Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of education and age of housewives on family financial literacy in Bukit Nenas Village, Dumai City. This research uses a quantitative approach with primary data collected through questionnaires. The population consists of all housewives in Bukit Nenas Village totaling 1,727 individuals. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling, resulting in 95 respondents. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS software, preceded by validity, reliability, and classical assumption tests. The results show that education has a positive and significant effect on financial literacy, particularly at the junior high school, senior high school, and higher education levels, while elementary education is not significant. Meanwhile, age does not entirely have a significant effect, as only the group aged over 50 years shows a positive and significant influence on financial literacy. Simultaneously, education and age affect financial literacy, with education being the more dominant factor.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low motivation of students to learn, especially in the subject of Creative Products and Entrepreneurship caused by the use of conventional learning media. This study aims to test the effectiveness of the use of interactive PowerPoint media in increasing students' learning motivation. The method used is a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design through a pretest-posttest control group design pattern. The research population amounted to 130 students, with a sample of 54 students and was selected using the class-based Cluster Sampling technique (intact group). The determination of this sample also contains elements of Purposive sampling. The results on the paired sample t-test of the control and experimental classes showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. In addition, the results of the independent sample t-test showed a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05. The average N-Gain value of the control class was 16.97% (low category), while the experimental class was 57.80% (medium category). This shows that the use of interactive PowerPoint media is more effective in increasing students' learning motivation compared to conventional methods. Thus, interactive PowerPoint media can be recommended as an innovative learnig alternative to increase students' motivation to learn.

Abstract

Interactive learning media based on lumi education is an H5P-based tool used in learning by presenting content interactively, containing content in the form of a combination of various media into one unit in the form of images, videos and sounds. Learning motivation is a drive that arises from outside or inside students, which influences student behavior to achieve learning goals. This study aims to analyze the application of interactive media based on lumi education in increasing student learning motivation in social studies subjects. The study used a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research sample was 23 students of class VII C. Data collection was carried out through pretest and posttest questionnaires, then analyzed using paired sample t-test and N-Gain tests. The results showed that there was an increase in student learning motivation after the application of interactive media based on lumi education. This can be seen based on the paired sample T-test with a sig value of <0.001 < 0.05 so that it can be stated that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. And the N-Gain value of 0.63 or 63% is in the moderate category. Thus, lumi education-based interactive media is quite effective in increasing student learning motivation in social studies.
