Abstract

Abstract. This research examines the issue of postponing the 2024 election which has gone viral on social media. The Coordinating Minister for Marves claims that 110 million netizens support postponing the 2024 election, in contrast to what the Founder of Drone Emprit shared: 91% are against and 6% are pro for postponing the election. Researchers focus on analyzing advocacy and disseminating the issue of postponing the 2024 election in new public spaces. Previous research agrees that the internet can disseminate election information and influence society, while this research focuses on Twitter and the role of Mafindo and Drone Emprit in mapping issues. Twitter as social media has become a space for unlimited public discussion, election issues have become a widely discussed discourse. This research aims to understand Twitter as a new public space and social changes in society related to the issue of election delays. Researchers use a qualitative approach and case studies, collecting data using interviews, observations, and literature studies, then analyzing and describing them using a critical paradigm. Researchers found that conversations on Twitter were dominated by narratives of criticism and opposition to the postponement of the 2024 elections, not only by the public but also by politicians, legal experts, observers, and high-ranking party officials. The emergence of figures advocating the postponement of the 2024 elections does not affect public opinion. In this case, the typology of internet users falls into two typologies, namely, disseminator and propagandist typologies.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the forms of symbolic communication used by ABK during social interactions in the inclusive classroom environment of Sekolah Alam Karawang and involves the perspectives of teachers, parents, and non-ABK students regarding their understanding of the meaning of ABK symbolic communication. This study uses a qualitative research method, a phenomenological approach, a constructivist paradigm, and data collection through observation, documentation, data triangulation, and literature studies. The subjects in this study were Students with Special Needs (PDBK) with ADHD, slow learner, and deaf classifications; accompanying teachers; Regular Students (non-PDBK); and parents of students with special needs at Sekolah Alam Karawang. The object of the study was the social interaction of ABK with the environment at Sekolah Alam Karawang. As an analysis, this study uses the Symbolic Interactionism theory developed by G. H Mead and published by Herbert Blumer. The study's findings indicate that PDBK uses three forms of symbolic communication. First, body/physical movements are carried out by PDBK ADHD and slow learners. Second, repetition of words is done by one of the slow learners, PDBK and the deaf PDBK. Third, excessive use of emotions, done by the ADHD PDBK and one of the slow learner PDBK. Teachers, parents, and regular students (non-ABK) understand ABK symbolic communication differently. First, symbolic communication of body/physical movements is interpreted as encouragement, feelings of discomfort/nervousness/happiness, and unclear/strange children. Second, symbolic communication of repetition of words is interpreted as a form of difficulty in regulating thought patterns, a symbol of difficulty hearing, and a symbol of misunderstanding by student V and Mrs T. Third, symbolic communication of excessive use of emotions is interpreted as a form of channelling emotions/annoyance/wanting something and interpreting the form of communication using emotions as a form of anger and bad attitudes from ABK.

Abstract

Jabodetabek is a megapolitan area with a high rate of migrating students from all over Indonesia to continue their higher education. The Karawang Islamic Student Family (KMIK) Jakarta is a forum for Islamic students from Karawang who are in Jabodetabek to continue to work, accommodate aspirations, and serve the Karawang community. The wide scope of KMIK Jakarta requires an effective communication pattern that makes members wherever they are, will feel bound and belonging. The purpose of this study is to determine communication patterns and communication barriers that arise in the cohesive formation of the group. This study used descriptive qualitative approach and phenomenological research method. Data collection was done by interviews, and informant selection techniques by purposive sampling. The cohesive analysis of the group in this study used the Gorupthink Theory of Irvin L. Janis. Four indicators were obtained in this study, namely complex communication, effective communication, communication that is able to build enthusiasm, and high-intensity communication. Communication barriers that occur are differences in communication patterns in each management period. The existence of cohesive groups makes KMIK Jakarta able to face communication barriers that occur with star communication patterns or to all familial channels.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the aggregate production planning system and explore alternative aggregate strategies to improve cost efficiency in the production planning process. The primary objective of aggregate planning is to mitigate unpredictable fluctuations, such as those caused by seasonal or external factors, and to minimize total planning costs. The research focuses on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operating in the garment manufacturing sector in Bandung, West Java. The methodological approach includes a case study design, data analysis, and demand forecasting using QM for Windows with forecasting techniques such as Moving Average and Exponential Smoothing. Microsoft Excel is utilized to simulate and analyze various aggregate planning strategies. This study examines three key strategies: subcontracting, labor adjustment, and working hour regulation. Each strategy incurs distinct cost components, subcontracting costs, recruitment and termination costs, and overtime costs, respectively. Field analysis reveals that subcontracting is the most cost-effective strategy. Its advantages include the ability to engage other SMEs in meeting demand, low risk of delivery delays, and reduced exposure to raw material shortages and processing time constraints. However, it carries a risk of quality variation. Therefore, it is recommended that firms implementing a subcontracting strategy maintain strict quality control to ensure compliance with product specifications.

Abstract

Pertama, Tradition and Modernity menjelaskan tentang mempertahankan budaya atau mengikuti zaman.
