Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of biomechanics in preventing injuries in karate athletes through a systematic review. The research method follows the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) framework with a literature search in the Science Direct database, Google Scholar, and the use of tools such as VOSviewer and Publish or Perish. Studies that met the inclusion criteria (10 articles) were analyzed to identify injury patterns, biomechanical factors, and prevention strategies. The results showed that the most common injuries in karate athletes were contusions, calf muscle strains, and finger sprains, which were related to force distribution, extreme joint angles, and postural control. Biomechanical analysis (motion capture, EMG, force plate) proved that technique correction, proprioception training, stabilizing muscle strengthening, and balance training could reduce the risk of injury by up to 20%. Significant differences were found between novice and elite athletes in terms of movement consistency and neuromuscular control. The integration of biomechanical principles with karate philosophy (mushin, zanshin, kime) was also emphasized to maintain a balance between performance and cultural values. Limitations of the study include heterogeneity of measurement instruments and potential publication bias. Future recommendations include longitudinal studies, development of portable devices (IMUs), and personalization of training programs based on individual biomechanical profiles

Abstract

Supporter fanaticism is a social phenomenon commonly found in the world of sports and can have both positive and negative impacts. This study aims to examine the relationship between supporter fanaticism and aggressive behavior in the context of sports through a sociological approach. The method used is a literature review by analyzing relevant scientific articles, books, and research reports. The findings indicate that supporter fanaticism often stems from a strong collective identity, which under certain conditions can lead to aggressive behavior, both verbal and physical. Factors such as extreme group identification, inter-group provocation, and socio-cultural conditions contribute to the potential for aggression. This study provides implications for supporter management in sports, particularly in creating a safe and healthy match atmosphere. A sociological approach helps to understand supporter group dynamics more holistically and serves as a foundation for formulating preventive policies against violence in sports.

Football is a sport that has the highest number of enthusiasts in the world from various circles. Achievements can be achieved through internal factors including athletes, coaches, administrators and external factors, including parental support. This research was motivated because there has been no research on Persepam Achievement Development based on SWOT analysis. The research was conducted to present the results of the analysis related to Persepam Pamekasan achievement development in order to improve the quality of the club, maximize existing support and minimize deficiencies and sources of threats that can hinder the Persepam Pamekasan achievement development program. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with a research target of 3 informants, namely administrators, coaches, and athletes. Data was obtained through interviews and documentation. This research produced several findings, including: (1) The most prominent strengths include: having quality coaches and potential athletes, and having effective and efficient governance. (2) The most influential weaknesses include minimal financial needs and inadequate facilities and infrastructure. (3) The most important opportunities include having many sources of support, such as athlete families, community enthusiasm and support from supporters, and developments that can be maximized. (4) The most feared threats include: not having a sponsor yet and the rapid development of other clubs. Alternative strategies that can be applied include: (1) immediately submitting a proposal to the company, (2) managing expenses and utilizing developments as best as possible, (3) optimizing available facilities, (4) increasing player potential, and (5) maintaining communication.

Abstract

Taekwondo is a martial arts sport that requires a combination of technique, tactics, and optimal physical condition to support athletes' performance. In the kyorugi category, components of physical conditions such as strength, speed, endurance, flexibility, and explosiveness are elements in determining the success of athletes in competitions. many athletes have not reached maximum performance due to the lack of targeted physical condition development. This study aims to analyze the needs of the physical condition components of taekwondo athletes in the kyorugi category in the Gresik Regency team. The research method used is an ex-post facto with a descriptive approach. The research subjects consisted of 8 athletes, athletes with measurements including sit-up, abdominal rollers, single leg squats, splits, standing broad jumps, and multistage fitness tests. The results showed that physical components such as speed, abdominal muscle strength, leg strength, muscle explosiveness, core strength, and endurance had a significant influence on athlete performance. flexibility was not found to be the main distinguishing factor between medal-winning and non-medal-winning athletes. Abstract

The goal in playing handball is to put the ball into the opponent's goal as much as possible and concede fewer goals. This study aims to find out how big the success and failure rate of shooting techniques is and what shooting areas or positions are most often used for shooting in the 2023 IHF World Championship final match. This study is a type of quantitative descriptive research, with an approach through match video analysis which is presented in the form of numerical data to find out how big the success and failure rate of shooting is and what shooting techniques are used. The subjects in this study were the Danish and French teams playing in the 2023 IHF World Championship final match. The results showed that the number of successful shots from the Danish team was 34 times while for France it was 29 times with a percentage of 62.96% and 50.87% successful shooting using the jump shoot technique 20 times with a percentage of 65% for Denmark, while for France the flying shoot technique was most often used, namely 22 times and a percentage of 59.09%. The number of shooting failures from the Danish team was 20 times with a percentage of 37.03% while for France it was 28 times with a percentage of 49.12%, shooting failures using the jump shoot technique were 7 times with a percentage of 35% for Denmark, while for France the failure using the flying shoot shooting technique was 9 times with a percentage of 40.90%. The most frequently used shooting area from both teams was the front area, successful shooting for Denmark 18 times with a percentage of 64% and France 18 times with a percentage of 56%, failed shooting from the front area of the Danish team was 10 times with a percentage of 36% while France was 14 times 44%. The results of this study are expected to be used as a reference for players and coaches to develop the right training program in order to improve the effectiveness of shooting techniques to get better results.
