Abstract

Background: Breast milk dams are of milk due narrowing of the lactic ducts or by the glands not being enptied completely or due to abnormalities in the nipples. Breast milk dam is the occurrence of swelling in the breast due to increased venous and lymph flow which causes milk dams and pain accompanied by an increase in body temperature. The purpose of this study was to determine in the relationship between breast care and the incidence of ASI dams in the Ns Baby SpaAnd Mom Care Clinic Medan Johor District Medan City in 2019. Method: This type of research is an observational analytic case control study approach. The population was all breastfeeding mothers who experienced breastfeeding dam events in the 2019 Ns Baby Spa And Mom Care Clinic , totaling 80 people. The number of samples used was 31 people obtained using simple random sampling technique. Data collection using questionnaires and checklist sheets to monitor the management of breast care. Data analysis techniques andchecklist sheets to monitor the management of breast care. Data analysis techniques using the chi square test. Result: The results obtained are p value (0,000). Conclusion: There was a relationship between breast care and the incidence of breast milk dams at the NsBaby Spa And Mom Care Clinic in Medan Johor District Medan City in 2019

Abstract

Background:  Pregnant women class is a study group for pregnant women who get various health information and pregnancy exercises in preparing for childbirth. The number of pregnant women participating in the Maternity Class is 40   people. They do not prepare for childbirth because they feel that they do not need to be prepared in the face of childbirth. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between pregnancy exercise class activities and the preparation of pregnant women in preparation for childbirth. Method: This type of research is analytical with a cross sectional approach. The population was 40 pregnant women who took part in the class of pregnant women and all of them were used as research samples. Data were analyzed bivariately using the chi square test at a significance level of 95%. Result: The results showed that pregnant women carried out various activities in the class for pregnant women with the highest frequency in the less category 23 people (57.5%) and 25 people were not ready to give birth (62.5%). There is a relationship between pregnancy exercise class activities with the readiness of pregnant women in facing childbirth (p 0.039 <0.05). Conclusion: It is hoped that the Puskesmas will optimize the implementation of classes for pregnant women through various innovative and interesting activities that can make pregnant women feel at home in participating in pregnancy exercise classes from start to finish.

Abstract

Cadres play an important role in realizing education as providers of information regarding nutritious food, so that cadres' knowledge is very necessary in changing the nutritional awareness behavior of adolescents of reproductive age, pregnant and postpartum women, which was initially low to higher, so that in the end it will improve nutritious food consumption patterns. The aim of conducting research on cadres at clinic Sarfina Br Sembiring to determine the level of knowledge of cadres in preventing CED. The method used in providing cadre assistance counseling is the lecture method which is a way of explaining and explaining an idea, understanding or message verbally to the target group. The evaluation was carried out by measuring the level of knowledge of cadres through pretest and post test questionnaires regarding knowledge of CED prevention and the benefits of peanut honey to reduce CED and stunting. Based on the results of the outreach activities carried out, results were obtained in increasing knowledge of CED prevention among cadres at PMB Sarfina Br Sembiring. This is proven by the results of the questionnaire increasing cadres' knowledge from the pre-test results which showed that 73.33% of cadres answered questions correctly, then after counseling this increased to 90%. And the results obtained apart from increasing knowledge of cadre attitudes also increased from the pre-test results which showed that 63.33% of cadres answered questions correctly, then after counseling this increased to 80%.

Abstract

Stunting pada balita merupakan salah satu masalah gizi signifikan yang menjadi perhatian global, dengan prevalensi mencapai 22,3% atau 148,1 juta jiwa pada tahun 2022. Di Asia, lebih dari setengah balita stunting dunia (76,6 juta) berada di wilayah ini. Di Sumatera Utara, praktik pemberian MP-ASI menunjukkan ketidakberagaman sebesar 34,2%, ketidaksesuaian frekuensi makan minimal sebesar 46,4%, dan ketidaksesuaian diet minimal yang diterima anak sebesar 59,1%. Selain itu, 16,4% anak usia 6-23 bulan tidak mengonsumsi protein hewani. Balita tidak dapat memenuhi kebutuhan nutrisinya secara mandiri, sehingga orang tua menjadi determinan utama dalam pemenuhan gizi anak. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan ibu dalam memberikan MP-ASI berdasarkan prinsip gizi seimbang. Mitra dalam kegiatan ini adalah Klinik Pratama Vina di Kota Medan. Metode yang digunakan meliputi edukasi tentang MP-ASI sesuai prinsip gizi seimbang, simulasi pengolahan MP-ASI, serta pendampingan dan pemantauan pemberian MP-ASI. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan ibu mengenai MP-ASI dari rata-rata 60,5 pada pre-test menjadi 89,1 pada post-test. Rata-rata ibu berhasil menerapkan prinsip gizi seimbang dalam pemberian MP-ASI selama 27 hari, dengan kegagalan penerapan selama rata-rata 3 hari. Simpulan dari kegiatan ini adalah pemberdayaan ibu dalam pemberian MP-ASI berdasarkan prinsip gizi seimbang efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan dan penerapan pola pemberian MP-ASI yang lebih baik. Abstract

According to BNBP data (2022), Indonesia experienced 3,544 disasters consisting of 1,531 floods, 1,068 extreme weather events, 634 landslides, 252 forest and land fires, 28 earthquakes, 26 extreme waves and abrasion, 4 droughts, and 1 volcanic eruption. A total of 6,144,324 people suffered and were displaced, 861 people died, 46 people were missing, and 8,727 people were injured as a result of the disaster in 2022. The purpose of this study is an application that simplifies the reporting system process using the maternal and neonatal emergency response application. The problem analysis process in this study uses a fishbone diagram to identify problems and system design using UML diagrams consisting of use cases, activity diagrams, and sequence diagrams. The results of this study make it easier for the public to get information about disaster-prone areas and disaster reporting. In addition to the community side, this application is useful for health workers and regional disaster management agencies in the process of reporting activities while in the field. This application is tested using the black box testing method.

Abstract

Tujuan dari program ini adalah untuk memberikan edukasi kepada kader dan orang tua dalam upaya mencegah tantrum pada anak di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Tanjung Tiram, Kabupaten Batu Bara. Metode kegiatan dilakukan dalam tiga tahap: pertama, edukasi berbasis keluarga yang dilaksanakan selama dua minggu berturut-turut. Pada tahap ini, dilakukan pre-test untuk mengukur pengetahuan dan sikap, dilanjutkan dengan pemberian materi edukasi mengenai pola asuh anak yang tepat untuk mengelola tantrum. Pada minggu kedua, dilakukan post-test untuk menilai perubahan pengetahuan dan sikap peserta setelah edukasi. Tahap kedua adalah pengumpulan data mengenai kejadian tantrum pada anak pasca edukasi, yang melibatkan Puskesmas Tanjung Tiram sebagai mitra dalam mendokumentasikan kejadian tersebut. Tahap ketiga adalah pengolahan dan evaluasi data untuk menilai keberhasilan program. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pengetahuan dan sikap peserta, dengan rata-rata skor pre-test pengetahuan meningkat dari 5,2 menjadi 8,5 pada post-test, dan skor sikap meningkat dari 5,4 menjadi 8,35. Sebanyak 85% peserta melaporkan manfaat yang signifikan dari program ini, dan lebih dari 90% peserta memberikan penilaian positif terhadap kegiatan. Penerapan aplikasi Kasling sebagai alat pendukung juga mendukung efektivitas edukasi ini. Meskipun ada tantangan terkait akses teknologi, mayoritas peserta merasa lebih siap untuk menerapkan pola asuh yang tepat untuk mencegah tantrum. Simpulan, program Pendampingan Kader dan Orang Tua dalam Pola Asuh Cegah Tantrum pada Anak telah berjalan dengan efektif, dengan hasil yang positif dalam peningkatan pengetahuan dan perubahan sikap peserta. Program ini dapat menjadi model untuk pelaksanaan kegiatan serupa di wilayah lain, dengan strategi peningkatan aksesibilitas dan teknologi yang lebih baik. Abstract

Human development in Indonesia continues to progress, as stated by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). An increase of 0.53 points to grow by 0.74 percent compared to 2018, where Indonesia's Human Development Index (HDI) reached 71.92. The ability to suppress the incidence of infectious diseases such as Upper Respiratory Tract Infections (URTIs), Pneumonia, Pulmonary Tuberculosis, Hepatitis, Diarrhea and Malaria is one of the indicators of increasing HDI in Indonesia and is a success. Analyzing the Relationship between Infectious Disease History and Child Development in the Sei Mencirim Health Center Work Area, Sunggal District, Deli Serdang Regency in 2022. Observational/survey research, namely data collected from respondents using questionnaires or questionnaires without intervening in the research subjects. The type of research is descriptive analytical with cross-sectional. The research sample was part of mothers and toddlers at the Sei Mencirim Health Center, Sunggal District, Deli Serdang Regency in 2022 as many as 126 people. Using univariate and bivariate analysis. From the results of the statistical test, the majority of children with a history of diarrheal infectious diseases were 186 respondents (52.6%) and the minority of children with a history of ARI infectious diseases were 168 respondents (47.4%). The majority of children with appropriate development were 168 respondents (47.4%) and the minority of children with developmental deviations were 57 respondents (31%). And there is a relationship between a history of infectious diseases and child development at the Sei Mencirim Health Center, Sunggal District, Deli Serdang Regency in 2022 where the p-value is 0.017 (p <0.05).
