Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the discovery learning model on learning activities and student learning outcomes. The problems studied in this study are: 1) Is there any effect of using E-modules on increasing conceptual understanding in students? 2) Is there any effect of using E-modules on improving Critical Thinking in students. 3) Is there any effect of using E-modules on improving conceptual understanding and critical thinking in students together? The design of this study was quantitatively causal. The data collection method uses questionnaires, tests, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out with validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests in the form of normality tests, multicollinearity tests, autocorrelation tests, heteroscedasticity tests, and hypothesis testing with F tests. The results showed that (1) there was an influence of the use of E-modules on increasing understanding of concepts by showing a calculated t value of 1.842 greater than t table (2) the effect of using E-modules on critical thinking by showing a calculated t value of 2.275 greater than t table (3) the results of regression analysis obtained f count 4.494 greater than f table, then there was an influence of using E-modules on increasing concept understanding and critical thinking together.

Abstract

Improving the quality of education in Higher Education has been pursued by various programs run by institutions. Some of the variables that affect learning achievement, among others, are the role of lecturers in the classroom, classroom climate, and student learning motivation. In this context, the purpose of this research is to know the direct relationship between: 1) the role of lecturer in class with learning motivation, 2) role of lecturer in class with class climate, 3) class climate with learning motivation, 4) learning motivation with achievement learning, 5) role of lecturer with learning achievement through learning motivation, 6) class climate with learning achievement through learning motivation. The design of this study used a quantitative survey method, a correlational type. Determination of research area using purposive sampling method area. As a research population is a student of PAUD IKIP PGRI Jember semester even academic year 2015/2016. The number of university students in 2014 is 472 students and taken 205 people as sample. Sampling using random sampling technique of lottery technique. To collect the data used questionnaire and analyzed using SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) analysis technique with AMOS 4.10 program. The conclusion of the research results are as follows: 1) the developed model is good (fit) based on index RMSEA 0.075 which means less than standard 0.08. This means that the model developed can be explained by the variables used in this study, 2) there is a direct relationship between: a) the role of lecturers in the classroom with learning motivation, b) the role of lecturers in the classroom with classroom climate, c) class climate with motivation to learn, d) learning motivation with learning achievement, e) indirect relationship between role of lecturer with learning achievement through learning motivation, f) indirect relationship between classroom climate with learning achievement through learning motivation.

Abstract

Assessment is an integral part of the learning process, aiming to measure the achievement of educational objectives. High-quality assessment instruments require evaluation of item validity, reliability, and difficulty level. This study aims to analyze the quality of Physics test items for grade XI at SMAN 1 Sape, Bima Regency, using the Rasch Model. This approach was selected because it provides detailed information on item characteristics, including validity, reliability, and difficulty, in a quantitative manner. The study employed a descriptive quantitative method. Data were collected from midterm examination results of grade XI students from purposively selected schools. A total of 25 multiple-choice items were analyzed using WINSTEP software with the Rasch Model approach. The analysis was conducted to identify items that were valid, reliable, and appropriately difficult according to students' ability profiles. The results showed that most items lacked adequate validity and required revision. The reliability of the instrument was categorized as moderate, indicating a sufficient level of consistency in measuring students' abilities. Regarding item difficulty, most questions were classified as difficult, with only a few categorized as easy or very easy. These findings underscore the importance of regular evaluation of test items to ensure the quality of assessment instruments.

Abstract

Students' low interest in learning has an impact on low learning outcomes. The aim of this research is to analyze the influence of the use of video media and image media on student learning outcomes in terms of student interest in learning; The influence of high student interest in learning and low student interest in learning on student learning outcomes and the interaction of the use of learning media and student interest in learning with student learning outcomes in terms of student interest in learning. The population in this study was 34 students. Data collection consists of interest questionnaire data and learning outcomes test data. Questionnaires are used to collect data about students' learning interests using video and image media, while tests are related to student learning outcomes through video and image learning media. Analysis of this research data used the two-way Anova technique. The results of the research show that there are differences in the influence between the use of video media and image media on student learning outcomes in terms of learning interest. Based on descriptive analysis, it can be seen that high student interest is better than low student interest on student learning outcomes. The implications of this research are can provide valuable insight into the importance of choosing learning media that suits students' interests.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out whether using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) module can improve (PBL) Science Process Skills and Students' Critical Thinking Skills. Research design: causal quantitative, determination of research area: purposive sampling area, determination of respondents: population research area. Data collection: 1). observation, 2). interview, 3). document. Data analysis 1) instrument test, 2) classic assumption test, 3) hypothesis test. Based on the results of the F-test analysis, it can be decided that the significance level is 0.001 or less than 0.05 and the F-count value is greater than the F-table (3.367 > 2.901). According to Mulyono (2018: 113), it can be decided that H0 is rejected so that it can be taken the conclusion that the independent variable has a significant influence on the dependent variable. This means that it can be concluded that there is an effect of using the Problem Based Learning module (variable X) on science process skills (variable Y1) and critical thinking skills (variable Y2) jointly with class X SMK PGRI Sempu in the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. So it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) Module has an effect on Science Process Skills and Students' Critical Thinking Skills and H0 is rejected.
