Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa, keterlaksanaan model Discovery Learning dengan pendekatan kontekstual, dan karakter kreatif belajar siswa setelah diterapkan model Discovery Learning dengan pendekatan kontekstual pada materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 7 Singkawang pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2021/2022. Adapun sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII A dan VIII C. Jenis dan desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain Quasi Experimental pada bentuk The Nonequivalent Pretest Posttest Control Group Design. Untuk teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah uji N-gain, uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji mann whitey u-test, persentase keterlaksanaan, dan persentase karakter kreatif siswa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa: 1) terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang menggunakan model Discovery Learning dengan pendekatan kontekstual lebih baik dari pada model pembelajaran langsung, 2) pada pembelajaran yang menggunakan model Discovery Learning dengan pendekatan kontekstual dapat terlaksana dengan baik, dan 3) karakter kreatif belajar siswa tergolong tinggi setelah diterapkannya model Discovery Learning dengan pendekatan kontekstual.

Abstract

Teacher creativity in the learning process has a central role in helping increase students' interest in learning. Through creative and fun teaching methods, it is hoped that teachers can help increase students' interest in learning at school. Interest in learning is important to encourage students to be more active and active in achieving their learning goals. This research aims to determine the relationship between teacher creativity and the learning interest of class V students at SDN 82 Singkawang. The population in this study was 47 students, namely students in classes Va and Vb. Meanwhile, the sample is the total number of the population, namely 47 students. The sampling technique uses saturated samples or total sampling. Research data was obtained using a questionnaire. The results of data analysis show that there is no relationship between teacher creativity and student interest in learning. This can be seen from the correlation hypothesis test which shows that the normality of the teacher creativity questionnaire and the student interest questionnaire are not normally distributed with the decision of a sig value smaller than 0.05, namely 0.00 < 0.05, meaning that the data obtained is not normally distributed. Judging from the calculation results of the data from the two questionnaires which were not normally distributed, the researcher calculated using the Spearman Rank correlation analysis technique with results of 0.203 > 0.05 with a significance level of a= 0.05 with the number of students (n)= 47 students, then Ho was accepted, meaning that there was no significant relationship between variables X (teacher creativity) and Y (interest in learning) with a very low level of relationship. Therefore, the research results show that there is no significant relationship between teacher creativity and the learning interest of class V students at SDN 82 Singkawang.

Abstract

In the educational world, the challenge of some universities is to create graduates who are competent in their field. One of the competencies required of graduates of Mathematics Education in STKIP Singkawang is skills in solving math problems correctly and appropriately. According to reality on the ground, there are many students turned out to have any errors in problem-solving algebra. This is because the material Algebra is one area of Mathematics, that is considered difficult. The purpose of this study is to describe and identify errors Algebra students work on the problems and the factors that affect the mistakes made. The results obtained student errors relating to the algebraic concepts of 17.5%, the error associated with the error count of 25.9%, an error in the algorithm deviation of 8.76%, a typing error and the use of the mark by 5.13%, to answer any error of 1.7%, a matter which was not finished at 21.2% and answer questions that are not answered at all by 10.3%. Internal factors affecting the students make mistakes in solving algebra include the physical and psychological factors, but external factors include family and community environment factors.

Abstract

Many students tend to give up easily when faced with Mathematics lessons. This has an impact on less than optimal learning outcomes. One of the main causes is the low self-confidence of students in understanding and solving mathematics problems, so they are afraid of failing and reluctant to try. Lack of self-confidence in their own abilities makes students unmotivated to learn optimally. Therefore, this study aims to determine whether there is an influence and difference in learning outcomes and emotional intelligence of students taught with the PBL model and the contextual model and how it is implemented at SDIT Nurul Islam Singkawang. This study uses a quantitative approach involving grade V students. Data collection was carried out through pretest, posttest and questionnaire questions. The results of this study indicate that differences in student learning outcomes are caused by PBL steps that have a positive influence by placing students as active subjects of learning, while differences in students' emotional intelligence are caused by the PBL model which provides space for students to express themselves and provide influence because the characteristics of PBL are in line with indicators of emotional intelligence.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the word square type learning model using LKPD media assisted by Canva on the ability to understand social studies concepts for class IV students. This research was carried out at SD Negeri 92 Singkawang. The type of research used is quantitative with a pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest design method. The design used is in the form of pretest-posttest. The population used was all fourth grade students at SD Negeri 92 Singkawang with a sampling technique in the form of a saturated sample (total sampling). This research was conducted in one class of 29 people, where the class was a pretest class and also a posttest class). The pretest class is students who are taught conventionally, while the posttest class is students who are taught with a word square type learning model using LKPD media assisted by Canva. The results of the research can be concluded that: (1) There is an increase in the ability to understand social studies concepts for class IV students at SDN 92 Singkawang by implementing the word square type learning model using LKPD media assisted by Canva. The N-Gain result was 0.55 with medium criteria. (2) After implementing the word square type learning model using LKPD media assisted by Canva on the ability to understand social studies concepts for class IV students at SDN 92 Singkawang, students who experienced individual and classical completeness. (3) Student responses show that on average students gave a positive response to learning with the word square type learning model using LKPD media assisted by Canva on the ability to understand concepts in social studies subjects with an overall average of 66.37% with positive criteria. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran tipe word square menggunakan media LKPD berbantuan canva terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep IPS siswa kelas IV. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SD Negeri 92 Singkawang. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kuantitatif dengan metode pre eksperimen one group pretest-posttest design. Desain yang digunakan adalah dalam bentuk pretest-posttes. Populasi yang digunakan adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 92 Singkawang dengan Teknik pengambilan sampel berupa sampel jenuh (total sampling). Penelitian ini dilakukan pada satu kelas yang berjumlah 29 orang yang mana kelas tersebut menjadi kelas pretest dan juga kelas posttest). Kelas pretest merupakan siswa yang diajarkan secara konvensional sedangkan kelas posttest merupakan siswa yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran tipe word square menggunakan media LKPD berbantuan canva. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa : (1) Terdapat peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep IPS siswa kelas IV di SDN 92 Singkawang dengan penerapan model pembelajaran tipe word square menggunakan media LKPD berbantuan canva didapat hasil N-Gain sebesar 0,55 dengan kriteria sedang. (2) Setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran tipe word square menggunakan media LKPD berbantuan canva terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep IPS siswa kelas IV SDN 92 Singkawang siswa yang mengalami ketuntasan individual dan ketuntasan klasikal. (3) Respon siswa menunjukan bahwa rata-rata siswa memberikan respon positif terhadap pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran tipe word square menggunakan media LKPD berbantuan canva terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep pada mata pelajaran IPS dengan rata-rata keseluruhan sebesar 66,37% dengan kriteria positif.

Abstract

This research aims to describe students' initial reading abilities using the Whole Language Reading Aloud model for class II students at SDN 94 Singkawang and to describe the implementation of the use of the Whole Language Reading Aloud model in Indonesian language learning in class II at SDN 94 Singkawang. The type of research is qualitative with descriptive methods. The subjects and objects in this research were the Indonesian language teacher as the subject, and all class II students at SDN 94 Singkawang, totaling 30 students, as the object. Data collection techniques are test, observation, interview and documentation techniques with data collection tools in the form of initial reading ability test sheets, observation sheets and interview sheets. Data analysis techniques are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research are: 1) the initial reading ability of class II students at SDN 94 Singkawang using the reading aloud method is in the good category, reaching a percentage of 80%. 2) the implementation of the use of the whole language reading aloud type model in Indonesian language learning in Class IIA SDN 94 Singkawang which is carried out with learning steps and is effective in improving Indonesian language learning activities, especially towards beginning reading abilities. Based on the research results, it was concluded that the use of the reading aloud method on students' initial reading abilities in Class IIA SDN 94 Singkawang was effective in improving Indonesian language learning activities, especially on initial reading abilities.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low level of achievement in mathematics learning of students based on the results of the odd semester Final Assessment (PAS) for the 2023-2024 school year, where 50% of students did not reach the minimum score (KKM). This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between learning concentration and mathematics achievement of fourth-graders at SDN 1 Singkawang. The research method used is correlational research with a quantitative approach. The object of this research is 77 fourth-graders at SDN 1 Singkawang. Data collection was carried out using student learning concentration questionnaires and documentation of student mathematics report scores for the 2023/2024 school year. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, testing the requirements of the analysis using normality tests with the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test formula and linearity tests. Hypothesis testing was carried out using the Pearson Product Moment correlation test. The results of the analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between learning concentration and mathematics achievement of fourth-graders at SDN 1 Singkawang, which was indicated by a correlation value of 0.51, which means it has a sufficient criterion based on the level of correlation, so that the relationship is not too strong. Learning concentration is one of the factors that influences students' mathematics achievement, with a contribution of 25.63%. This is indicated by the value of the coefficient of determination (KD) of 25.63%, which means that the magnitude of the relationship between learning concentration and students' mathematics achievement is 25.63%.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low level of achievement of students' mathematics learning mastery, which based on student learning outcomes did not reach the KKM score. This research aims to describe the relationship between learning motivation and learning independence with mathematics learning outcomes; 2) knowing the achievement of learning outcomes in differentiated learning can help students achieve the minimum completeness criteria (KKM). This research method is correlation research with a quantitative approach. The research population was all fourth grade students at SDN 27 Singkawang. The sample in this research was class IV A students at SDN 27 Singkawang, totaling 29 students. Data was obtained through learning outcomes test instruments as well as questionnaires on student learning motivation and learning independence. The data analysis techniques used are Pearson product moment correlation, multiple correlation, and one sample t-test. The results of the research show that 1) There is a relationship between learning motivation and student learning outcomes, obtained by the Pearson product moment correlation coefficient of 0.783 which is in the strong relationship category. 2) There is a relationship between learning independence and student mathematics learning outcomes obtained by the Pearson product moment correlation coefficient. amounting to 0.902 which is in the strong relationship category. 3) There is a relationship between learning motivation and learning independence and student learning outcomes, resulting in a multiple correlation coefficient of 0.906 which is in the relationship category. 4) From the results of calculating student learning outcomes data, the coefficient results are one sample t-test with Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) = 0.000, then 0.000 < 0.05 so it can be concluded that the ability to understand concepts in differentiated learning can help class IV A students at SDN 27 Singkawang achieve the minimum completeness criteria (KKM).

Abstract

Numeracy literacy ability is one of the important abilities for students to have. One of the factors that influence numeracy literacy ability is students' learning initiative and learning independence. This study aims to: 1) describe numeracy literacy ability based on AKM questions based on the level of learning independence of grade V students of SD Negeri 17 Rantau; 2) describe the factors that influence numeracy literacy ability based on AKM questions based on the learning independence of grade V students of SD Negeri 17 Rantau. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The subjects of this study were 18 grade V students of SD Negeri 17 Rantau. The object of this study is numeracy literacy ability based on AKM questions based on the level of learning independence. Data collection techniques in this study used numeracy literacy ability tests, learning independence questionnaires, and interviews. The results of the study obtained were 1) numeracy literacy skills based on AKM questions based on the level of learning independence, namely, (a) students with a high learning independence category are quite capable of meeting the three indicators of numeracy literacy skills well, and have an average score of 69.25 with moderate criteria; (b) students with a moderate learning independence category are quite capable of meeting the three indicators of numeracy literacy skills well, and have an average score of 58.87 with moderate criteria; (c) students with a low learning independence category are only able to meet the first indicator, namely solving problems in the context of everyday life, but have not been able to analyze information, and have not been able to interpret the results of the analysis to make decisions well, and have an average score of 47.83 with low criteria. 2) factors that influence numeracy literacy skills based on AKM questions based on student learning independence are from the students themselves, including the level of learning motivation, interest, student intellectuality, independence, and concentration.
