Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh self-esteem terhadap kecenderungan nomophobia pada dewasa awal di Kabupaten Karawang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif. Adapun desain penelitian ini menggunakan desain asosiatif dalam bentuk kausal. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah dewasa awal di Kabupaten Karawang dengan jumlah 150 responden. Selain itu, teknik yang digunakan dalam menentukan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan accidental sampling. Untuk mengukur variabel nomophobia peneliti menggunakan skala Nomophobia Quisioner Scale (NMP-Q) yang berjumlah 20 item dan skala yang digunakan untuk mengukur self-esteem adalah skala baku Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale (RSES) yang terdiri dari 10 item. Hasil uji hipotesis regresi linear sederhana didapatkan nilai 0,000<0,05. Artinya Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak, sehingga data tersebut menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh self-esteem terhadap kecenderungan nomophobia pada dewasa awal di Kabupaten Karawang. Adapun pengaruh self-esteem terhadap nomophobia sebesar 52,2%. Temuan dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan gambaran kepada masyarakat mengenai nomophobia, serta langkah-langkah proaktif untuk mencegah dampak negatif nomophobia terutama dikalangan dewasa awal yang menjadi kelompok paling rentan.

Abstract

Kesejahteraan psikologis adalah kondisi ideal ketika individu mampu mengalir secara utuh dalam kehidupannya serta mengaktualisasikan potensi yang dimiliki. Pada penelitian ini bertujuan untuk apakah karyawan marketing sejahtera secara psikologis di kaitkan dengan stres kerja dan resiliensi di Kabupaten Karawang. Penelitian ini di lakukan terhadap 211 responden yang merupakan karyawan marketing. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 3 skala psikologis, yaitu Ryff Psychological Well-Being Scale untuk menilai kesejahteraan psikologis, skala perceived istress scale (PSS) untuk mengukur tingkat stres kerja, serta skala CD-RISC yang telah diadaptasi oleh Yu Zhang untuk mengukur resiliensi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial, baik stres kerja maupun resiliensi berpengaruh terhadap kesejahteraan psikologis. Secara simultan menunjukan bahwa stres kerja dan resiliensi memiliki dampak terhadap kesejahteraan psikologis pada karyawan marketing di Karawang dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 0,05. Stres kerja dan resiliensi memberikan dampak sebesar 73,5% pada kesejahteraan psikologis.

Abstract

Cyberbullying diakui sebagai masalah sosial yang berpotensi mengakibatkan konsekuensi serius dan berkepanjangan bagi kehidupan seseorang. Individu yang mendapatkan cyberbullying di masa kanak-kanak atau remaja akan melakukan cyberbullying kepada orang lain di masa dewasa muda. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui peran self-esteem sebagai moderator dalam pengaruh cyberbullying victimization terhadap cyberbullying perpetration. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah individu dewasa muda yang berusia 18 sampai 25 tahun di Jawa Barat. Adapun metode sampel adalah non-probability sampling. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu dengan teknik purposive sampling. Jumlah responden dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 385 orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif, teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan skala cyberbullying dan self-esteem. Uji analisis data dengan uji regresi dan uji moderasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan nilai p = 0.001 < 0.05, Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak, artinya self-esteem berperan sebagai moderator antara cyberbullying victimization terhadap cyberbullying perpetration.

Abstract

Non-Suicide Self Injury (NSSI) or self-harm is being widely discussed and conducted by adolescents in Indonesia. This study was conducted on adolescents in Karawang using 3 measuring instruments, GDMS, DERS-18 and Father Involvement Scale. The purpose is to determine the dynamics of decision making in adolescents who have a tendency to commit NSSI. The population in this study was 116 adolescents age range 12-21 years who live in Karawang. The analysis used JASP by looking at path analysis both directly and indirectly. Decision making is divided into 5 types. The results is a direct influence of spontaneous decision making on NSSI. Showing that individuals who have a tendency to make decisions quickly and without thinking carefully are at higher risk of committing NSSI. Furthermore, emotional regulation plays an important role in mediating the influence of other decision making on NSSI. And also mediates the influence of father involvement on NSSI.

Abstract

In current society, academic procrastination has emerged as one of factors contributing to academic failure among youth. They often prioritize leisure activities over fulfilling academic responsibilities. The objective of this study is to examine the role of emotion regulation as a mediator in the relationship between internal problems, including non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI), paternal involvement, and dependent decision-making, on academic procrastination in adolescents in Karawang, West Java, Indonesia. This study used quantitative survey research design involving 148 adolescents who lived in Karawang as participants. The data collection technique was using 4 scales, there are The Self Harm Screening Inventory (SHSI), Brief Version Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale (DERS-18), Perception of Father Involvement Scale and General Decision-Making Style Questionnaire (GDMS). Research data analyzes by using JASP 0.19.1, an open-source program for statistical analysis. The results demonstrate that the relationship between NSSI and academic procrastination, father engagement and academic procrastination, and dependent decision making and academic procrastination may all be mediated by emotion regulation. Research finding indicates the potential of emotion regulation to function as a mediator in the relationship between variables and academic procrastination. Specifically, NSSI affects academic procrastination through emotion regulation as a mediator. Similarly, father involvement influences academic procrastination when emotion regulation is considered as a mediator. Lastly, dependent decision-making impacts academic procrastination if emotion regulation serves as a mediator. In conclusion, this research contributed to showed the importance of emotion regulation in explaining the reason behind academic procrastination. Especially for vulnerable youth who have less father involvement or have performed NSSI. They may not perform academic procrastination if they have high emotion regulation.

Abstract

Pada tahap perkembangan emerging adulthood, individu cenderung mengalami kerentanan terhadap quarter life crisis yang dipicu oleh dinamika pencarian jati diri, ketidakjelasan tujuan hidup, serta tekanan sosial yang menyertainya. Fokus utama studi ini adalah mengungkap kontribusi dukungan sosial dan kecerdasan emosional terhadap quarter life crisis pada emerging adulthood di Karawang. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan mengaplikasikan analisis regresi linear berganda guna menguji keterkaitan antara variabel yang menjadi fokus penelitian. Penelitian ini melibatkan 208 partisipan yang berada pada tahap emerging adulthood, berusia antara 18 hingga 25 tahun, dan bertempat tinggal di Karawang dengan teknik samplingyaitu convenience sampling dan rumus Cohen sebagai acuan jumlah minimal sampel. Instrumen penelitian yang diterapkan adalah Quarter Life Crisis Scale, Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support dan Wong and Law Emotional Intelligence Scale. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa dukungan sosial dan kecerdasan emosional berpengaruh secara negatif signifikan terhadap quarter life crisis. Kedua variabel ini memiliki kontribusi sebesar 70,5% (dukungan sosial sebesar 40,1%, kecerdasan emosional sebesar 30,4%). Dukungan sosial yang memadai dan kecerdasan emosional yang tinggi berperan sebagai faktor pelindung signifikan yang membantu individu pada fase emerging adulthoodmenghadapi tekanan, mengelola emosi, serta mengurangi risiko quarter life crisis.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of self-esteem on social media self-presentation in emerging adulthood Instagram users. The subjects of this study were men and women aged 18-25 years in Karawang Regency. The determination of the subjects was carried out using a non-probability sampling technique, especially convenience sampling, totaling 204 respondents. This study uses a quantitative method, the data collection technique in this study is using the Rosenberg Self Esteem Scale (RSES) to measure self-esteem and the Self Presentation on Facebook Questionnaire (SPFBQ) to measure self-presentation on social media. The data analysis technique used is simple regression. The results of this study show a p value = 0.447> 0.05, namely Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected, meaning that self-esteem does not have a significant effect on self-presentation. This finding indicates that self-presentation on Instagram in emerging adulthood is not influenced by self-esteem, but is likely influenced by other factors such as social pressure, peer influence, or motivation to form an ideal self-image. Therefore, further studies considering mediation or moderation variables are suggested to understand more comprehensively the relationship between self-esteem and self-presentation of social media users in this generation.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kelekatan orang tua dan kelekatan teman sebaya terhadap perilaku agresif pada siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK). Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 270 siswa berusia 15–18 tahun. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment (IPPA) untuk mengukur kelekatan, serta The Buss-Perry Aggression Questionnaire untuk mengukur perilaku agresif. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kelekatan teman sebaya memiliki pengaruh yang lebih besar terhadap perilaku agresif dibandingkan kelekatan orang tua. Secara keseluruhan, kedua variabel tersebut memberikan kontribusi sebesar 12,7% terhadap perilaku agresif, dengan kelekatan orang tua menyumbang sebesar 0,6% dan kelekatan teman sebaya sebesar 12,1%. Sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain di luar variabel yang diteliti. Kata Kunci: Kelekatan Orang Tua, Kelekatan Teman Sebaya, Perilaku Agresif, Siswa SMK  AbstractThis study aims to examine the influence of parental attachment and peer attachment on aggressive behavior among vocational high school (SMK) students. The sample consisted of 270 students aged 15–18 years. The instruments used in this study were the Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment (IPPA) to measure attachment, and the Buss-Perry Aggression Questionnaire to assess aggressive behavior. The results of the hypothesis testing indicated that peer attachment had a greater influence on aggressive behavior than parental attachment. Together, the two variables contributed 12.7% to aggressive behavior, with parental attachment accounting for 0.6% and peer attachment 12.1%. Abstract

This study aims to investigate the influence of future expectation orientation and family functioning on quarter-life crisis among young adults in Karawang Regency. The research employs a quantitative method with a causal design. Participants consist of 204 young adults aged 18 to 25 years residing in Karawang Regency, comprising 71 males and 133 females. Sampling was conducted using the convenience sampling technique. Data collection utilized three psychological scales: the Quarter Life Crisis Scale, the Education and Work Future Expectation Scale, and the Family Function Scale. Data analysis techniques included normality test, linearity test, multiple regression analysis, and categorization test. The results indicate that future expectation orientation and family functioning significantly influence quarter-life crisis among young adults in Karawang Regency. The combined influence of future expectation orientation and family functioning on quarter-life crisis is 3.9%, with the remaining variance attributed to other unexamined factors.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of loneliness and narcissistic behavior on social media addiction among emerging adults in Karawang. The method used in this study is quantitative, with a causal research design. The population in this study consists of emerging adults residing in Karawang. The sample in this study consisted of 356 respondents, calculated based on Issac Michael's formula and using convenience sampling techniques. The measurement tools used in this study were psychological scales: the UCLA Loneliness Scale v3 for loneliness, the Narcissistic Personality Inventory 16 for narcissistic behavior, and the Social Media Disorder Scale for social media addiction. Based on the results of the study, there was no significant simultaneous effect between the variables of loneliness and narcissistic behavior on social media addiction. However, partially, only the narcissistic behavior variable showed a significant effect on social media addiction, while the loneliness variable did not have a significant effect.
