Abstract

Tidak ada pendidikan yang lengkap tanpa kehadiran pendidikan jasmani; dan tidak ada pendidikan jasmani berkualitas tanpa kehadiran guru yang berkualitas. Kualitas guru diyakini sebagai faktor penting dalam pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap kualitas guru pendidikan jasmani dilihat dari kompetensi pedagogik, profesional, kepribadian, dan sosial. Selain itu juga mengungkap gambaran penggunaan waktu oleh guru, termasuk waktu yang dialokasikan untuk peningkatan profesionalisme mereka. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif secara terintegrasi. Subjek penelitiannya adalah guru-guru pendidikan jasmani tingkat Sekolah Dasar, Sekolah Menengah Pertama, dan Sekolah Menengah Atas pada tiga kota besar di Indonesia, yakni Jakarta, Surabaya, dan Padang. Sampel diambil secara purposive sampling sebanyak 36 guru, 12 guru untuk setiap kota. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) kompetensi pedagogik guru pendidikan jasmani relatif optimal dilihat dari waktu aktif belajar gerak dan angka partisipasi siswa dalam pembelajaran; sayangnya masa kerja berbanding terbalik dengan kompetensi yang dimiliki; (2) kompetensi profesional pada saat pre-service maupun in-service masih sangat kurang; (3) kompetensi kepribadian dan sosial guru relatif tinggi, sayangnya, semakin lama masa kerja semakin menurun kompetensi kepribadian dan sosialnya; (4) waktu untuk pengembangan profesionalisme masih relatif rendah, yakni antara 24-42 menit per hari. Guru dengan masa kerja rendah cenderung memanfaatkan waktu untuk pemenuhan kebutuhan dasar, sementara itu guru dengan masa kerja lama cenderung memanfaatkan waktu untuk kegiatan yang bersifat produktif. Berdasarkan temuan-temuan di atas, maka dapat direkomendasikan hal-hal sebagai berikut: (1) Penyegaran kompetensi pedagogik, profesionalisme, kepribadian, dan sosial perlu dilakukan pada guru pendidikan jasmani, terutama mereka yang memiliki masa kerja cukup lama; (2) perlu peningkatan aksesabilitas bagi para guru pendidikan jasmani untuk meningkatkan kompetensinya; (3) LPTK sebagai penyedia layanan guru perlu memperbaiki diri, baik dari sisi kurikulum maupun sistem pengajaran.

Abstract

Characters is one of the substance of physical education and sport at school. Unfortunately, until now the practice of learning by teachers is far from adequate. This research aims to uncover the root causes that include pedagogical competence of teachers in teaching character, understanding of teachers about the character, and learning practices of teachers over the years. The research uses a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods. The subjects were 55 physical education teacher, at elementary, junior and high school in Surabaya. The results showed that only 4% of lesson plan of teacher charged consistently characters ranging from the purpose, process, and evaluation. Understanding teachers on character education is relatively narrow, the character is understood more as a courtesy. Another thing that is found in this study is the practice of teaching is teacher-passive internalization, have not lead to constructive-active.

Abstract

Sports are believed to be an effective instrument to inculcate positive values for human development. Sports provide learners with space to learn tolerance, cooperation, perseverance, discipline, competitiveness, leadership, etc. However, in reality this is not always the case, which makes experts in sports education have a lot of concern. It is necessary to find a solution if there is something wrong in sports education. It seems necessary to deconstruct and reconstruct sports education at school. This article offers a sports learning model called Sport-ed. There are two theoretical frameworks as the underlying principles, namely the constructivist approach and the experiential learning. From these perspectives, sports learning is expected to organize learners experience in the meaningful interpretation of social life. Values such as honesty, tolerance, and moral should be integrated into the basic structure of learners logic. Keywords: sports, sports education, value construction

Abstract

It is known that in addition to biking and walking, many students who prefer to be taken by parents or use an online motorcycle taxi to go to school. Generally, going to school using a bicycle is an alternative means of transportation that is preferred, but because of the lack of parking lots of students who ultimately prefer to be picked up and dropped off. In addition, parenting parents who are too protective of children to require children to be picked up when going to school also indirectly have an unfavorable impact on the child's level of fitness and independence. Whereas for elementary school children, the level of fitness and independence are things that must be developed for their future survival. Children must understand the importance of physical activity and implement it in their lives. For example, children who go to school, they must be more able to think about how to move their body to get to school rather than just relying on the transfer of parents. By walking to school, will increase physical activity of children. Therefore, researchers are then interested in conducting further research. The results of this study are that there are significant differences in the fitness variable of transportation used with a significance level of 0,000 and an F value of 21,914 with a mean difference of 73,393. Walking is the most dominant factor to improve fitness compared to cycling and parents take a motorbike ride to and from school. As for the independence variable there is no significant difference in the mode of transportation used with a significance value of 0.414 with an F value of 0.890. The conclusion of the research is the use of modes of transportation to the right school can increase children's fitness. Walking is the best transportation to improve fitness then followed by cycling and parents take a ride on a motorcycle. However, to increase a significant independence, it is still not possible to use transportation mode selection because parental care is the determining factor for children's independence other than the education system in schools and the surrounding environment.

Abstract

Di sekolah proses pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani, aktivitas senam merupakan wahana untuk mengembangkan keterampilan gerak tubuh dan kebugaran jasmani. Banyak siswa yang merasa cemas untuk melakukan pembelajaran gerak guling depan dan guling belakang, sehingga hasil belajarnya tidak optimal. Tujuan dari penelitian untuk menguji relasi antara tingkat kecemasan dan hasil belajar guling dalam senam lantai. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga menguji perbedaan tingkat kecemasan dan hasil belajar guling berdasarkan gender. Sebagai subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas 7 SMP Laboratorium UNESA. Jumlah siswa yang diteliti yaitu 48 siswa, terdiri dari 29 siswa laki-laki dan 19 siswa perempuan. Data dikumpulkan dengan angket dan tes performa. Dalam penelitian menggunakan analisis korelasi dan uji T. Penelitian menunjukkan hasil tidak adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara kecemasan siswa dan hasil belajar guling dalam senam lantai, baik guling depan maupun guling belakang. Kecemasan siswa melakukan guling depan berkorelasi signifikan dengan kecemasan siswa melakukan guling belakang. Dalam melakukan guling belakang, terdapat perbedaan tingkat kecemasan antara siswa laki-laki dan siswa perempuan. Lebih cemas siswa perempuan dibandingkan siswa laki-laki. Hasil belajar guling depan siswa laki-laki lebih baik dibandingkan dengan siswa perempuan, sementara pada guling belakang tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan.

Abstract

This paper discusses human security in the context of media threat towards the society in Indonesia. Specifically this paper seeks to explain the development of media liberalization in Indonesia and the impact on civil rights in obtaining the truth information and the quest for true and reliable information. The increasing number of top businessmen owning media companies, following political and economic liberalization has been one of the most important phenomena over the past few years. The acquisition of media companies by businessman and politicians will influence indirectly the content of news reports. Finally, some radical groups have taken advantage of the free press policy to infiltrate Indonesian moderate Muslim society. Overall, media have failed to show their responsibility and seem to be far from the ethics because they are owned by businessmen, politicians and interest groups.

Abstract

This article discusses the President Joko Widodo’s poros maritim dunia or global maritime axis and the Indonesian foreign policy. This policy optimistically to strengthen Indonesia’s maritime capability and also to reviving the country as maritime super power as in the early history. Once Joko Widodo seizes the mandate after his dramatic victory in the last presidential election 2014, political polarization becomes a serious challenge to his administration. Yet, at the same time he obtained a huge international attention. Thus, this article attempt to understand Joko Widodo’s maritime policy from foreign policy perspective. Basically, foreign policy is determined by two factors namely international and domestic. To be more systematic, this article divided into five sections i.e.; introduction, maritime axis and Jokowi’s foreign policy, maritime axis and domestic politics, maritime axis and neighboring countries, and conclusion

Abstract

Theoretically, physical activity can improve physical fitness and cognitive functions. Students who do regular physical activity are expected to have fitness and fitness at the same time as their cognitive function grows and develops so that their academic achievement increases. Unfortunately, as technology advances and lifestyle changes, children's physical activity is decreasing. Effectiveness in achieving learning objectives continuously along with the level of student fitness and decreased cognitive function improvement. This study aims to examine the effect of daily physical activity on increasing students' fitness and academic achievement. The research method used is quasi-experimental with a matching-only design. As a sample, 30 grade 5 students of SDN Pesanggrahan I, Kwanyar, Bangkalan. The sample was divided into two groups, 15 students in the experimental group and 15 students in the control group. The treatment was given for 8 weeks with 3 meetings per week. The fitness variable was measured by a multistage fitness test, meanwhile, the academic achievement variable was measured by a series of questions prepared by the teacher. Data processing was carried out by analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) using the results of the pretest as covariates. The results showed that daily physical activity could improve physical fitness (F=45.91; p<0.01) and student academic achievement (F=7.72; p<0.01). The experimental group showed better physical fitness than the control group (F=100.91; p<0.01). The experimental group also showed better academic achievement than the control group (F=19.45; p<0.01). Based on the results of the analysis, it can be said that the application of daily physical activity for 2 months is proven to be effective in improving physical fitness and academic achievement of fifth-grade students at SDN Pesanggrahan I, Kwanyar, Bangkalan.
