Abstract

Introduction: Physiotherapy treatment in CP diplegi for improved trunk control with satco Exercise combination TOA. to report the results of the FT program on CP diplegi to improve trunk control capabilities with satco exercise combined with TOA. Case Presentation: Patients aged 3 years with the main diagnosis of CP diplegi with less (ugly) trunk control who are currently undergoing therapy using SATco Exercise combination TOA. The implementation of physiotherapy is carried out for approximately 6 weeks with the frequency of therapy a week 3 times. The patient sits 90 degree in stool then installed pelvic straps for pelvic stabilization then given trunk control exercises with satco exercise for approximately 30 min / session into 3 parts namely static control, active control and reactive control each - 10 minutes each .and combined with TOA in the frontal sagittal and transverse fields (reach / grab and insert puzzle ring donut) Management and Outcome: after 18 treatments in the results there was an increase in control trunk which was initially at the upper thoracic control level with the level of support on the axilla currently there is an increase in the upper lumbar control level with a level of support below ribs (L3). Discussion: SATco or these is combined the TOA (Task Oriented of Activity) wich is the therapy that takes stage by stage down through the trunk and then in those children are able through the lower limbs working on their posturalcontrol and from that their function then evolves. TOA (Task Oriented Activity Based) is one of the NDT principles that has been proven effective and efficient in improving performance promoting meaningful and goal-oriented intensive training. Both treatments effectively help improve trunk control in patients. Conclusion: In these cases there was a significant increase in trunk control with SATco exercise combined with TOA.

Abstract

Introduction: Total hysterectomy is the surgical removal of the uterus for medical reasons. From the post-medical procedure and the effects of bed rest, complications can arise. Therefore, it is necessary to provide physiotherapy measures. Case Presentation: A 44-year-old woman came for pain treatment after total hysterectomy surgery. Pain is felt at the incision site for a total hysterectomy. Pain in the lower abdomen is felt when going up and down stairs and activities, so that he cannot bend down and sit on the floor, as well as constipation and incontinence. Management and Outcome: The interventions used Pelvic Floor Muscle Training, Static Contraction in the abdominal muscles, Active Exercise on the hip joint flexors and trunk flexors, Breathing Exercises, Massage on the large intestine with repeaters 8 times per session 3 times a day and gradually increased and education, then Incision pain is reduced, constipation and incontinence are gone, functional ability is increased, muscle strength and range of motion are increased. Discussion: After the administration of physiotherapy modalities with repetition and a gradual increase in repetition, the patient’s complaints are reduced. Conclusion: Complications after total hysterectomy surgery in this case can be resolved by pelvic floor muscle training, static contraction of the abdominal muscles, active exercise on the hip joint flexors and flexors trunk, breathing exercise, colon massage and education.

Abstract

Introduction: In the lower extremities of the human body, there is a hip joint which is the most proximal part with the type of synovial ball and socket joint. In carrying out the functions, the hip joint often experiences problems both as a result of trauma, degenerative, and post-traumatic hip. Osteoarthritis (90%) contributes the largest problems in hip joint, followed by femoral neck fracture (5%), avascular necrosis (2%), dysplasia (2%), and inflammatory arthritis (1%) (Ferguson et al, 2018). Thus, if conservative treatment did not provide better changes, then a total hip replacement is performed to reduce pain and improve physical function. Total hip replacement is a surgical procedure by replacing the entire hip joint with an implant. Implants themselves can last up to 20 years. Case Presentation: A 58-year-old patient with unable to endure pain and discomfort in his activities and at rest, when consulted by a doctor, patients experience infections around implants and plates & screws. After total hip replacement patient complained of pain in the incision on the side of tight and limited movement in the left leg. Management and Outcome: Early mobilization given in the form of breathing exercises, isometric exercises, and other exercises on the bed, then on the second and third days began to be given transfer-ambulation exercises. Pain is measured using NRS and joint scope of motion is measured using a goniometer. Discussion: From several articles that become supporting in line with the results obtained where the initial mobilization is a major influence in the patient's life in the future. Patients who do initial mobilization are able to return to activity more quickly than patients who do not do initial mobilization. Conclusion: After receiving physiotherapy management for early moilization at three days after surgery, there was a decrease in pain levels, an increase in joint scope of motion, and a decrease in edema in the patient's left leg.

Abstract

Kelurahan Kroyo, located in Karangmalang District, Sragen Regency, has strategic road access and the majority of its population works in the private sector, agriculture, and as brick craftsmen. However, the physical conditions often leading to heavy physical activity have made health issues, especially low back pain (LBP), a major health concern. LBP, a common problem among the elderly, is often triggered by factors such as aging, poor work habits, and a lack of physical activity. This can decrease the quality of life and productivity within the community. The purpose of this community service program is to provide preventive education and management of LBP through health counseling and physiotherapy interventions to the community of Kelurahan Kroyo, particularly members of the Persatuan Wredatama Republik Indonesia (PWRI). The participant in this activity is the PWRI Branch of Karangmalang, which has 26 elderly members. The implementation method of this program was carried out in three stages: preparation (coordination with the village administration and the village midwife), execution (health counseling and interactive discussions), and evaluation (post-test to assess participants' understanding). The results of the activity show an increase in participants' knowledge about the prevention and management of LBP, with the pre-test average score being 36.7% and the post-test increasing to 63.3%. This activity not only enhanced health awareness but also provided practical skills that can be applied in daily life, such as stretching exercises and proper posture. Through this community service, it is hoped that PWRI members will be able to reduce LBP complaints and lead a healthier and more productive life.

Abstract

M. Soewandhie Surabaya.
