Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita materi aritmatika sosial berdasarkan gender. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Adapun sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA Kelas X di salah satu sekolah yang berada di Kabupaten Sukabumi. Pemilihan subjek menggunakan purposive sampling, subjek penelitian dipilih berdasarkan gender dan hasil tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis, wawancara, dan observasi. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini yaitu penjodohan pola dan eksplanasi data. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis berdasarkan gender terdapat perbedaan. Siswa perempuan telah mampu menuntaskan setiap indikator kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis karena cenderung mampu memahami soal serta mampu memberikan informasi dan mampu menyusun rencana penyelesaian soal, sedangkan siswa laki-laki hanya mampu menuntaskan dua dari empat indikator yang digunakan karena cenderung mampu memahami soal akan tetapi kurang teliti dan kurang mampu menjelaskan lebih rinci dalam menentukan metode penyelesaian soal.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mendeskripsikan atau menggambarkan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa SMP ketika menyelesaikan soal himpunan. Pendekatan yang digunakan ialah pendekatan kualitatif metode deskriptif. Penelitian dilakukan di kelas VII semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2022/2023 sebanyak 34 siswa dan pengambilan sampelnya dilakukan dengan cara purposive sampling. Teknis analisis data menggunakan cara pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Instrumen yang digunakan ialah tes kemampuan representasi matematis berupa soal materi himpunan dalam bentuk soal uraian (essay). Hasil penelitian diperoleh siswa dengan kategori representasi tinggi memenuhi indikator representasi verbal dan representasi gambar dengan baik, namun belum memenuhi indiktor representasi simbol. Siswa pada kategori sedang memenuhi indikator representasi verbal, namun belum memenuhi indikator representasi simbol dan representasi gambar. Siswa pada kategori rendah belum memenuhi seluruh indikator kemampuan representasi matematis.

Abstract

This study aims to measure the effectiveness of the flipped classroom blended learning model on the mathematical understanding abilities of junior high school students. The research adopts a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design involving two classes at SMPN 3 Karawang Barat. Class VIII-B, serving as the experimental group, received instruction using the flipped classroom model, while class VIII-A, serving as the control group, was taught using conventional teaching methods. Data were collected through pretests and posttests that measured the students' mathematical understanding abilities. The results indicated a significant improvement in the mathematical understanding abilities of the students in the flipped classroom model compared to those in the conventional teaching methods. This conclusion was derived from data analysis using the t-test, which showed a significant difference between the students who were taught using the flipped classroom model and those who were taught using conventional methods in terms of their improvement in mathematical understanding abilities. Further analysis using N-gain and effect size tests was conducted, This study concludes that the flipped classroom blended learning model can be an effective alternative to enhance the mathematical understanding abilities of junior high school students.

Abstract

Learning mathematics today has many variations in learning, one of which is by using GeoGebra Software in learning mathematics. Mathematics in school learning requires the ability to reason, analyze calculations, and imagine in accordance with the ability to think creatively. The purpose of this research is to conduct a literature review related to Creative Thinking Ability in Junior High School Mathematics Learning. The method used in this research is SLR (Systematic Literature Review) on “Use of GeoGebra” and “Creative Thinking Ability” published in the last ten years from sinta and scopus indexed journals in Google Scholar. This study was guided by the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) which resulted in 14 (fourteen) research articles to be systematically reviewed in 2014-2024 which were selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results showed that the use of GeoGebra on Creative Thinking Ability in Mathematics Learning was proven to significantly improve the ability of students with the application of learning models or not than conventional learning models.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui literasi matematis siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal PISA konten change and relationship. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif metode deskriptif. Pengambilan sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling berjumlah 3 siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen tes tulis PISA dan wawancara mengenai literasi matematis. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh bahwa secara keseluruhan ketercapaian literasi matematis siswa memiliki presentase 29,62%. Berdasarkan kategori literasi matematis maka disimpulkan bahwa 1) siswa dengan kategori tinggi mampu menuntaskan 2 indikator kemampuan literasi matematis; 2) siswa dengan kategori sedang mampu menuntaskan 2 indikator kemampuan literasi matematis, tetapi siswa masih kesulitan dalam menafsirkan permasalahan soal; dan 3) siswa dengan kategori rendah hanya mampu menuntaskan 1 indikator kemampuan literasi matematis.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tentang pemanfaatan software Visual Basic Application Microsof Excel dalam pembelajaran matematika selama 10 tahun terakhir pada mesin pencarian Google Scholar berbantuan Publish or Perish. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode Systematic Literature Review. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemanfaatan software Visual Basic Application Microsoft Excel dalam pembelajaran matematika mempunyai manfaat yang sangat beragam, diantaranya untuk meningkatkan pemahaman matematis, pemecahan masalah matematis, penalaran matematis, komunikasi matematis, kemampuan abstraksi matematis, pemahaman konsep, dan berpikir kritis. Selain itu, setelah pembelajaran dilaksanakan, kemampuan kreatif siswa lebih baik dan kemampuan relisiensi tergolong baik. Dengan penerapan model Software Visual Basic Application (VBA) Microsoft Excel siswa memberikan respon positif, lebih termotivasi dalam belajar, minat terhadap belajar matematika menjadi lebih baik, dan kepercayaan diri dalam belajar matematika tergolong baik. Siswa kelas VIII di SMP Terpadu Cokroaminoto memiliki kemampuan kepercayaan diri yang rendah.

Abstract

Rendahnya motivasi siswa dalam mempelajari matematika menjadi suatu tantangan yang sering terjadi dalam pembelajaran matematika. Penggunaan media edugames berbasis Wordwall menjadi alternatif solusi untuk meningkatkan motivasi siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan media edugames berbasis Wordwall terhadap motivasi belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika kelas VII. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode pre-eksperimen. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah one-shot case study. Desain ini digunakan untuk mengamati efek perlakuan secara langsung setelah pembelajaran tanpa dilakukan pre-test. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII di SMPN 3 Cikarang Selatan. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 38 siswa kelas VII.5 yang diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu angket penggunaan media edugames berbasis Wordwall dan angket motivasi belajar siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket motivasi belajar siswa yang diberikan setelah pembelajaran menggunakan media edugames berbasis Wordwall dan dianalisis menggunakan uji regresi linear sederhana dengan bantuan Software SPSS Statistics versi 25. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif dari media edugames berbasis Wordwall terhadap motivasi belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika sebesar 31,8%

Abstract

One of the efforts used so that students' motivation to learn mathematics can rise is by giving ice-breaking in learning mathematics. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of ice-breaking on the mathematics learning motivation of elementary school students. This study uses a quantitative type with a pre-experimental research design. The research design used was One group Pretest-Posttest Design with a sample of 17 students of SD class V. Data collection techniques were carried out by giving learning motivation questionnaires before treatment (ice-breaking) and after treatment (ice-breaking). breaking). Data analysis consisted of descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistics in the form of hypothesis testing using t-test. From the results of hypothesis testing using t-test, it is known that there is a difference in average motivation to learn before and after ice-breaking. The average motivation to learn after ice-breaking is higher than before ice-breaking. Thus it can be concluded that there is an effect of giving ice-breaking on learning motivation.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the mathematical communication skills of junior high school students. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The research subjects were 30 students of class VII. Sampling was done by simple random sampling. The data analysis technique used is the model according to Miles & Huberman. The data collection technique uses a test of mathematical communication skills containing essays with set material. The results showed that there were 5 students in the high category with a percentage of 17%, 18 students in the medium category with a percentage of 60%, and 7 students in the low category with a percentage of 23%.

Abstract

Early childhood education is a coaching effort carried out for children from birth to the age of six by providing educational stimuli in helping their physical and spiritual growth and development with the aim that children have maximum readiness to enter higher education levels. Numerical literacy in early childhood can be used as a tool used in developing thinking skills in children, supporting children in developing various talents or intellectual potentials they have and can be used as a means of cultivating a positive affective side in instilling basic personalityThis study aims to describe a numeracy literacy skills in early childhood students. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Researchers used purposive sampling to take research subjects, and obtained as many as 28 PAUD students, and from 28 people 3 people were taken to be analyzed in depth related to their numeracy literacy skills. Instruments in this research are observation, test, Interview, and dokumentation. Data analysis techniques in this study include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of research that have been done show that numeracy literacy in early childhood aged 5-6 years of arithmetic, geometry and patterns as follows: (1) Be able to name the symbols of numbers 1-20, (2) Have the ability to using number symbols to calculate, (3) Able to match numbers with number symbols and recognize differences based on "more than"; "less than"; and "most”, (4) Able to classify objects based on color, shape and size (3 variations), (5) Have the ability to sort objects by size from smallest to largest or vice versa,  (6) Can estimate the next pattern after seeing the shape of more than 3 consecutive patterns (7) Meets errors in writing number symbols due to the accumulation of information received by the brain. This happens because at the same time, the brain receives information in the form of numeric symbols in Arabic and number symbols in general at the same time, (8) Numeracy literacy activities in the pandemic period for early childhood can still be done one of them with learning involving the environment which without eliminating the element of play but still able to facilitate the development of children.
