Abstract

Hallyu is a term given to the spread of Korean Pop culture and triggers many people in every country to learn both Korean language and culture. With the development of Hallyu, many Indonesian teenagers, especially in Pekanbaru city, formed communities related to Kpop. Their interest in things related to Hallyu itself such as fashion, film, drama, music and culinary. Therefore it needed a place that can accommodate the interests and talents oraccommodate the activities of hallyu communities and fans in a more complex place especially in the region of Pekanbaru which functioned as a center for korean contempory culture learning and reacreation/entertament. The design of Pekanbaru Hallyu Culture Center is done by combining the function with the principle approach of deconstruction and analyze the design characteristics of Frank O. Gehry. The concept used in this design is "Wave". This concept combines the characteristics of two different types of waves. The results of the implementation of the concept of Waves in design include the forming ofbuilding, inter-functional zoning, inner space arrangement that accommodate the main function, and on the facade of buildings that apply the characteristics of two longitudinal and transverse waves according to Frank O. Abstract

The development of films in Indonesia greatly impact on the enthusiasm of the people in their interest in watching movies in cinemas. People's interest is increasing due to new trends in the world of Indonesian films, which is making sequel of the famous film and remaking some legendary films. This causes the film community as a forum for sharing knowledge about Indonesian films badly needed so that it can be a source of inspiration for filmmakers, as well as increasing the appreciation and pride in Indonesian films. Unfortunately, the growth of the film industry is not offset by the addition of cinema screens. In Pekanbaru, there are only 7 cinemas with a total of 29 screens. Likewise, the film community in Pekanbaru is still not exposed because there is no place to gather and showcase their work to the public. Therefore, a place that can support the people's needs for films is needed, in the form of cinema center as a place for recreation (cinema) and education (film community). The research methods used include field data collection, literature studies and empirical studies. The results of this study are in the form of building design as a place for film activities with the theme of active building facade as a representation of the meaning of the word cinema (derived from Greek, κίνημα) itself, i.e., the motion which also describes the dynamic structure of film.Keywords: Architecture, Cinema Center, Active Building Facade

Abstract

The Design of Craft and Culinary Creation Training Center is intended fulfillmentof self-development activities. This design purpose to accommodate and promote handicrafts and culinary typical of the region as a whole and become more independent. Various handicrafts can be promoted outside Kampar District to be known. This approach design uses of Organic Architecture. The approaches are applied partially or completely to the building. Organic architecture takes care of the environment and harmony with the tread. This approach is in accordance with the Training Center for Crafts and Culinary Manufacture which should be close to nature. The materials used for handicrafts and culinary are also materials that come from nature. Nature Building and Of the People are two of the seven basic concepts of Organic Architecture design. Merging the two led to the concept of Nature Building for The People. The Hyacinth flower is a plant that becomes a prominent thing on the site. The shape and several traits of this flower become inspiration in the design of Craft and Culinary Training Center.The floating Hyacinth flower became the inspiration of the floating building design. While the amount of six strands of flower petals transformed into six building masses plus a mass of buildings in the middle as the center. Keywords: Training, Crafts, Culinary, Organic Architecture

Abstract

Panopticon is a large circular building in which along the circle edge there are rooms and there is a watchtower in the middle. Panopticon is an embodiment of a monitoring system that has an important role to accentuate the power discipline and this knowledge is very appropriate if applied to Correctional Institutions. Correctional Institutions with the application of Panopticon not available yet in Pekanbaru, especially the Women's Correctional Institution, since the women's correctional facilities in Pekanbaru are currently hitching at the Pekanbaru Class II Special Guidance Institution. The security system applied by the panopticon architecture at the Women's Penitentiary in Pekanbaru is expected to provide direct effects such as creating an order and safe atmosphere also can maximize the role of Correctional Institutions in providing guidance in the form of resociality and reintegration along with its supervision. The method used in the design is to apply the principle of power discipline which is the main influence in the application of panopticon. The concept used is Limited Freedom. This concept is based on the function of correctional institutions as a place for fostering prisoners whose freedom are taken away during the coaching period, with a very strict administrative system without forgeting the prisoners' rights. when they are released they do not repeat their criminal acts and get a deterrent effect while in a correctional institution.Keyword: Correctional Institution, Women's Correctional Institution, Panopticon Architecture

Abstract

Body treatment has become a necessary that can not be separated from women. It because Allah has created the creatures in perfect condition, so human should be grateful. A way to begrateful is keeping and caring of herselves. Muslimah beauty center accommodates the concentrated to make a person looks interesting, beautiful, clean, and health. Muslimah beautycenter adhere to Islamic law. The method transformed akhlakul karimah into architectural form using meaning transformation. Architectural behavior aspects that be applied are privacy,territoriality and personal space. Akhlakul Karimah aspects that be applied are hijab, simplicity, giving, fairness, Ukhuwah Islamiah, and avoid unexpected view. Application of the concept iscontained in setting and circulation space. Privacy using partitions or wall, so the privacy of users can be maintained. That is to keep the views outer room into the inner room. Then, provided asimulation and demonstration space to spend the waiting time. It can influence visitors interactions with other people to keep Ukhuwah Islamiyah. Simplicity be applied with linier circulation. Giving and simplicity concept be applied with mass transformation using substractive and additive from circle, square, and triangle. Abstract

Pekanbaru city developed rapidly, becoming a place of activities that support all aspects of the emerging economies in Riau province. The existence of competition in the market to seize, resulting in the emergence of new discoveries. Competition occurs because the needs of the wider community publications. And so we need a container to hold meetings which aim to produce something that can improve a variety of sectors, whether economic, social, and political, even education and entertainment. Meeting the existing building does not stand alone, but part of the hotel buildings and large office buildings. In addition, buildings associated with the activities of the convention no one has the image of an attractive visual appearance. The problem basically is how the format of the building that can accommodate a variety of conventions, the circulatory system of the building, and application of the concept Futuristic at the convention building. The concept raised for the building of this convention is the development of futuristic elements, namely Dynamic Facades, Technological Innovation and Sustainable. The method used is modeling Futuristic forms using computer software and supported by modeling animation techniques to design a dynamic roof notching, the application of technology in the parking system, the formation of the facade that moves through the role of the sensor to the movement of the sun, and all aspects in accordance with the request Futuristic basic concepts and objectives. Designed so that the Convention Center can accommodate a variety of activities that are conventions with the circulatory system of the building are arranged for the convenience of visitors, and in accordance with the concept of futuristic buildings with elements developed, namely Dynamic Facades, Technological Innovation and Sustainable.Keywords: Convention Center, Futuristic Architecture

Abstract

Nowadays, there are still children who have not been able to have the human right in social reality. One of the solution to handle this homeless children’s problem is throught an orphanage.An orphanage of homeless children is a social welfare agencies that has a role in improving the physical, mental, social and economic of homeless children condition. To fulfill this role, thebehavior architecture approach is applied to accommodate and empower the behavior of homeless children. Behavior aspects that applied are territory, privacy, personal space especiallyin dormitory that has privacy activities by using partition, wall and glass. Cluster territory at orphanage region is close region by one way of in and out. The concept of this design is thelabyrinth, which is based on the behavior of homeless children. The labyrinth has a meaning centered with open space in the center of the region, protect is applied with clusters, complex with explorative shape, and flow with arrange every space. In addition, connection spaces are considered based on behavior of homeless children at mosque, education building, clinic, home stay, dining room, gardening area, raising area and the field with arrange proximity space in every functions.Keywords: Orphanage, Homeless Children, Behavior Architecture, labyrinth.

Abstract

Football is a sport that is highly preferred by people of all ages and all economic levels, this shows how football has a very good potential if developed properly. As one of the countries that have high interest in football, the lack of achievement of the Indonesian national team in the international arena is a problem that must be solved if one day want to see Indonesia to look up. Football School is the solution of various problems related to time and a long process to improve football coaching system in Indonesia. With the SSB is expected to produce a professional soccer player who can compete in the international arena. Bangkinang as one of the cities that have a lot of young talent and high interest will be football should play an active role in improving the football coaching system in Indonesia. In designing this SSB, tropical architecture approach is used to address a variety of issues related to climate conditions that affect the site. Some of Tropical Architecture principles applied in the design, such as: (1) orientation of the building; (2) Optimizing the shape of the stage; (3) Percentage of green spaces; (4) responsive to environmental conditions. Shoot On Target concept was chosen to solve the various problems that arose during the design process this Soccer School. This concept is applied in all aspects of the architectural design of this SSB, such as: order of mass, mass formation, landscape and interior arrangement, up to building facades. Order mass that has movement, a simple mass formation, structuring landscape and an attractive interior and facade are adapted to environmental conditions is the result of applying the concept of Shoot On Target in the design Football School in Bangkinang.Keyword: Football School, Tropical Architecture, Shoot On Target.

Abstract

The development of Korean culture that continues to expand to various countries in the world is causing greater interest in Korean culture. Activities related to Korean culture, both traditional and popular, requires centralized facilities. The Korean Cultural Center is a cultural facility that accommodates activities to finds information, and learns and promotes Korean culture in an area. The Korean Cultural Center that introduces Korean culture should reflect the characteristics of Korean culture it self. As well as the characteristics of Neo vernacular architecture transforming the value of traditional culture into the concepts of its design. This design aims to support activities that increase cultural values that are educative, recreational and informative. Design methods used include original data collection, studies and empirical studies library. The result of the design is building as a cultural center that consists of 3 main functions, thait is entrance zone, exhibition zone, and education zone so that it is able to meet the needs of the Korea culture connoisseur in Pekanbaru.Keywords: Cultural Center, Korean, Neo Vernacular

Abstract

Beauty Center is a place where women can perform body care from head to toe. The beauty center has four main facilities Beauty Plaza, where visitors can buy all kinds of beauty care products, Beauty Center is the place to toe treatment, Beauty Gallery isefforts to maintain health, beauty from inside and outside, freshness and relaxation to balance the body, mind and soul (mind, body & spirit) both with a source of minerals, massages, aromatherapy and herbs, as well as Beauty Clinic is beauty services by focusing on service health. This method uses the theme of organic architecture of Frank Lloyd Wringht as a form of architecture of buildings that can be fused and friendly to the natural surroundings so as to provide comfort and relaxation to visitors. As a result of this design to apply the concept Refresh, so that visitors can indulge, relax yourself from everyday activities that create stress and pressure so as to beautify themselves from the outside and the inside.
