pekanbaru City with the aim of knowing how social capital and contributions become traveling traders for the family economy. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The subjects in this study were 6 people. The technique for determining informants is to use techniques purposive sampling. Purposive sampling is taking the subject by specifying special characteristics in accordance with the objectives of the study so that it is expected to answer the research problem.In collecting data, researchers used observation, interview and documentation techniques. The theory used is the theory of social capital consisting of social networks, social norms and beliefs. The results of this study are that social capital is very important in running a mobile and smooth trading business such as networks that can help to expedite their businesses. Social norms that become a benchmark and make them more directed. Trust that makes it easy for them to buy goods to suppliers and in the transaction process with customers. With the existence of social capital such as networks, norms and beliefs it makes it easier for their businesses because in managing the business they are carried out together and a sense of trust is established. While being a traveling merchant, there is income that is used as a contribution to the family economy. The contribution is in the form of results which are used for daily needs. Keywords: Social Capital, Travelling Traders

Issues discussed in this paper is to describe how the perception of parents about early childhooddevelopment ECD in yayasan Bina Mandiri Kelurahan Simpang Baru Kecamatan Tampan. Perception of parentsis seen through indicators such as : parental knowledge about early childhood development ( ECD ) , the drivingfactors of parents in educating children . population of this study is that parents send their children in earlychildhood , sample used was cluster sampling , the samples were grouped into two , namely : parents who workand do not work . Method used is descriptive quantitative methods with quantitative data analysis and descriptiveexplanation . Instrument filtering data in use is the observation , questionnaires and interviews , and tabulation ofdata contained in a single data tabulations and diagrams . theory applied to problems of parental perceptions aboutearly childhood education is Max Weber's theory of social action that is especially rational action theory andinstrumental support from David Chaney is people's lifestyles industry . Abstract

The makeup artist is an artist who has the ability to make makeup in other people’s body parts, including the face. These skills and abilities are derived from a beauty class or the privates of a makeup professional. As a hobby of profession, make up artist in the Pekanbaru City of fair is now deeply concerned by various students, because this activity doesn’t take much time and is running at any time. This phenomenon about activity in the world of makeup is what research is all about. The main focus on this writing leads to social networks. There are forms of tissue, an interest network, a sentimental network, and a power network, ini which all three networks are formed of mutually beneficial relationships. Data retrieval is made by observation following the student activities of the Pekanbaru City that run activities as make up artist and interviews in depth and documenting. Interviews conducted where reseachers verbally and direcly question the subject in full effect. It’s inconceivable that being a make up artist is not an easy ting to do, because it takes a desire to continue learning to sharpen the skills of make up, a lot of money to buy makeup, and mentally strong to take criticism from a client. Keywords : Make Up Artist (MUA), Activity and Social Network.

Abstract

This research describes about student’s achievement in social and political science university of Riau. This subject is student’s who was named the standings at graduation in 2013 and 2014, by formulating the problem of characteristics of oustanding students, environment and activities. This research used qualitative research methods and data collection methods, namely purposive sampling. This research uses analitif-descriptive method. The datas were obtained from internet, journals, and books. Then, they were collected, summarized and analyzed based on the social research method.This research uses the theory of David McClelland about Motivation Theory and Needs. Abstract

This research was conducted in Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi. The aim of this study was to determine what elements are in the social system boar hunting in Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi. This study entitled "Social Systems Society Hunting Pigs in Desa Koto Taluk Kecamatan Kuantan Tengah Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi ". Topics focus of this research are the elements of what is in the social system boar hunting in Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi. Samples from this study is that people desa koto taluk. taking samples was done by simple random sampling technique. Key informants are the elder person in the group boar hunting Koto village Taluk totaling 1. While this research Informants Informants are 5 people consisting of members of the group boar hunting in Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi. The author uses qualitative descriptive method and the data was analyzed qualitatively. Data instrument is observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The results showed that the pig hunt is done in Kuantan Singingi, there are some elements of a social system that was found, that the purpose of hunting pigs, trust and knowledge, and the facilities used. There are four forms of implementation boar hunting game in Kuansing, which Olek Hunting, Hunting Sunday, Tuesday Hunting, Hunting Solek. In the game of hunting there are some functions in society melakuknannya, namely the function of manifest and latent functions, ie functions manifest (Mutual cooperation to combat pests, sport and hobby, Tourism and recreation, social function) b. Abstract

Public response from Desa Simpang Petai Kecamatan Rumbio Jaya Kabupaten Kampar of kerosene conversion to LPG marked by concrete action of public to conversion program kerosene against LPG or that arise and emerge from the community at the time of the conversion program. The reaction that occurs at the time of the conversion program is a positive response and negative response where positive repon is a response to the acceptance of a new innovation while the negative response is a rejection of the new innovation. Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze Chinese Traders in Pasar Tengah Kota Pekanbaru. This research is qualitative research which analyzed by desktriptif. The theory used in this research is work ethic theory and cultural value orientation by Kluckhohn. In this research Number of informants there are 6 people. Sampling technique is Purposive Sampling. Results from the field said that the ethos of work owned Chinese traders there are six factors that mempengrauhinya namely; Religion, social politics, environmental conditions, education, economic structure, intrinsic motivation. The work ethic greatly affects Chinese merchant business. And in running the business the Chinese also must be able to determine the type of komuditi who want to be a business. This type of commodity also determines the success of the business run by Chinese merchants. The Chinese believe strongly in luck or what is often called Feng Shui.
