Abstract

This article aims to reveal the Arabic learning experience for visually impaired students in State Islamic Universities in Indonesia, including challenges faced by students, the advantages associated with them, and the opportunities from learning aspects. The researcher applied the descriptive method with the phenomenological qualitative approach. The observation, documentation, and in-depth interview are used to collect the data then analyzed qualitatively with Miles and Huberman's theory. The finding of this study shows the diversity of Arabic learning experiences for visually impaired students in Indonesia, which are influenced by the differences in educational and social background. Visually impaired students learned Arabic with constructivism and a collaborative approach. The challenges faced by students are the limited learning resources, including materials and media that can be accessed independently. The writer highlights the positive vibes of this case with the advantages associated with visually impaired students who are concerned with language generally as a primary means to connect with the world around them. They also have ultimate second language attainment, curiosity, and good language behavior to connect with their surrounding. In addition, they have an excellent intrinsic motivation in learning Arabic for religious reasons. Besides that, there are some great opportunities for them to get scholarships and good jobs as government workers.

Abstract

Abstract

This article investigated the feasibility of Arabic textbooks based on BSNP standards and the textbook preparation principles of Dr. Abdullah al-Gali and Dr. Abdul Hamid Abdullah. The background of this research stems from the importance of textbooks as the main medium in the learning process, directly influencing the quality of educational outcomes. A qualitative descriptive method was employed through literature review and document analysis. The primary data source was the Arabic textbook for grade X published by the Muhammadiyah Secondary and Primary Education Council, supported by relevant secondary documents. The findings showed that the textbook met the BSNP standards in terms of content, presentation, language, and graphic feasibility. It also aligned with the cultural, psychological, educational, and linguistic principles of textbook development. However, several issues were identified, such as punctuation errors and illustrations that were not fully appropriate. This research contributes to improving Arabic textbook quality and offers insights for future textbook development in accordance with national standards and pedagogical principles.

Abstract

The integration of digital game media in Arabic language learning has emerged as a response to declining student engagement and increasing digital distractions in the technological era. Although numerous studies report the effectiveness of Game-Based Learning (GBL), a comprehensive structural analysis of innovation patterns and implementation constraints remains limited. This study aims to systematically map digital game media innovations in Arabic language learning from 2020–2025 and to analyze how media typology, instructional design alignment, teacher readiness, and contextual conditions interact in shaping sustainable learning outcomes. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with the PRISMA protocol, 21 selected articles from Google Scholar, Scopus, and SINTA were analyzed through thematic coding and visualization using NVivo 12. The findings revealed that the effectiveness of digital game media is not determined solely by platform type, but by the systemic alignment among technological affordances, pedagogical design, educator competence, and infrastructural support. Based on these patterns, this study proposes an integrative conceptual framework that advances structural analysis beyond platform-based evaluation and supports more sustainable implementation of digital game-based Arabic language learning.
