Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth the scope of educational management with a focus on the relationship between the organization, administration, and management of education. These three components are considered the main pillars in managing an effective and efficient education system. The research method used is a literature study. The results of the study indicate that the organization, administration, and management of education have a close relationship and influence each other in the process of managing education. The organization acts as a fundamental structure that provides a framework for the implementation of educational activities, while the administration is responsible for the arrangement and coordination of operational processes within the organization. Educational management focuses on strategic planning, decision making, and control to ensure the achievement of educational goals optimally. The organization, administration, and management of education are three main pillars that cannot be separated in achieving educational goals. Each pillar has a specific role and function that complements and supports each other. Without good synergy between the three, the education system will not be able to function optimally.

Abstract

Through the Community Partnership Program (PKM), an activity can be carried out to improve the quality and quantity of smoked fish production in the MINA SALAI KUARAN business group in Air Dingin Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru, Riau to become an independent coaching group through two aspects: Increasing the level of empowerment of partners in the production aspect. Still lacking, because it uses traditional methods so that the target of this activity will result in a 50% increase in production quantity. And increasing the level of empowerment of partners in the social community aspect, this is done by using online marketing and SME information via Twitter and Facebook. Meanwhile, the lecture and discussion methods for participants are carried out directly in the field by presenting direct counseling materials that also involve students in the MBKM program, then conducting a demonstration method at the Partner's place of business. The innovation of biomass energy-based Salai fish processing technology that is made uses biomass waste raw materials from tree trunks, especially rambutan trees. The PKM activity of the MINA SALAI KUARAN business group, Making Salai Fish in Air Dingin Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru, Riau, is an application of technology with the hope of providing solutions to the obstacles faced by this MITRA, including: (1) making improvements to the management of the application of technological innovations in processing aspects of production and (2) improvements in the social aspect of society through the application of an online marketing information system and promotional media through Twitter, Facebook and MITRA's business signs, which are shown by the support and willingness to work together as partners with the community service team from the Physics Department, FMIPA, University of Riau.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effects of emotional intelligence and learning independence on students' learning activities at SMP Negeri in North Tambusai District, Rokan Hulu Regency. The population of this study consisted of 3,037 students, with a sample size of 354 students. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Quantitative descriptive analysis and path analysis were employed for data analysis. The results indicate that both emotional intelligence and learning independence significantly influence learning activities by enhancing learning motivation. These findings highlight the importance of considering psychological factors in improving students' motivation and learning activities, offering valuable insights for efforts to enhance the quality of education.

Abstract

The curriculum is the main foundation in the education system that directs the teaching and learning process and the development of students. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of the integrated curriculum at SMA IT Pekanbaru in achieving effective and efficient learning objectives. The method used is a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected using interview and documentation techniques. Data sources were taken from the results of interviews with the principal and curriculum representatives as well as written records, information from school documents. The analysis technique used data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The main findings of the study prove that the implementation of the integrated curriculum has been implemented effectively with the support of collaboration between parents and teachers and active involvement of students. Collaboration between schools and parents is very important in improving discipline and the application of theory in students' daily lives. This study recommends the need for a more comprehensive evaluation of the curriculum implementation process to identify areas that need to be improved. This study is expected to contribute to the development of the curriculum in other schools and enrich the literature on integrated curriculum-based education.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the application of the talking stick learning model assisted by video animation can improve student learning outcomes in social studies lessons. Data collection was carried out in class VII B with 32 students. This research is quantitative research with a quasi-experimental approach with a one group pretest-posttest design. Data collection techniques used in the form of observation and tests. The instrument in this study used a learning implementation sheet and 10 multiple choice questions. Data analysis techniques using descriptive analysis and inferential statistical analysis. It is known that student learning outcomes in the normality test are 0.059, which means that the data is normally distributed, with an average pre-test result of 67.34 and a post-test of 86.71. This is evidenced from the results of the paired sample t-test obtained by a t value of -13.519 with a Sig value. (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.005 means that there is a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores. The n-gain result of 0.61 which is in the medium category indicates that the application of the talking stick learning model assisted by video animation can improve student learning outcomes. Therefore, it is necessary to innovate in learning, such as implementing a fun learning model so that students play an active role and improve learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of the use of learning media on students’ learning motivation and learning outcomes in creative economics courses at an education department of one university in Indonesia. The research was carried out employing a quantitative approach with descriptive research methods. The population of this research is undergraduate students from three classes (2019 -2021 cohorts) at this department with a total population of 232 students. They were selected using the Simple Random Sampling method so that the number of samples taken was 70 students. Data were collected using a questionnaire which was distributed to respondents via the Google Form. Data analysis was carried out using regression analysis with the path analysis method to test the research hypothesis. This study found that: 1) the use of learning media has a positive effect on students’ learning motivation; 2) learning motivation has a positive effect on students’ learning outcomes; 3) the use of learning media has a positive effect on students’ learning outcomes (with learning motivation as a mediator). These findings imply that the use of learning media is highly recommended for improving students’ learning outcomes. This influence becomes greater when learning motivation is used as a mediator. This study also shows that learning motivation acts as an intermediary between the use of learning media and students’ outcomes.

Abstract

Penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis Kahoot sudah banyak dilakukan oleh para guru untuk meningkatkan minat belajar dari siswa. Dikarenakan, pendidikan memiliki peran penting dalam pengembangan generasi berkualitas dan peningkatan taraf hidup dalam masyarakat. Minat belajar siswa memainkan peran kunci dalam mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. Namun, mata pelajaran IPS sering dianggap abstrak dan sulit dipahami oleh siswa, yang dapat menyebabkan penurunan minat belajar. Dalam era globalisasi, kemajuan teknologi mempengaruhi pendidikan, dan media pembelajaran seperti Kahoot menjadi solusi untuk membuat pembelajaran lebih menarik dan inovatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest-posttest untuk menganalisis perbedaan minat belajar sebelum dan setelah penggunaan Kahoot sebagai media pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran IPS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Kahoot signifikan meningkatkan minat belajar siswa kelas 7 di SMPN 9 Tualang. Perubahan ini didukung oleh hasil analisis uji beda yang menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan antara pretest dan posttest siswa. Hasil ini juga diperkuat oleh analisis N-Gain yang menunjukkan peningkatan minat belajar siswa dalam kategori tinggi. Penelitian ini sejalan dengan penelitian sebelumnya yang menunjukkan bahwa Kahoot dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Oleh karena itu, media pembelajaran berbasis Kahoot dapat menjadi solusi yang efektif untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS di sekolah. Media pembelajaran seperti Kahoot dapat menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang menarik, interaktif, dan tidak membosankan, yang pada gilirannya meningkatkan minat belajar siswa. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis Kahoot efektif dalam meningkatkan minat belajar siswa kelas 7 di SMPN 9 Tualang pada mata pelajaran IPS. Diharapkan bahwa pendekatan pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan teknologi ini dapat digunakan secara luas dalam pendidikan untuk menciptakan suasana belajar yang lebih menarik dan memotivasi siswa untuk belajar dengan lebih baik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan adanya fenomena yang muncul berdasarkan observasi yang dilakukan peneliti saat melaksanakan kegiatan Pengenalan Lapangan Persekolahan (PLP) di SMAN 1 Kuantan Hilir Seberang. Berdasarkan hasil prasurvey bahwasanya terdapat kurangnya motivasi belajar dari siswa, terlihat saat belajar didalam kelas siswa banyak yang tidak memperhatikan guru pada saat menyampaikan materi, ada yang keluar masuk kelas berulang kali tanpa meminta izin terlebih dahulu kepada guru yang sedang menyampaikan materi didepan kelas dan ada beberap siswa yang tidur dikelas pada saat proses belajar mengajar. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah Apakah ada Pengaruh Lingkungan Sosial Terhadap Motivasi Belajar Siswa Kelas X Pada Mata Pelajran PPKn di SMAN 1 Kuantan Hilir Seberang. Manfaat dari penelitian ini yaitu manfaat teoritis yakni penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dibidang pendidikan, khususnya yang berhubungan dengan penulisan karya ilmiah. Manfaat praktis bagi peneliti adalah menambah pengetahuan, wawasan dan pemahaman mengenai faktor- faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi motivasi belajar siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMAN 1 Kuantan Hilir Seberang yang berjumlah 118 orang siswa. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 30 orang dengan teknik sampling yaitu Proportional Random Sampling kemudian pengambilan sampel secara acak. Metode pengumpulan data yaitu angket, observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Pengolahan data dengan analisis statistik dengan rumus regresi linear sederhana. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tentang Pengaruh lingkungan sosial terhadap motivasi belajar siswa SMAN 1 Kuantan Hilir Seberang, maka dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa terdapat Pengaruh Lingkungan Sosial Terhadap Motivasi Belajar Siswa SMAN 1 Kuantan Hilir Seberang yaitu sebesar 44,4% pada rentang 25,01% - 50% yang termasuk pada kategori “Cukup Baik”.

Abstract

This paper documents the influence of the quality of financial accounting learning on financial literacy and its impact on financial self-efficacy. The research uses quantitative descriptive methods through simple linear regression analysis techniques. The research was carried out at the Vocational School of Labor under FKIP, Riau University in the Accounting and Finance Skills Department Program. The population used in this research were students with competency skills in accounting and financial institutions, namely, classes XI and XII in the academic year 2021/2022, all of whom were 90 students studied (census). The research results show that the quality of financial accounting learning influences the financial literacy of students at the Vocational School of Labor under the guidance of FKIP, Riau University. Financial literacy influences students' financial self-efficacy. Quality learning will help in understanding, assessing, and acting in managing students' finances and financial self-efficacy

Abstract

The weak critical thinking skills of students today encourage educators to seek other ways to attract students' interest in learning. One solution is to develop PBL-based LKPD. Therefore, the present study aims to (1) develop PBL-based LKPD, (2) analyze the effectiveness of the developed PBL-based LKPD, and (3) determine the practicality of PBL-based LKPD. This study is a Research and Development (R&D) research using the 4D model (Define, Design, and Disseminate). The effectiveness of the LKPD, which was developed based on the independent sample t-test test, obtained a sig. value 0.001 < 0.05, which means that there is a significant difference between the test results of the experimental class students and the test results of the control class students. Furthermore, based on the N-Gain score test results in the experimental class using PBL-based LKPD, there was 0.71 with high criteria while the control class using conventional LKPD obtained 0.30 results with low criteria. The practicality of the LKPD developed was assessed based on the teacher's response with an average percentage score of 90% in the very practical category and student responses with an average percentage score of 88.48% in the very practical category. Hence, the use of LKPD is considered effective in improving students' critical thinking skills.
