Abstract

Education has a major role in building and shaping the quality of character of the nation's children. The purpose of this study is that researchers want to identify the characters shown by SDIT Mutiara Cendekia students and describe the application of character education. The research method used is the descriptive qualitative research method, so the results of this study are: 1) Character values that are applied and shown are religious, independent and responsible, honest and wise, respectful and polite, generous, and helpful. 2) The application and concept of character education at SDIT Mutiara Cendekia by cultivating or habituation. 3). Strategies used by teachers in implementing character education such as always reminding students of good things, giving educative warnings and punishments, teachers providing examples or being role models, applying habituation, and growing awareness and desires of individual students. 4) Barriers to the implementation of character education at SDIT Mutiara Cendekia include factors from teachers, parents, the environment, and the students themselves.

Abstract

Program Kampung Cambridge Mutiara Cendekia yang dilaksanakan di Sekolah Dasar Islam Terpadu Mutiara Cendekia Kota Lubuklinggau, dimana pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris memainkan peran yang signifikan dalam pengembangan sumber daya manusia, terutama untuk mempersiapkan Kota Lubuklinggau untuk menjadi lebih berdaya saing di era MEA. Penelitian bertujuan membantu pengelola program membuat kebijakan tentang apakah program harus dilanjutkan, diperbaiki, atau bahkan dihentikan, dimana evaluasi  program  memberikan  rekomendasi sebagai bahan  pertimbangan. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan evaluasi model CIPP (context, input, process, and product) yang melibatkan para siswa, guru, dan kepala sekolah. Data diperoleh melalui observasi lapangan, wawancara terhadap subjek penelitian, dan dilakukan analisis data. Hasil penelitian menemukan melalui 4 (empat) tahapan yaitu 1) Konteks, menemukan peran program KCMC dan pemenuhan penunjang pembelajaran untuk menjamin berlangsungnya kegiatan dan tujuan lembaga sekolah, 2) Masukan, menemukan kelengkapan pelaksanaan program dan kinerja guru Bahasa Inggris yang menilai keprofesionalan didalam memberikan materi, 3) Proses, menemukan pelaksanaan program KCMC masih memerlukan perbaikan dan peningkatan kualitas terhadap proses pembelajaran yang dihasilkan, 4) Produk, menemukan hasil evaluasi pembelajaran yang baik, namun masih membutuhkan peningkatan metode dalam meningkatkan kecakapan akademik Bahasa Inggris. Sehingga hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa program Kampung Cambridge Mutiara Cendekia telah berhasil memenuhi kebutuhan perkembangan keterampilan bahasa dan kebutuhan belajar bahasa Inggris peserta didik di suatu lembaga sekolah.

Abstract

The value of character education organizes a learning system that encourages the actualization of competence and independence of elementary school students. So that the lesson has become a habit for the local community, especially for elementary school students on the banks of the river who use independent transportation to school. Independence in the development of character education occurs through a value which is a term that cannot be separated from education. This study used a qualitative method, which is a scientific research method that aims to understand a phenomenon in its natural social context by prioritizing a deep communication process between researchers and the phenomenon being studied. The research's findings suggest possible outcomes that can be put into practice to building independent character. For students to successfully develop their own character, it is important for the school, teachers, and parents to work together. The role of the teacher in character development is very important, because the figure of a teacher becomes a source of inspiration and motivation for students. The attitude and behaviour of a teacher is also very imprinted on the students, where every utterance, the personality of a teacher can be a reflection for students. Teachers are not only academic educators but also must be able to become character, moral and cultural educators for their students. The method that is often used in character development is habituation, where teachers can familiarize students to apply certain values based on agreements that have been made together with students, for example about tidiness and this is carried out continuously so that it can become a daily activity, students as well as the teacher.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the academic supervision process carried out in the implementation of the Kampung Cambridge learning program at the Mutiara Cendekia Integrated Islamic School and its impact on the quality of learning as well as follow-up plans for the results of academic supervision as part of a reflection on maintaining school quality. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. This research focuses on aspects of planning, implementation and evaluation as well as identifying obstacles to the elementary school principal's academic supervision program in improving the quality of learning in the Kampung Cambridge Mutiara Cendekia program. The research steps carried out began with 1) Identifying and communicating with interested parties, 2) Collecting data, 3) Analyzing research findings, 4) Drawing conclusions. Data collection uses interview, observation and documentation methods. The results of this research found that the principal of SDIT Mutiara Cendekia Lubuklinggau planned academic supervision regularly and actively involved teachers in preparing academic supervision programs and involved students to see the assessment response to the quality of learning. School principals and teachers must have good communication and be motivators to create an interactive learning atmosphere, so training is needed that presents expert speakers to improve teacher competence. The obstacles found in this research were the lack of time for school principals, making it difficult to carry out periodic academic supervision. The solution to this obstacle is to assign senior teachers or expert teachers by involving competent deputy principals as substitutes for the principal's supervisory duties.

Abstract

The development of student character in integrated Islamic schools, which combine the Muslim personality-oriented Islamic Education Curriculum with the National Curriculum for behavioral assessment on report cards, is of paramount importance. This article focuses on the building of a practical and effective web-based character report card for elementary school children. This research utilized the 4 D methodology of Research & Development (R&D), including define, design, develop, and disseminate. The research findings on the development of e-report applications indicated a validity assessment by media professionals, yielding a score of 85.75%, categorizing it as highly practical. Evaluate the product's practicality with the t-test, which revealed that inputting values in the e-report application was more efficient than manual entry. The effectiveness is evidenced by the teacher's response, which garnered a positive evaluation with a score of 85.60%, categorizing it as very good. Utilizing web-based e-reports for processing assessments aids educators in effectively managing practical character behavior report scores for each assessment indicator description.

Abstract

Perkembangan modernisasi dan globalisasi telah memunculkan berbagai permasalahan sosial. Banyak perilaku-perilaku sosial yang menyimpang dan kenakalan remaja termasuk salah satunya adalah perilaku bullying. Kecerdasan emosional akan berperan didalam perkembangan perilaku dan sikap yang terjadi pada anak. Sehingga diperlukan upaya pengembangan kecerdasan emosional didalam mencegah penyimpangan perilaku yang akan terjadi. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan adalah dengan metode kualitatif, yaitu dengan proses wawancara, diskusi, dan dokumentasi. Objek penelitiannya yaitu kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, beberapa guru dan 15 orang siswa di SMPIT Mutiara Cendekia LubukLinggau. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan peneliti adalah model interaktif meliputi Kondensasi data (data condensation), Penyajian Data (data display) dan Penarikan Kesimpulan (Conclusions drawing). Hasil penelitian menunjukan anak-anak dengan kecerdasan emosional rentan terhadap kesehatan mental (emosi) dan mereka juga lebih cenderung berperilaku agresif. Hasil yang akan berbeda dengan anak-anak dengan kecerdasan emosional menggunakan ketenangan emosional untuk menjaga hubungan yang sehat ketika mereka senang, sedih, atau marah. Guru memiliki peran besar sebagai pengubah dalam membentuk karakter dan moral siswa dimana hal tersebut dapat meningkatkan kecerdasan emosional. Tindakan bullying yang terjadi di sekolah sehingga menimbulkan masalah, ketika guru tidak terlibat atau mengabaikannya. Tindakan komprehensif diperlukan untuk menghindarkan dari perilaku bullying pada anak sekolah. Kecerdasan emosional yang baik akan memberikan dampak positif terhadap pencegahan terjadinya sikap atau perilaku bullying dikalangan anak.
