Abstract

Sentiment analysis is a subfield of Natural Language Processing (NLP) that focuses on detecting and classifying opinions expressed in textual data. In the digital social context, the increasing volume of public comments related to online gambling in Indonesia highlights the need to map public perception. This study aims to conduct an experimental analysis of the performance of three popular sentiment analysis approaches: VADER (Valence Aware Dictionary and sEntiment Reasoner), Naive Bayes, and Transformers-based models, specifically on Indonesian-language text. The dataset consists of public comments from social media and digital platforms containing keywords related to online gambling. The research process involves text preprocessing, data labeling, model training (for Naive Bayes and Transformers), and performance testing. Evaluation metrics include accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. The experimental results show that the Transformers model (using IndoBERT) achieves the highest performance in terms of accuracy and generalization ability, while VADER performs less optimally due to its limitations in understanding Indonesian linguistic context. Naive Bayes demonstrates moderate and consistent performance but lacks the capability to capture complex contextual meanings. These findings contribute to selecting appropriate sentiment analysis methods for non-English languages and support the development of more accurate public opinion detection systems in the future

Abstract

This study systematically reviews how erosion of self-efficacy predicts burnout among school counselors by synthesizing nine empirical studies published between 2015 and 2025 using PRISMA 2020 and Kitchenham’s SLR framework. Findings show that declining self-efficacy consistently predicts higher emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and reduced personal accomplishment. Self-efficacy also mediates the relationship between job resources (role clarity, supervision, training) and counselor well-being, while loneliness and weak organizational support attenuate the protective effects of self-efficacy. Contextual vulnerabilities include crisis management and parental collaboration, where demands often exceed counselors’ capacities. Based on integrated evidence, the study proposes a context-sensitive early-detection framework for Indonesian schools that integrates organizational supports, mastery experiences, and emotional-spiritual interventions. Contributions are threefold: theoretical extension of the Job Demands Resources model, empirical validation of self-efficacy erosion as a predictor of burnout, and practical guidance for prevention. Future research should validate detection instruments and use longitudinal, mixed-method designs in Indonesian settings and implementation studies. Keywords: burnout, school counselors, self-efficacy, loneliness, systematic literature review

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of group counseling using the Solution-Focused Brief Counseling (SFBC) approach, with the Exception Question and Miracle Question techniques, in improving students' self-adjustment at MTs Negeri 1 Palembang. The research employed an experimental method with a Randomized Pretest–Posttest Comparison Group Design, involving 21 seventh-grade students divided into three groups: the Exception Question, the Miracle Question, and a control group. The instrument used was a self-adjustment scale that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test to assess effectiveness within each group and the Kruskal-Wallis Test to examine differences in effectiveness among groups. The findings show that both techniques effectively improved students' self-adjustment, with the Miracle Question technique demonstrating a stronger effect. These results indicate that SFBC, particularly the Miracle Question technique, can be an effective intervention to enhance students' self-adjustment

Abstract

Purpose This study aimed to reveal the types and distribution of illocutionary speech acts and their role in building the legitimacy of Indonesian leadership and economic policies in the speech of the RI President at the World Economic Forum (WEF) Davos 2026 entitled President Prabowo's Concept of Economic Thought Method This research employed a qualitative approach using a descriptive-analytical design. The data were obtained from the official video recording of the speech observed and transcribed verbatim. The analysis combined Searle’s (1979) theory of illocutionary speech acts and van Leeuwen’s (2007) legitimacy framework.     Results/findings The study found 272 illocutionary speech acts to express different purposes, namely representatives used to convey facts and claims of success, commissive used to show promises or commitments, expressive functioned to express appreciation or pride, directives used to invite or encourage the audience. The legitimacy pattern in this speech used strategies according to van Leeuwen (2007), especially rationalization, moral evaluation, and authorization, as well as a little mythopoesis. Conclusion                 The study concluded that the WEF Davos 2026 speech operates as a strategic diplomatic instrument that conveys information, constructs legitimacy, and reinforces Indonesia’s position in global political-economic communication. It recommends further research on international political speeches to deepen understanding of how speech acts and legitimacy strategies shape global diplomatic narratives.
