Abstract

Baja yang diaplikasi pada komponen-komponen mesin karena mengalami kondisi kerja yang berat dan adanya beban siklik yang lama harus memiliki kekuatan tinggi dan daktilitas yang tinggi. Penelitian ini, baja ASSAB 709 M diberi perlakuan panas annealing untuk memperbaiki sifat mekanik, perilaku fatik siklus rendah dan ketangguhan baja tersebut. Proses annealing dengan memanaskan spesimen di dalam furnace sampai temperatur austenisasi 825 °C, dengan waktu tahan 30 menit kemudian didinginkan perlahan sampai temperatur kamar . Sebelum dan sesudah proses annealing, dilakukan uji tarik, uji fatik siklus rendah (low cycle fatigue) dengan memvariasikan amplitude 0,0035 - 0,0110, impak, struktur mikro menggunakan optical microscopy(OM) dan permukaan fraktur dari spesimen dianalisis dengan menggunakan scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Struktur mikro baja ASSAB 709 M mengalami perubahan setelah annealing, dari banyaknya martensite lath menjadi terbentuknya pearlite and ferrite.. Perubahan mikrostruktur tersebut menyebabkan perubahan perilaku pada amplitudo regangan rendah dan tinggi akibat proses annealing. Peningkatan tegangan tekan dan peningkatan ketahanan kelelahan siklus rendah (low cycle fatigue) dari baja yang di annealing tergantung pada amplitudo regangan yang diterapkan.

Abstract

  There is so many buildings that built in corrosive environment, which is because lack of terrain or the functions of the buildings themselves. Many of the buildings use steel as reinforcement to strengthen the construction. The strength of buildings will Decrease if the reinforcing steel is corroded because the steel is very easily corroded. This research is to analyze kind of corrosion, corrosion rate of the steel frame in sea water or salty water. Plain reinforcing steel is used in this research with three different brands as specimens to compare the corrosion rate in sea water medium. Observation results show that the kind of corrosion that occurs in three different kinds of the steel is uniform corrosion. Calculation of corrosion rate in this research shows weight loss method. Calculation result of corrosion rate show that A steel brand has the highest endurance Compared to B and C brand. Difference of corrosion rate is because of chemical composition, Also in each kind of steel is added many elements such as chrome, manganese, copper and nickel to increase of corrosion endurance. Difference of elements that added in steel is Affect the corrosion endurance. Base on the research result can be concluded that corrosion endurance in every brand of stainless still in excellent category because the value of corrosion rate is between 0.02 to 0.01 mm / yr

Abstract

The dedication to this activity was prompted by the lack of awareness about the potential use of coconut shells as gas fuel, like LPG, in Tebing Gerinting Selatan Village, as well as in Ogan Ilir Villages in general. The main aim of this activity is to educate the community in Tebing Gerinting Selatan on the technology of converting coconut shells into gas fuel using gasification technology. The educational process includes presentations, demonstrations, and discussions. During the demonstration phase, participants were shown how to operate coconut shell gasification equipment to produce gas fuel. The results of this activity were very encouraging as many participants showed a keen interest in the process and equipment used during the discussion phase. Based on the success of this activity, it can be concluded that there is a high level of public interest in coconut shell gasification technology, and there is a strong desire to apply this equipment to the kerupuk kemplang grilling process in the village.

Abstract

The reduction in fossil energy requires alternative energy that can be renewed. Wood charcoal is one of the alternative sources that can be renewed. Wood charcoal is used to produce energy through direct combustion until now, such as in Pulau Semambu Village, Ogan Ilir, and South Sumatra. The Gasification Method is one technique for converting wood charcoal into gas fuel. This method is not widely known by the community, especially the Pulau Semambu Village, Ogan Ilir people. This Community Service aims to socialize wood charcoal gasification to produce gas fuel in the Pulau Semambu Village Community, South Sumatra. Community service is carried out through Presentations, Q&As, discussions, and demonstrations. The demonstration results showed that the Pulau Semambu Community was very interested in the material provided and the demonstration of making gas fuel from wood charcoal with a gasification process. The demonstration shows that 3 kg of fuel can produce gas for about 50 minutes. The gas fuel formed is identified by the combustion of the resulting gas, which makes the flame.
