Abstract

The Internet has the potential to provide universal and easy access to the various types of information services on a single multi-service, but unreliable quality connection can sometime prevent access to the Internet altogether. There are many efforts have been started to resolve the Internet access problem. The main idea behind them is to provide a set of objective parameters that can be used to compare and negotiate in a network. Relatively little emphasis has been put on issues concerning end users, especially on the relationship of user perception and Quality of Service parameters.  In order to implement Quality of Service schemes successfully, users must be taken into account to establish users´ subjective perceptions of Quality of Service.This paper is concerned to the study of mechanism of providing Quality of Service specification for Internet access in low-quality connection. We propose the conceptual model for the specification of user access and allow the users to specify their subjective preferences through the Quality of Service parameters. This model provides the alternative option for user access if resource availability in the system is limited. The user is given opportunity to define their access and determine the parameter for each application which they are chosen. The system will check the resource availability and then compare to the user preferences. In the case resource availability is lower than user preferences, the system can exchange to another option as determined by user requirements.

Abstract

Today Web technology allow web visitor to interact fully to web based system. The interaction accessibility development aims to make it more attractive and make visitor easier in system usage.  One of advantages of web based application is easiness in accessing data that not limited to place and time, while its disadvantage is waiting time for processing user request, so more time process in web application called then required waiting time is more. It is different from desktop based application that require application installation in computer used to access data, however, it has advantage in execution process of real-time instruction, without requiring data access waiting time to server. This  research has succeeded in applying RIA technology to build web with instruction response capability same as desktop application in case study of cellular phone reservation. Built system included catalog presentation, filterization, comparation, shopping basket and reservation process. Built application consisted of some layers including data alter as reservation system data storage, presentation later to present product and control layer to manage instruction response.

Abstract

Abstrak. Belajar dari Studi Kasus, Bagaimana Proses Pengembangan Perangkat Lunak Global Dieksekusi Pada Lingkungan Metode Agile. Tantangan terbesar dalam Software Development Global (GSD) adalah efisiensi waktu untuk mengembangkan. GSD menyediakan panduan untuk menggunakan proses bersama dengan muka seperti proses metode analisis terpadu atau metode air terjun. Meskipun, itu memberikan manfaat melalui dokumentasi yang komprehensif dan kejelasan, ia memberikan menghambat organisasi yang ingin menggunakan GSD tetapi dalam terburu-buru. Metode Agile mengklaim efisien dan pendekatan yang efektif untuk pengembangan perangkat lunak. Makalah ini laporan tentang bagaimana organisasi menggabungkan proses GSD dengan metode tangkas seperti eXtreme Programming (XP), Scrum, Agile Unified Process (UP Agile), Pengembangan Fitur Driven (FDD), dan Microsoft Solusi Kerangka Agile (MSF Agile). Makalah ini menggunakan studi kasus untuk mendapatkan pengalaman organisasi dan menjelaskan praktek yang berguna untuk organisasi yang ingin menerapkan GSD dengan metode tangkas. Kata Kunci: Siklus Hidup Pengembangan Perangkat Lunak, Agile, GSD Abstract. Although, it gives a benefit through comprehensive documentation and its clearness, it gives inhibits the organization which wants use GSD but in a rush. Agile methods claim an efficient and the effective approach to software development. This paper reports on how organizations combine the GSD process with agile methods like eXtreme Programming (XP), Scrum, Agile Unified Process (Agile UP), Feature Driven Development (FDD), and Microsoft Solution Framework Agile (MSF Agile). Abstract

Software estimation is an area of software engineering concerned with the identification, classification and measurement of features of software that affect the cost of developing and sustaining computer programs [19]. Measuring the software through software estimation has purpose to know the complexity of the software, estimate the human resources, and get better visibility of execution and process model. There is a lot of software estimation that work sufficiently in certain conditions or step in software engineering for example measuring line of codes, function point, COCOMO, or use case points. This paper proposes another estimation technique called Distributed eXtreme Programming Estimation (DXP Estimation). DXP estimation provides a basic technique for the team that using eXtreme Programming method in onsite or distributed development. According to writer knowledge this is a first estimation technique that applied into agile method in eXtreme Programming.

Abstract

Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan di wilayah Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Sleman yang tersebar dan terpisah jarak yang jauh sangat tidak efektif dan efisien dalam hal pendistribusian data siswa penerima BKM. Pendistribusian secara online juga tidak membantu pendistribusian data tersebut menjadi mudah karena harus berpindah-pindah dari satu situs ke situs yang lain untuk mengambil data.Penelitian ini bertujuan membangun sebuah teknologi web services yang mampu mengintegrasikan unit data SMK di wilayah Dinas Pendidikan kabupaten Sleman. Dengan toolkit Netbeans 6.0, dibangun di atas server GlassFish v2.0 dan memanfaatkan XML, maka integrasi data dari SMK di Sleman yang memiliki basis data berbeda dapat dilakukan.                 Dengan web service tersebut, dihasilkan sebuah sistem informasi siswa penerima BKM yang merupakan integrasi dari layanan yang berada di SMK. Layanan sistem informasi tersebut dapat menjadi sumber informasi mengenai data siswa penerima BKM bagi Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Sleman.

Abstract

Abstract

The program is implemented by the National Agency of Standardization Education (BSNP) in principle requires the students participation in the information of various media, one of which comes from the Internet. The role of the school, especially teachers by providing a source material is also very necessary. The more resources available subject should be one of the students notes of support factors. Digital training network creative services can be an effective learning tool. Digital materials services can be used to connect between the school as a hardware provider, so that information systems can be integrated with each other learning materials between schools and many resource materials obtained . While the data can be integrated materials between schools then use the Web service. Web services are built on a system of service providers that are in each school. The results of the use of Web services technology for systems integration services which are the subject of each school, with testing services that are built at the school system testing and information important that is accessible by the user, ie teachers, students, and office. The results of the study indicate a web service to solve problems by providing a lot of information distributed on the providers and users as needed.

Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is one of the infectious diseases that frequently leads to Extraordinary Situation. The management of report is conducted by Health Community Center which subsequently gives report to Health Office. A problem arising from the report management is the fact that the report is conducted manually, therefore, the data is less valid and is not processed as quickly as possible. The quick and accurate data report system enables to lessen the risk of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever. Due to this fact, it is undeniable necessary to provide an integrated inter-system of Dengue Fever report. This system includes an inter-system between one Health Community Center to another and to the system in Health Office. The integration of inter-system report is able to be conducted by the use of web service technology. Therefore, this research focuses on the development of Web Service based integrated system on the report of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever. Data exchange is conducted in XML form by the application of SOAP and WSDL technologies. Library NuSOAP is necessary to provide class soapClient and soapServer. In other words, it functions as the listener whose functions are to receive and to response at the access demand toward web service. The result is web service based report system which has dual functions since the system has functions to be either server or client.

Abstract

Proyek Annotea adalah salah satu contoh demonstrasi konsep Semantic Web yang sedang dibangun oleh TimBerners-Lee tentang konsep kolaborasi dengan memanfaatkan anotasi web berbasikan pada shared metadata. Namun sampaidengan saat ini, minimnya implementasi Annotea Client yang ada membuat proyek Annotea menjadi kurang berkembang.Sebagian besar dari implementasi Annotea Client yang ada juga membutuhkan keahlian khusus dari pengguna ataumengharuskan pengguna untuk menginstall aplikasi tersebut didalam sistem komputer mereka. Selain itu adanya hambatandari aturan Same Origin Policy yang membuat implementasi Annotea Client berbasis web sangatlah jarang.Pada penelitian ini dikembangkan sebuah implementasi Annotea Client berbasis web yang mampu melakukanoperasi-operasi dasar sesuai dengan spesifikasi protokol Annotea sekaligus mampu mengatasi permasalahan yangditimbulkan akibat adanya aturan Same Origin Policy sebagai konsekuensi aplikasi berbasis web.Sistem sudah mampu mengatasi masalah yang ditimbulkan akibat aturan Same Origin Policy dengan melakukanproses transformasi dengan memanfaatkan XSLT dan penggunaan query string pada URL.
