Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe explanatory text learning based on the 2013 curriculum for class VIII students of SMP Negeri 8 Surakarta. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The results showed that the teacher had carried out three stages in learning, namely planning, implementing, and assessing learning. In the lesson plan, it is stated in the lesson plan (RPP) that is used by the teacher by following the RPP curriculum 2013 format. In implementing the learning process, it was found that some of the teacher's activities had fulfilled the concept of learning in the 2013 curriculum, namely apperception activities, core activities, and closing activities. In the assessment of learning to compile explanatory text, it appears that the teacher only assesses aspects of knowledge, namely students are given the task of compiling explanatory text individually.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and explain (1) the form of local wisdom in the novel Dawuk by Mahfud Ikhwan; and (2) the relevance of Mahfud Ihkwan's Dawuk novel as a literature learning material in high school. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using a literary anthropology approach. The anthropological approach to literature is used to analyze the form of local wisdom in the novel Dawuk. The sampling technique is done using purposive sampling. Data collection techniques are carried out by content analysis or documents and interviews. The data analysis technique in this study uses an interactive analysis model. The results of this study indicate that: (1) the form of local wisdom in the Dawuk novel includes life tools, livelihoods, social systems, language systems, arts, knowledge systems, and religious systems; and (2) Dawuk's novel by Mahfud Ikhwan is relevant as literature learning material in high school for class XII with basic competencies (KD), among others: (a) interpreting the author's view of life in a novel that is read; and (b) analyze the content and language of the novel. Novel Dawuk is also relevant because it has fulfilled three novel selection criteria, namely language, student psychology, and student cultural background.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the use of euphemism and dysphemism in the Solopos newspaper headlines as Indonesian teaching material in junior high schools. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with content analysis method. The data source used was the headline of the December 2019 edition of the Solopos newspaper, which contained expressions of euphemism and dysphemism. The data analysis technique used is the flow analysis model. Data validity test used is theory triangulation, data source triangulation, and informant review. Data collection techniques used were document analysis and in-depth interviews. informants in this study were Indonesian Language teachers and junior high school students. The results of this study indicate that the use of the main news rubric in the Solopos newspaper can be used as teaching material for writing news texts using one of the two stay two stray learning models.

Abstract

This research is a quantitative research that aims to describe about the correlation between effective sentence mastery and reading habit of printed mass media with news text writing skills independent or together. The method used is correlational survey. The sample in this study is 126 students or 28% from the total population of 446 students. Thesample determined by cluster random sampling technique. Research data were obtained through three instruments (1) test of news text writing skills; (2) effective sentence mastery test; and(3) questionnaire of reading habit of printed mass media. Data analysis technique used is product moment correlation (simple and double) and regression. The result of this research show effective sentences mastery (X1) and reading habit of printed mass media (X2) together contributes 48% to news text writing skills (Y).

Abstract

This study aims to describe and explain (1) the intrinsic element of novel Rantau 1 Muara by Ahmad Fuadi, (2) the emotional condition of the character depicted in the novel Rantau 1 Muara by Ahmad Fuadi according to Sigmund Freud’s theory, (3) the values of character education contained in the novel Rantau 1 Muara by Ahmad Fuadi, (4) the relevancy of novel Rantau 1 Muara by Ahmad Fuadi as a teaching material for literary appreciation class in Senior High School level. This study used a descriptive qualitative method with literary psychology approach. Data collection was carried out with document analysis techniques and indept interviews. The validity data test has been done using triangulation theory technique and data triangulation. The analysis of data was conducted using flow analysis i.e, the data reduction, data presentation, and conclutions determination. The results of the study are (1) the intrinsic elements that build the novel Rantau 1 Muara are theme, characterizations, plot, settings, and author’s point of view; (2) the emotional  conditions experienced by characters in the novel Rantau 1 Muara are influenced by three elements i.e, id, ego, and superego; (3) the value of character education that contained in the novel Rantau 1 Muara there are 13 values including religious, honest, tolerance, discipline, hardwork, independent, curiosity, spirit of nationality, love the country, friendly/ communicate, like reading, concern to social issue, and responsibly; (4) novel Rantau 1 Muara can be used as an alternative teaching material of literary appreciation class in Senior High School level.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe and explain: (1) intrinsic element of novel Bidadari Bermata Bening; (2) psychological burden of the main character; (3) character education values; (4) the position of novel Bidadari Eye Bening by Habiburrahman El-Shirazy in Indonesian Language Learning perspective. This research was conducted by qualitative descriptive method and using psychology approach of literature. The results of this study indicate that: (1) each element of the novel has relevance with other elements so as to make the story coherent. (2) psychological analysis for the psychological burden of the main character using Sigmund Freud's theory of analysis which includes the three elements of personality namely id, ego, and superego. (3) the values of character education contained in the novel include religious, honest, tolerance, discipline, hard work, creative, independent, curiosity, respectful achievement, friendly / communicative, peace loving, social caring, and responsibility. (4) novel Bidadari Bermata Bening by Habiburrahman El Shirazy can be used as Learning material of Bahasa Indonesia.

Abstract

The aims of this research is to describe and to explain: (1) the structure of the novel Kenanga by Oka Rusmini; (2) the form of the gender inequity that happen with the women characteristic in novel Kenanga by Oka Rusmini; (3) the form of the culture rebellion of women characteristic in novel Kenanga by Oka Rusmini; (4) the relevancies of novel Kenanga by Oka Rusmini as bahasa Indonesia teaching materials in SMA. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. Technique of data validity was using triangulation methode. Technique of data analysis was using flow analysis. The result of the study show that: (1) the structure of the novel Kenanga by Oka Rusmini contains theme, plot, figures, setting, and moral value; (2) the form of the gender inequity in novel Kenanga by Oka Rusmini is in the form of determining and choosing women’s life that it is belief not equitable; (3) the form of the culture rebellion by women characteristic in novel Kenanga by Oka Rusmini is the desire to live freely without any rules of the tradition and culture; (5) there is relevance of the novel Kenanga by Oka Rusmini as bahasa Indonesia teaching materials in SMA.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk gaya bahasa yang digunakan oleh Ganjar Pranowo dalam daftar putar Ruang Ganjar. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskripstif kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis isi. Sumber data yang digunakan ialah tuturan Ganjar Pranowo dalam daftar putar Ruang Ganjar di kanal Youtube Ganjar Pranowo. Teknik sampling yang digunakan pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik simak catat dan wawancara. Uji validitas pada penelitian ini menggunkan triangulasi teori dan triangulasi sumber data. Analisis data yang digunakan ialah teknik analisis data mengalir oleh Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa bentuk gaya bahasa Ganjar Pranowo memiliki kecenderungan gaya bahasa yang digunakan Ganjar Pranowo bertujuan untuk menjangkau seluruh kalangan, dari kaum terpelajar hingga kaum yang tidak mengenyam pendidikan. Oleh karena itu, penggunaan bahasanya menggunakan bahasa yang runtut, mudah dipahami, dan tidak banyak menggunakan majas atau ungkapan yang sulit ditangkap maknanya. Selain itu, Ganjar Pranowo menempatkan dirinya seolah-olah berada didekat masyarakat dengan penggunaan kata-kata percakapan yang membuat suasana menjadi lebih hangat, dekat, dan akrab.  Kata kunci: gaya bahasa, ruang ganjar, ganjar pranowo

Abstract

This study aims to classify and explain the spelling aspects of a collection of shortstories by students of SMP IT Nurul Islah. The object of research, namely the analysis of spellingerrors in a collection of short stories by students of SMP IT Nurul Islah.The method used in this research is descriptive analysis method. The analysis in thisstudy is based on PUEBI. The error aspects analyzed include the use of capital letters, the use ofpronouns, the use of conjunctions, the use of prepositions, the use of loan words, and the use ofpunctuation marks.The number of errors in short stories written by students is as follows: 16 errors in theuse of capital letters, 5 errors in the use of pronouns, 15 uses of conjunctions, 15 uses ofprepositions, 2 uses of absorption words, and 11 uses of punctuation marks.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Sebagai penyalur berita ke masyarakat, Suara.com juga tidak luput dari kesalahan berbahasa dalam menulis dan menyiarkan berita. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesalahan morfologi yang terdapat pada artikel surat kabar online Suara.com. Sumber data yang digunakan sebagai objek analisis menggunakan sumber data dari portal berita online Suara.com. Di dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode analisis isi untuk menganalisis kesalahan morfologi. Teknik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah membaca dan menulis. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah analisis kesalahan berbahasa dalam bidang morfologi meliputi: 1.) Kesalahan penggunaan afiksasi, 2.) Penulisan kata baku, 3.) Afiksasi yang tidak luluh, 4.) Kata majemuk, dan 5.) Proses reduplikasi. Kata Kunci: Analisis kesalahan berbahasa, Morfologi, Suara.com ABSTRACT As a distributor of news to the public, Suara.com is also not free from language errors in writing and broadcasting news. This study aims to analyze the morphological errors found in Suara.com online newspaper articles. The data source used for object analysis is the data source from the online news portal Suara.com. In this study, a qualitative approach and content analysis methods were used to analyze morphological errors. The technique used in this research is reading and writing. The results of this study are the analysis of language errors in the field of morphology including: 1.) errors in using affixation, 2.) writing standard words, 3.) affixation that does not melt, 4.) compound words, and 5.) reduplication process.
