Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has an impact on the education sector, so technology is needed that can support the learning process, one of which is the use of e-learning. This research aims to develop and determine the validity of e-learning using Schoology based on Guided Discovery Learning (GDL) on the reaction rate material for class XI SMA or MA. The type of research used is development research using the plomp development model. The stages in the plomp model are limited to expert review and one to one evaluation, namely the prototype III. The expert review was carried out by six material expert validators and three media expert validators, while the one to one evaluation was carried out by three students with different abilities. The results of the assessment on each validity questionnaire were processed using the Aikens V formula. Based on the research results, e-learning using Schoology based on GDL model on the reaction rate material can be considered as valid. Further research is needed to determine the practicality and effectiveness of e-learning using Schoology based on GDL model.

Abstract

Presentation on the topic of Salt Hydrolysis can be started from a real problem, using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The PBL model should be able to increase students curiosity to get concepts independently. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of PBL model on salt hydrolysis lessons about the students learning outcomes in SMAN 1 Ranah Pesisir. This research is quasi experiment with non-equivalent groups post-test only design. Data are normal and homogeneous, as of hypothesis testing uses t-test is done at alpha 0.05, obtained tcount 5,2 and ttable 2,67. The result showed that the learning outcomes on salt hydrolysis lessons between classes using PBL model are higher than conventional model in SMAN 1 Ranah Pesisir.

Abstract

Organic Chemistry lecture requires the student to be able to think critically in getting knowledge and prove the facts through experiment. The problem of this lesson is the students have different ability to receive the concepts. To overcome this matter a teaching material, like a module which can facilitate the students who cannot follow lecture well is needed. Therefore, a module which is based on the conceptual change model ED3U (Explore, Diagnose, Design, Discuss, Use) was developed with the steps that activate critical thinking and skilled which appropriate for the learning outcome in alcohol lesson. The module was validated, tested for its practicality and affectivity to ensure the quality and functionality of the module to help students gained conceptual change. The instrument used for validity and practicality test was questionnaire, while test was used for evaluating its effectiveness. The Data was analysed using Cohen Momen Kappa Formula. The result showed that the module developed was valid, practical and effective and fit the category very high with the positive result for conceptual change.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membuat penuntun praktikum sederhana bagi siswa sekolah menengah atas dan menentukan tingkat validitas, kepraktisan dan efektif dari penuntun praktikum tersebut. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Research dan Development (R&D). Model pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model Plomp yang terdiri dari tiga tahap: penelitian pendahuluan, tahap prototipe, dan tahap penilaian. Instrumen penelitian adalah kuesioner validitas, kepraktisan dan efektifitas. Panduan Praktis alternatif berbasis lingkungan divalidasi oleh 4 orang validator dan diuji kepada 17 siswa kelas XII IPA 3 SMAN 2 Bayang dan 29 siswa kelas XI IPA 4 SMAN 1 Batang Kapas tahun akademik 2017/2018. Data validitas, kepraktisan dan efektif dianalisis dengan rumus Kappa Cohen. Momen kappa validitas adalah 0,79 dengan kategori validitas tinggi. Tingkat kepraktisan kuesioner respon guru diperoleh dengan nilai 0,84 dengan kategori kepraktisan tertinggi. Berdasarkan kuesioner respon siswa, nilai momen kappa adalah 0,77 pada SMAN 2 Bayang dan 0,90 pada SMAN 1 Batang Kapas dengan kategori kepraktisan tinggi untuk uji kelompok kecil, dan nilai momen kappa adalah 0,81 pada SMAN 2 Bayang dan 0,84 di SMAN 1 Batang Kapas dengan kategori kepraktisan tertinggi dalam uji lapangan. Tingkat efektivitas kuesioner respon guru diperoleh nilai 0,89 dengan tingkat efektivitas yang sangat tinggi. Berdasarkan kuesioner respon siswa, nilai momen kappa adalah 0,76 dengan kategori efektifitas tinggi. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penuntun alternatif berbasis panduan praktis bagi siswa SMA memiliki kategori validitas tinggi, kategori kepraktisan tertinggi, kategori efektifitas tinggi dari siswa dan efektivitas tertinggi dari guru.

Abstract

Studi perbandingan aktivitas katalitik dari katalis CaO yang disintesis dari cangkang telur ayam dengan aktivator asam dan basa telah dipelajari. Aktivasi dengan basa dilakukan dengan metode impregnasi yaitu dengan memasukkan CaO kedalam larutan KOH. Aktivasi asam dilakukan dengan membuat komposit CaO dan karbon serta disulfonasi dengan asam sulfat pekat. Katalis CaO yang dihasilkan diaplikasikan dalam produksi biodisel dari minyak jelantah. Aktivitas katalitik ditentukan melalui uji produk biodisel yang dihasilkan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa katalis yang dimodifikasi melalui impregnasi basa memiliki aktivitas katalitik yang tinggi dalam mengkonversi minyak jelantah menjadi biodisel. Meskipun katalis CaO tanpa modifikasi memiliki nilai densitas, laju alir dan bilangan asam lebih baik dari CaO-A dan CaO-A/CS, kedua katalis ini masih bisa dioptimasi dalam preparasi dan aplikasinya sebagai katalis dalam produksi biodisel.

Abstract

Andrographis paniculata yang dikenal dengan tumbuhan sambiloto dilaporkan menghasilkan berbagai metabolit sekunder dengan aktivitas antibakteri. Potensi senyawa antibakteri dari tumbuhan ini dapat dikaji lebih lanjut dari jamur yang berasosiasi dengan tumbuhan sambiloto. Tujuan dari studi ini adalah menganalisis potensi jamur endofitik yang berasosiasi dengan ranting tumbuhan sambiloto. Hasil inokulasi terhadap tumbuhan sambiloto menghasilkan jamur endofitik dengan kode RS-2. Uji aktivitas antibakteri terhadap ekstrak jamur RS-2 mengindikasikan bahwa jamur RS-2 mampu menghambat pertumbuhan dua bakteri uji dengan konsentrasi 1%, 3%, dan 5%. Studi lebih lanjut terkait senyawa bioaktif yang berkontribusi dalam aktivitas antibakteri jamur RS-2 perlu dilanjutkan.

Abstract

Sambiloto is one of the plants in Acanthaceae family obtaining antibacterial compounds. Another source to identify the antibacterial compounds from sambiloto is endophytic fungus. The study aimed to observe the antibacterial activity and phytochemical constituents of the fractions of endophytic fungus isolated from sambiloto flowers (Andrographis paniculata (Burm.f.) Nees). Endophytic fungus was extracted using ethyl acetate to give the crude extract. The crude extract was fractioned by Vacuum Liquid Chromatography (VLC) using hexane-ethyl acetate as the solvents to give 17 fractions. In addition, 7 fractions were created by combining the identical stain patterns on the chromatograms. The phytochemical composition of the isolate fraction has been tested, and it was proven that it contained terpenoid and steroid components. The antibacterial activity of the 7 fractions was also examined using the disc diffusion method with a concentration of 5%. Nees)Sambiloto adalah salah satu tanaman dalam famili Acanthaceae yang dilaporkan menghasilkan senyawa antibakteri. Sumber lain untuk mengidentifikasi senyawa antibakteri dari tumbuhan sambiloto adalah jamur endofitik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengamati aktivitas antibakteri serta kandungan fitokimia dari fraksi jamur endofitik pada bunga sambiloto (Andrographis paniculata (Burm.f.) Nees). Jamur endofitik diekstraksi dengan etil asetat dan menghasilkan ekstrak pekat. Ekstrak pekat difraksinasi menggunakan metode Kromatografi Cair Vakum (KCV) menghasiilan 17 fraksi. Berdasarkan analisis noda pada kromatogram, fraksi tersebut digabungkan sehingga diperoleh tujuh fraksi. Ketujuh fraksi tersebut diuji kandungan fitokimianya yang menunjukkan positif mengandung senyawa terpenoid dan steroid. Ketujuh fraksi juga diuji aktivitas antibakteri menggunakan metode difusi cakram dengan konsentrasi ekstrak 5% . Fraksi yang bersifat semipolar lebih efektif menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri.Kata kunci: Andrographis paniculata; antibakteri; fitokimia; fraksinasi; jamur endofitik

Abstract

This research was to study about influence of increasing consentrations of areca catechu’s liquid smoke for inhibit phatogenic and food spoilage bacteria activities by using paper disc method. Variation concentration of areca catechu’s liquid smoke was use 10, 15, 20, 25, 35, 50, 75  and 100%(v/v) to inhibit Bacillus cereus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Result of this research showed maximum inhibition of areca catechu’s liquid smoke is at 100% concentration with inhibit diameter 18,3mm for Bacillus cereus and 16 mm for Pseudomonas aeruginosa. GC-MS identified important components in areca catechu’s liquid smoke as bacteria activities inhibitor are phenol derivate and acetic acid.

Abstract

Endophytic fungi are microorganisms that live in plant tissues without harming the host plant. One of the plants that have potential as a host for endophytic fungi is the flower of the bitter plant (Andrographis paniculata) which contains secondary metabolites and has biological activity. The purpose of this study was to obtain fungal isolates and identify the content of secondary metabolites and antibacterial activity. The results of the isolation of endophytic fungi produced isolates of endophytic fungi with isolate code BS. Microscopic observation of BS isolates belonging to Chrysosporium spp. The results of the phytochemical test of the ethyl acetate extract were positive for terpenoid compounds marked with a pink color and the FTIR spectrum containing a dimethyl gem group. BS extract also could inhibit the growth of all test bacteria, namely E. coli and S. aureus at concentrations of 1%, 3%, and 5%.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The 2013 curriculum emphasizes students to be active in learning independently, have the skills to think and act, be critical, independent, productive, good cooperation and communicative. One of the curriculum demands can be realized by applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in the learning process. This study aims to produce PBL-based worksheets on colloidal system materials that are valid and practical. The research implementation uses the R&D method. The development stage uses a 4D model consisting of define, design, develop and deploy which is limited to development due to time and cost limitations. The research was conducted by testing the validity and practicality of the resulting LKPD. Based on the research data obtained, 5 validators have a validity of 0.87 with a valid category. Practicality that was carried out to 3 teachers had a value of 91.67% in the very practical category and practicality to 30 students of class XI IPA had a practicality value of 88.5% in the very practical category.
