Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of different types of organic fertilizers on the growth and yield of two varieties of black soybean (Glycine soja (L.) Merril ). The black soybean varieties used were the Mallika variety and the Lumajang local variety. The research site is in the Research and Collection Gardens, Faculty of Agriculture, Slamet Riyadi University, Surakarta. The research was carried out from May 19, 2021 to August 10, 2021. The design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two factors. The types of treatment were: Mallika variety without fertilizer (V1P0), Lumajang local variety without fertilizer (V2P0), Mallika variety with chicken manure (V1P1), Lumajang local variety with chicken manure (V2P1), Mallika variety with goat manure (V2P1). V1P2), local variety Lumajang with goat manure (V2P2), Mallika variety with cow manure (V1P3), local variety Lumajang with cow manure (V2P3), Mallika variety with guano fertilizer (V1P4), local variety Lumajang with guano fertilizer (V2P4). From these treatments, 9 types of treatment combinations and 1 control (without fertilizer) were obtained and were repeated 4 times so that 40 experimental units were obtained. Parameters observed included plant height, number of leaves, weight of wet stover, weight of dry stover, number of pods per plant, weight of pods per plant, number of seeds per plant, weight of dry seeds per plant, and weight of 100 seeds per plant. Data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (Anova), if significantly different then the data was tested by Duncan's test at 5% level to distinguish the mean between treatments. The results showed that 1) The best treatment was obtained with the use of organic chicken manure, because the content of N,P,K in chicken manure was higher than other manures, and chicken manure had a fairly high nutrient content and decomposed relatively quickly. 2) The local variety Lumajang had more pods with an average of 75.25 in the treatment of chicken manure compared to the Mallika variety, this significantly affected the number of seeds in the Mallika variety less than the local Lumajang variety. The highest number of seeds in the local variety Lumajang was found in the cow manure treatment with an average of 142.50 seeds. 3) Mallika variety has large seed size, the highest average weight of 100 seeds is 43.23 g in chicken manure treatment.

Abstract

This study on the Effect of Dosage of Organic Goat Manure and Dosage of NPK Fertilizer on Growth and Yield of Sweet Corn (Zea Mays Saccharata Sturt) was conducted on 7 May – 23 July 2021, in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Slamet Riyadi University, Surakarta. The altitude of the place is ± 105 meters above sea level with alluvial soil type. This study aims to examine the effect of dose of goat manure and dose of NPK fertilizer on growth and yield of sweet corn. A completely randomized design (CRD) was utilized in this investigation, which was set up in a factorial fashion. The treatment consisted of two components, each of which was repeated three times. (1) Goat manure (K) with four levels: control (K0), dose 0 gr/polybag (K1), dose 250 gr/polybag (K2), dose 500 gr/polybag (K3), and a dose of 750 gr/polybag (2). Control (M0), dose of 0 gr/polybag (M1), dose of 6.075 gr/polybag (M2), dose of 12.15 gr/polybag (M3) dose of 18,225 gr/polybag were the four levels of NPK fertilizer application. The procedure was done three times for a total of 48 combinations. The data is analyzed using the F test and analysis of variance. Meanwhile, the BNJ test was employed at a 5% level to establish the significance of the differences between treatments. Plant height, number of leaves, weight of cobs with cobs, weight of cobs without husks, weight of wet pods, weight of dry pods, number of cobs, weight of dry shells, and weight of 100 seeds were among the parameters measured. The findings revealed that (1) goat manure had no effect on any of the observations. (2) Plant height, weight of dry stover, weight of wet stover, weight of cobs with cabbage, weight of cobs without cabbage, weight of dry shells, and weight of 100 seeds were all significantly affected by NPK fertilizer. (3) There was no significant interaction between goat manure (K) and NPK fertilizer (M) on any of the parameters. Keywords : NPK fertilizer, goat manure, sweet corn

Abstract

This study aimed was to find an integrated technology to obtain optimum spacing and effective weed control on various varieties based on the peanut yield approach. The design used was a Completely Randomized Block Design arranged in a factorial manner, consisting of 3 factors: Factor 1, plant spacing of 30 x 10 cm, and 40 x 10 cm. The second factor was the type of weed control, which was weeded twice at 21 and 42 days after planting, and the use of the herbicide glyphosate 1.44 kg b.a per hectare. The third factor is the variety of peanuts, namely the Jepara, Kelinci, and Panter varieties. All treatments were repeated 3 times. The data obtained were analyzed by analysis of variance and continued with Duncan's Multiple Distance Test with a significant level of 5%. The results showed that the independent spacing treatment significantly affected all observed parameters. The weed control significantly affected all parameters except seed weight per plot, and varieties treatment significantly affected all parameters except the dry weight of the stover. Interaction between planting distance and weeding type had a significant effect on all observation parameters except the dry weight of the stover.

Abstract

Kaffir lime leaves are often used as a flavoring. In addition to being used as a flavoring, kaffir lime leaves are known to be used as antimicrobials. Fresh milk has a high nutritional value, so good for the growth of pathogenic microbes. Therefore, treatment is needed on fresh milk by adding of kaffir lime leaves ethanol extract which containing active compounds to inhibit the growth of pathogenic microbes. The purpose of this research is to know the ability of kaffir lime leaves ethanol extract to inhibit E. coli and Salmonella sp. on fresh milk. This research uses explorative method with 2 factors. The first factor was concentration of kaffir lime leaves ethanol extract (20, 10, 5, and 2,5 g/ml), while the second factor was incubation time (0, 1, 2, and 3 hours). Analysis of this research include Total Plate Count (TPC) and calculation of count of E. coli and Salmonella sp. The results showed that the kaffir lime leaves ethanol extract able to inhibit the growth of E. coli and Salmonella sp. in fresh milk. Growth of E. coli and Salmonella sp. decreased significantly with increasing concentrations of kaffir lime leaves ethanol extract and incubation time.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mendapatkan informasi pengaruh dosis pupuk kandang ayam dan macam bibit terhadap kerusakan umbi oleh hama boleng pada tanaman ubi jalar. Penelitian dilakukan di dusun Tegalrejo desa Kuto kecamatan Kerjo kab.Karanganyar mulai bulan Maret 2019 sampai denga bulan Juni 2019. Penelitian disusun menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap (RAKL) faktorial, terdiri dari dua faktor perlakuan yaitu macam bibit ( B1 bibit bagian pucuk 25 cm, B2 bibit bagian batang 25 cm) dan dosis pupuk kandang ayam (0, 11,25, 21,25, 31,25, 41,25 gr per tanaman ) masing - masing kombinasi perlakuan diulang tiga kali.. Parameter yang diamati adalah intensitas serangan hama, jumlah umbi sehat pertanaman,jumlah umbi boleng pertanaman , berat segar umbi pertanaman dan berat segar umbi boleng pertanaman. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan dosis pupuk kandang ayam , perlakuan macam bibit dan interaksinya tidak memberikan pengaruh nyata pada semua parameter yang diamati.Kata kunci : dosis, pupuk kandang ayam, macam bibit dan ubi jalar

Abstract

The aim of this program to transfer the technology for making vegetable pesticides that can be used by the community directly by making vegetable pesticides from plants that are easily available to the environment, made and used by the community. The targets of this program are the people of Wonorejo Village, especially RW I, who tend to use high synthetic pesticides in controlling pests (plant pests) in horticultural crops. The expected target after this program is that target partners are able to independently make vegetable pesticides by utilizing local plants around them and applying them directly to their agricultural land the Using of local plants as vegetable pesticides will be able to reduce agricultural production costs which have an impact on increasing farmers' income. will reduce the use of synthetic pesticides and save the environment, as well as increase the economic value of crops and in the future will increase income for farmers/ communities, which in turn can improve the welfare of the community. The methods used to achieve the targets in this program are 1) Counseling/lectures, practice, and coaching. The materials included introducing vegetable pesticides and some plants that can be used as sources of vegetable pesticides and the impact of using synthetic pesticides in the long term and some cases of resistance 2). Direct practice on how to manufacture vegetable pesticides and their use. The implementation of activities is carried out in the following stages: preparation (coordination with community leaders and related agencies who assist) implementation includes socialization, training, and manufacture of vegetable pesticides, the practice of making vegetable pesticides, coaching with direct application assistance activities in the field.

Abstract

Increasing soybean production is still experiencing many obstacles. Senting village farmers, Sambi sub-district, Boyolali district, used to grow soybeans with seeds purchased from local village markets of poor quality. Given that the importance of seeds in influencing soybean yields, farmers need to be supported the help of superior seeds. The seeds for farmers' help are intended to show that new varieties of soybeans will produce higher yields. Community service is complemented by training in making soymilk for PKK mothers in the local village. The output of community service in 2019 is expected to be able to show an increase in crop yields and be useful for mothers to generate ideas and be brave in developing soy milk. Students who help this service are expected to learn directly from the community and also on soybean farms.
