Abstract

Onion bulbs (Allium ascalonicum L.) contain alkaloid compounds and saponins which can accelerate the wound healing process. Therefore, a study was conducted on the wound healing effect of excision of ethanol extract of onion bulbs (Allium ascalonicum L.) in the form of a gel against mice (Rattus novergicus). The purpose of this research was to study the stability of the preparation as well as the effectiveness and optimum concentration in excision wound healing from the ethanolic extract of shallot (Allium ascalonicum L.) in gel dosage form. The concentration variants used were 5%, 10%, and 20%. The method used was sample extraction by maceration and wound gel was made in 3 concentrations, namely 5%, 10%, and 20% then a stability test was carried out on the preparation by cycling test method at 4⁰C and 40⁰C for 6 cycles. Besides that, gel base was also used as a negative control and octadine® gel as a positive control, then the back skin of a rat (Rattus novergicus) was injured using a surgical knife. The results of the observation of the stability of the wound gel preparation were stable both at 4⁰C and at 40⁰C. Reduction of the length of the wound at the beginning of the treatment until the wound was completely closed showed that the ethanol extract gel preparation of shallot bulbs (Allium ascalonicum L.) could reduce and heal cuts in rats with a concentration of 20% which showed the most effective wound healing effect.Onion bulbs (Allium ascalonicum L.) contain alkaloid compounds and saponins which can accelerate the wound healing process. Abstract

The agricultural sector plays an important role for the welfare of society. Agriculture plays a role as a producer of food, employment, and a source of foreign exchange for the country. However, the Indonesian agricultural sector still has several problems, namely: 1) Farming capital; 2) Agricultural technology tools; and 3) Marketing of agricultural products. In this regard, one solution that can solve the problem jointly is the existence of an Agribusiness Micro Finance Institution or also known as Lembaga Keuangan Mikro Agribisnis (LKM-A) in Indonesian. LKM-A is a liaison for the easy access of agricultural businesses to various productive resources, namely: capital, technology, and marketing. Along with the role of helping the farming community, there are also several problems faced by LKM-A itself. LKM-A has three main problems, namely 1) LKM-A's limited income because it only pivots on one business scheme, namely members' savings and loans; 2) The management system is still conventional due to lack of access to technology; and 3) Financial services from LKM-A are still limited and conventional. Therefore, this study aims to solve the LKM-A problem. Solutions as problem solvers that will be implemented in this study through theoretical and practical assistance (guidance and training) consist of: 1) Developing business schemes to increase LKM-A income and member welfare, through farming capital financing schemes, agricultural technology rental services, and digital-based marketing of agricultural products; 2) Develop digital-based business management using several supporting systems such as the Database Management System (DBMS), Microsoft outlook, google spreadsheet, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP); 3) Develop digital financial system-based business services with digital payments through chip-based E-Money, fintech E-wallet, EDC, and QRis.

Abstract

Simpur leaf (Dillenia indica L) is a plant that contains polyphenolic compounds, flavonoids, steroids, terpenoids, tannins and saponins that function as antifungal agents. Candida albicans is a fungus that can cause skin candidiasis. The purpose of this study was to formulate simpur leaf extract into a shampoo dosage form by testing its antifungal activity. The shampoo preparations were made in 3 formulas with varying concentrations of 5%, 10% and 20% then an evaluation was carried out which showed the shampoo preparations had met the requirements such as organoleptic, homogeneity, pH, viscosity, foam height, stability and hedonic tests. The antifungal activity test used the well method with negative control without the addition of extract and 2% ketoconazole was used as a positive control. Tests of simpur leaf extract against the fungus Candida albicans showed a concentration of 20% had the largest inhibitory diameter of 11.55 mm compared to concentrations of 5% (6.398 mm) and 10% (8.375 mm). While the shampoo preparation test showed that F3 with a concentration of 20% had the largest inhibition zone diameter of 12.008 mm compared to F1 and F2 with a concentration of 10% (9.775%) and 5% (6.725 mm). The negative control had an inhibition zone of 2.13 mm and the positive control had an inhibition zone of 13.78 mm.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the impact of implementing small games in Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PESH) learning on the improvement of motor skills among elementary school students. The research method employed is a pure experiment with a quantitative approach. Data was collected from 17 students through motor ability tests, including the Shuttle Run, throw and catch ball, and Stork Stand Positional Balance tests. Pre-test and post-test results were analyzed to obtain average scores, standard deviations, and variances. The research findings indicate an enhancement in students' motor skills following the implementation of small games in PESH learning. In the Shuttle Run test, there was an increase in the average score from the pre-test (19.2141) to the post-test (18.7294). The throw and catch ball test also exhibited an improvement in the average score from the pre-test (16.4118) to the post-test (19.6471). In the Stork Stand Positional Balance test, an increase in motor skills was also observed, with the average score shifting from the pre-test (11.3618) to the post-test (7.9676). Furthermore, statistical analysis also indicates a decrease in the standard deviations and variances in the post-test results compared to the pre-test, indicating an enhancement in measurement consistency. This improvement reaches approximately 13.73% in the enhancement of students' motor skills. The results of this research offer positive implications for the effectiveness of using small games to enhance students' motor skills within PESH learning. This underscores the significance of creative and playful approaches in optimizing the learning process to achieve holistic physical education objectives.

Abstract

Education is recognized as a human right and the main key to a nation's progress. The availability of adequate educational facilities in each region is crucial to ensure equal access to education for all citizens. However, Indonesia faces significant challenges in providing equitable educational facilities, especially considering the diverse geographical and demographic conditions between regions. Teluk Bintuni Regency in West Papua Province is one of the areas that requires special attention in improving educational access and facilities, especially because of its geographical conditions, the majority of which are islands with mountains and sea waters. This research aims to analyze the availability of educational facilities in Teluk Bintuni Regency, with a focus on the type and level of schools. Data obtained from the Education Department shows that by 2023, this district will only have 263 schools, consisting of kindergartens, elementary schools, middle schools, high schools and vocational schools. This figure is still considered insufficient and equitable, especially when compared with the population of around 60,000 people spread across 23 sub-districts. The main challenge in providing equitable educational facilities in Teluk Bintuni Regency involves diverse geographic and demographic conditions. Therefore, it is hoped that this research can provide an in-depth evaluation of the current condition of educational facilities, identify existing gaps, and formulate the need for improving educational facilities in the future based on population growth projections. It is hoped that the results of this research can provide a strong basis for policy making by the Teluk Bintuni Regency Government, especially in terms of planning and budgeting for the equitable development of educational facilities. It is also hoped that the conclusions from this research can become a reference for related agencies, such as the Education Office, Bappeda, and the Teluk Bintuni Regency DPRD, in preparing strategic plans for educational development for the next five years.

Abstract

This research illustrates the importance of introducing the concept of income and expenditure at an early age by presenting simple, relevant examples. The introduction of income, such as a weekly allowance from parents, helps children understand the meaning of effort in earning money, develops financial decision-making skills, and builds discipline. Positive impacts include a better understanding of financial concepts and growing financial independence, despite potential wasteful habits and dependence on parents. On the other hand, the introduction of expenses, such as buying snacks or toys, helps children learn to choose between different options, understand the value of money, and be responsible for their spending. It also strengthens financial decision-making skills and awareness of financial priorities, although it can lead to wasteful habits and lack of awareness about saving for the future. In conclusion, early financial literacy education has a key role in shaping children's understanding of finance, financial values, and wise financial management practices, which will help them face future financial challenges and build a more stable financial foundation, while creating a strong foundation for healthy financial understanding within the family.
