Abstract

Leaf spring represent one of suspension systems found on vehicle, and functioning as vibration silencer, at the same time as vehicle construct. Effect of modification by pressing, leaf spring function accepting a repeating dynamic load, will experience of damage effect of fatigue which emerge after the component experience its function. Intention of this research is to analysis effective stress - strain that happened at leaf spring structure effect of pressing modification. From result of stress analysis, in the leaf spring which have natural pressing, have an increasing of maximum stress, that is from 1.09361 x 108 N/m2 become 1.12632 x 108 N/m2, or have degradation of strength equal to 3%. This matter can cause possibility to the happening of broken at leaf spring after pressed is bigger comparing to before pressed.

Abstract

This research was carried out aiming to see the temperature around the occurrence of natural disasters using temperature and humidity sensors that were used as robot eyes, and bluetooth sensors were used to control the robot car by connecting with android as a controller. The benefit of this research is to make it easier for the SAR team to search for victims of natural disasters and make time more efficient and reduce the risk of accidents for the SAR team. The research method used is qualitative with testing documentation techniques carried out and recording the data obtained. From the results of this study, it was found that the sensor used can see the ambient temperature and humidity and the bluetooth sensor control distance reaches 140 meters.

Abstract

Pada proses bubut, seluruh energi yang digunakan untuk pembentukan geram diubah menjadi kalor. Hal ini menyebabkan  suhu pada zona pemotongan akan meningkat. Kalor yang dibangkitkan selama proses pemesinan bergantung terutama pada jenis pahat, material benda kerja, dan parameter proses seperti kecepatan potong, kedalaman potong dan gerak makan.  Temperatur tinggi yang terdistribusi dengan baik selama proses pembubutan, memiliki pengaruh yang penting terhadap tegangan pada mata pahat. Maka dari itu perlu dilakukan analisa pengaruh sudut geram terhadap tegangan pada proses pembubutan titanium dengan cara mengkomparasi hasil teoritis dan simulasi menggunakan Autodesk Inventor 2016.Pada penelitian ini, gaya pemotongan yang digunakan adalah pemotongan orthogonal. Variasi sudut utama pemotongan  yang digunakan 5°, 10° dan 15°. Berdasarkan dari  perhitungan secara teoritis,  gaya potong maksimum (Fc) yaitu 1720 N untuk sudut geram (γ) 50, dan terjadi penurunan gaya potong setiap kenaikan sudut geram (γ).  Dari hasil simulasi yang dilakukan, tegangan maksimum terjadi pada sudut potong 15°, sebesar 1368,462 N/mm2 , terjadi kenaikan tegangan setiap kenaikan sudut geram (γ)

Abstract

The researchers conducted a study on the modification of the pipe in the boiler mini spiral pipe shape with a length of 196.8 cm pipe. By purpose to increase efficiency and temperature that would be generated by a mini boiler and also to determine the shape and length of pipe that is better for use in mini boiler. Results of the testing showed that the temperature rise had passed through the pipe superheater, on the model of spiral pipe an increase in temperature of 10,92 ° C with a steam temperature of 277,62 ° C, while the temperature of incoming steam coming out of the pipe superheater at 288.54 ° C. Researchers previously known to occur at temperatures of 16,6 ° C rise in temperature of incoming steam superheater piping temperature of 267,4 ° C and 284 ° C steam out. Testing for heating water in the boiler mini was conducted for 90 minutes. Spiral pipe temperature value is better than the previous penilitian pipe and the efficiency in the can on mini boiler which uses the spiral pipe is equal to 14,957%, while in the previous study only 5,63%.

Abstract

AbstrakPanas dari gas buang sisa pembakaran kendaraan bermotor roda dua, masih memilikitemperatur yang cukup tinggi. Sumber panas ini biasanya langsung dibuang / dikeluarkanmelalui knalpot ke udara bebas. Dalam penelitian ini, gas buang bertemperatur tinggi inidimanfaatkan kembali, dengan cara dimasukkan kedalam tempat khusus pada kotakmakanan untuk layanan pesan antar (delivery service box). Kotak ini didesain khusus untukmenjaga agar temperatur dalam kotak tidak cepat turun, agar makanan yang akan dikirimtetap dalam kondisi hangat. Instalasi yang dibuat untuk memanfaatkan panas dari gas buangini sangat sederhana, yaitu dengan memasang pipa bercabang pada knalpot, yang bergunauntuk mengalirkan gas buang ke bagian bawah kotak. Kotak bagian bawah ini telah dipasangibaffle agar panasnya dapat bertahan lebih lama. Setelah dimanfaatkan, gas buang itudialirkan kembali ke knalpot, untuk dibuang ke udara. Kotak penyimpan makananmembutuhkan panas ruangan yang cukup agar tidak terjadi penurunan temperatur padamakanan tersebut. Dari studi eksperimental yang telah dilakukan pada kotak penyimpanmakanan, kotak pemanas makanan ini diuji dengan putaran mesin dan jauhnya jarak tempuhmotor. Pengujian ini menghasilkan peningkatan atau kenaikan temperatur gas buang padavariasi putaran mesin yang berbeda. Putaran mesin yang dipakai adalah 800 rpm, 1500 rpm,2000 rpm, 2500 rpm, 3000 rpm, dan 3500 rpm, dan jarak tempuh yang diuji adalah 200, 400,600, 800 dan 1000 meter. Semakin tinggi putaran mesin, semakin tinggi juga panas yangdapat dimanfaatkan sehingga dapat memanaskan temperatur ruangan sesuai yangdiinginkan.Kata kunci: Gas buang, kotak makanan, putaran mesin, jarak tempuhAbstractHeat from combustion exhaust gas motorcycle still has a high enough temperature. The heatsource is usually directly discharged / expelled through the exhaust into the air. In this study,the high-temperature exhaust gas is re-used, by sending it into a special place in the food boxfor another service (delivery service box). This box is especially designed to keep thetemperature high enough inside the box so that the food to be delivered remains in warmcondition.Installation is made to utilize the heat from the flue gas is very simple namely byinstalling a branching pipe on the exhaust, which is useful for the exhaust gas to flow to thebottom of the box. The bottom box has been fitted with baffles, so that the heat can lastlonger. Once used, the flue gas is passed back to the exhaust, to be discharged into the air .Hot food storage boxes require enough space to prevent a decrease in the temperature of thefood.From this experimental study done on the box food storage, food heating box is tested todifferent engine speed and mileage. This test resulted in an increase in exhaust gastemperature at different engine speed variations. The engine speeds used were 800 rpm,1500 rpm, 2000 rpm , 2500 rpm , 3000 rpm, and 3500 rpm, and the mileage tested were 200,400, 600, 800, and 1000 meters. The results demonstrated that the higher the engine rpmused, the higher the heat that could be utilized to heat the room temperature as desired.Keywords: Exhaust gas, food boxes, engine rpm, mileage

Abstract

Pesatnya perkembangan industri kecil menengah dalam bidang pengecoran logam mendorong inovasi dan pembaruan yang lebih baik dalam proses produksi guna menghasilkan produk cor yang lebih unggul. Salah satu produk cor yang dapat diproduksi oleh industri kecil menengah adalah propeller kapal. Sistem saluran (gating system) pada proses pengecoran propeller kapal sangatlah pentin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan parameter sistem saluran yang optimum dalam pengecoran propeller kapal. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan simulasi software ProCast 2016 menggunakan metode Taguchi untuk mendapatkan parameter sistem saluran optimum. Dari penelitian yang dilakukan didapat parameter yang paling berpengaruh terhadap respon shrinkage porosity ialah bentuk runner, kemudian tinggi sprue, dan yang terakhir bentuk sprue base. Untuk kontribusi tiap parameter yang paling berpengaruh ialah bentuk runner sebesar 42,40% terhadap shrinkage porosity yang terbentuk.

Abstract

The increasing need for energy requires finding alternative energy. Sawdust is wate but can be utilised as alternative energy. The sawdust is used as a boiler fuel called biomass. However, the utilization of sawdust as a boiler fuel is considered less effective. Presumably heat and mass transfer of steam for boiler system using spiral pipes. Since the length of steam distribution becomes long so that the heat transfer from boiler to pipes takes a long time. Thus, this study examines the effect of spiral pipes for the heat transfer process for boilers, where the steam is supplied to rotate the turbines (generate electricity). Based on initially study, the boiler system performance using spiral pipe is better than round pipe.

Abstract

An autonomous vehicle's primary function is detecting and tracking the road course precisely and correctly without a driver's assistance. As a result, implementing appropriate controllers is critical for improving the vehicle's stability and movement responsiveness. The performance of adaptive Stanley controlled is evaluated in this paper using numerical simulations. The Stanley controller's most common geometric controller for vehicle path tracking algorithms is compared based on their trajectory tracking analyses on various vehicle speed maneuvers. Stanley calculates steering based on the difference between the vehicle's lateral position and heading angle. The difference between desired coordinates and present coordinates of the vehicle along the path is used to calculate lateral, longitudinal, and vehicle heading orientation angle using the future prediction control technique. The results demonstrate that the Stanley controller outperforms the emergency trajectory with more consistent trajectory tracking and steady-state error.

Abstract

A pico-hydro-type crossflow turbine (CFT) with an off-grid system configuration is a suitable option to increase the electrification ratio in remote or rural areas because it has a simple shape and can be applied in run-of-river conditions. Yet, a comprehensive study is necessary for the CFT to be applied to run-of-river conditions (low head and extreme fluctuation discharge), since this is categorized as an impulse turbine. One solution to optimize the CFT’s performance in this context is to increase the lift force. Hence, this study investigated the effect of the upper blade of the CFT with convex and curved configurations using the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) method. The CFD transient approach uses a moving mesh feature, and the solver is pressure-based in low-head conditions (5 m pressure). The CFD results and analysis of variance (ANOVA) calculation results from this study reveal that the upper CFT affects the performance of the turbine. The relationship of the CFT performance with the rotation and specific speed is parabolic. The express empirical law relation for performance to rotation is a four-order polynomial, and for performance to a specific speed, a three-order polynomial. Based on empirical laws, a CFT with a convex blade is recommended for conditions with low head and extreme fluctuation discharge since it has a wider range of specific speeds than a curved blade, propeller, or Kaplan, Pelton, or Francis turbine. Doi: 10.28991/CEJ-2023-09-01-012 Full Text: PDF

Abstract

Rendahnya kemampuan literasi dan numerasi merupakan masalah mendasar yang memiliki dampaksangat luas bagi kemajuan bangsa, karena berkontribusi secara signifikan terhadap kemiskinan,pengangguran dan kesenjangan. Kemampuan literasi merupakan kemampuan menganalisis informasidalam bentuk teks, sedangkan kemampuan numerasi adalah kemampuan menganalisis informasidalam bentuk angka. Kedua kemampuan ini membantu meningkatkan pemahaman seseorang didalam mengambil kesimpulan dari informasi yang dibaca. Permainan kreatif merupakan salah satusarana yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan literasi dan numerasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untukmenganalisis dampak permainan kreatif pada kemampuan literasi dan numerasi anak-anak PantiAsuhan Al-Fatih Palembang. Permainan kreatif yang diajarkan adalah permainan teka-teki AngkaAlice Oglesby. Permainan ini disajikan dalam bentuk cerita yang harus diselesaikan menggunakanoperasi aritmatika. Metode penelitian mengunakan desain pretes-postes. Hasil penelitianmenunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan terhadap kemampuan literasi dan numerasiantara sebelum dan setelah mengenal permainan kreatif. Dengan kata lain, permainan kreatifmemiliki dampak signifikan terhadap kemampuan literasi dan numerasi anak-anak Panti Asuhan AlFatihPalembang.Kata Kunci : literasi, numerasi, permainan kreatif, teka-teki Angka Alice Oglesby.
