Abstract

An environment that is clean from rubbish is an environment that everyone hopes for. The amount of waste produced by humans will increase in proportion to the increase in population, type of activity and level of population consumption of goods. Mekarjaya Village is a village in Bayongbong sub-district, Garut Regency which has a population of 1187 people. With this population, it is very likely that waste will accumulate if it is not managed properly. At the Garut Institute of Technology's Thematic KKN activities in 2023, it was identified that there was a buildup of rubbish in a location that had not been organized. Therefore, one of the community service activities will be activities that focus on environmental cleanliness. This is done with the aim of creating a more organized environment and a cleaner and healthier environment. To achieve this goal, joint environmental cleaning activities were carried out, providing rubbish bins and waste sorting education to educate residents about the importance of waste management to achieve environmental cleanliness.

Abstract

Concrete is a material that has been widely used to build various types of buildings. To produce concrete that meets the requirements, research and quality of the mixed materials used are needed. Additional materials for concrete are a mixture of basic materials such as water, cement, fine aggregate, and coarse aggregate, and ash. In previous studies, the silica content of onggok starch ash or aren pulp ash was 27.89%. This study aims to determine the compressive strength value of concrete with the addition of aren pulp ash to the weight of cement at the age of 28 days. This study was conducted in the laboratory using a quantitative method with data taken based on the results of research in the laboratory. Arenga pulp ash was added as an additional cement material at levels of 2.5%, 5%, and 7.5% to the compressive strength of concrete. The results of this study for the planned Bet-on met the requirements of 20 MPa with a compressive strength of 21.81 MPa; a mixture variation of 2.5% was 16.37 MPa, 5% was 15.66 MPa, and 7.5% was 15.56 MPa. Based on the results of the concrete compressive strength test with the addition of palm waste ash to the concrete mixture, there was a decrease in the compressive strength of the concrete, so the addition of palm waste ash cannot be used for the concrete mixture because it causes a decrease in the compressive strength of the concrete.

Abstract

COVID-19 merupakan salah satu virus yang saat ini sedang menjadi perbincangan di dunia, khususnya di Indonesia. Maka dari itu, masyarakat perlu lebih ekstra lagi dalam beberapa bidang seperti pendidikan, ketenagakerjaan dll. Banyak hal yang perlu dijadikan sebuah acuan dalam pembelajaran yang saat ini merupakan sebuah permasalahan dan keluhan dikalangan pelajardan pengajar. Masalah pemberlakuan tatap muka yang terbatas dan belajar secara jarak jauh (sistem daring) di Desa Parakan, Kecamatan Pasirwangi, Kabupaten Garut menjadi sebuah kendala besar dalam keberlangsungan pembelajaran,baik itu terkait jaringan ataupun fasilitas yang kurang memadai. Sehingga dibutuhkanlah kiat-kiat dalam menyusun strategi dan sistem pembelajaran. Selain dalam bidang pendidikan, bidang ketenagaakerjaan pun menjadi masalah yang dialami oleh masyarakat desa Parakan. Dimulai dari terbatasnya aktivitas masyarakat untuk bekerja, sampai kegagalan-kegagalan yang dirasakan oleh masyaraka saat ini. Kegagalan tersebut didasarkan pada hal yang dirasakan masyarakat dari kurangnya aktivitas dan faktor lingkungan. Faktor lingkungan yang menyebabkan kegagalan tersebut salahsatunya dari kurang baiknya distribusi air karena mayoritas pekerjaan di desa Parakan yaitu dalam bidang pertanian. Oleh sebab itu, dari masalah-masalah yang terjadi membuat kami terdorong untuk mengadakan kegiatan webinar yang diadakan dalam program Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) Institut Teknologi Garut (ITG) dengan menyampaikan beberapa strategi pembelajaran di masa pandemic, ketenagakerjaan, beserta pengelolaan lingkungan untuk memperbaiki distribusi air. Webinar tersebut terbukti dapat meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat dengan persentase 27%. Pada seluruh topic yang diberikan dari pemahaman sebelumnya.

Abstract

The development of the business in Sindang Prabu Village really encourages us to deepen more on how to improve the marketing strategy of businesses owned by local residents in the neighborhood. The Sindang Prabu village area has many resources that can be used to improve small businesses, especially in marketing. The purpose of this research itself is to explain how a good marketing strategy can increase the level of sales of products owned by entrepreneurs. The method used in this research is qualitative method. The sample used in this study is a micro business owned by local residents. The functions and materials used in this research study are intended to find out how to do or a good marketing strategy in order to increase sales of micro-entrepreneurs' products. The results of the analysis from conducting a survey directly show that the lack of promotion carried out by business owners makes the marketing value unsatisfactory of the product and also the constraints on the lack of auxiliary tools such as machines in the production process become a significant influence in the marketing process carried out by business owners , it can be seen that promotions and also tools in the production process can be the right solution in increasing the marketing of products owned by these micro entrepreneurs.

Abstract

Awareness of online/digital ethics and the ability to sort information are very important for everyone to have. We have analyzed this awareness and ability in Mekarjaya Village, a village located in Bayongbong District, Garut. With the majority of the population working as farmers and farm labourers, digital literacy is an important aspect in efforts to develop the potential of society in the ever-evolving digital era. Students in Mekarjaya Village are also increasingly connected online, but they are often faced with limited internet access and a lack of awareness about online ethics. This study aims to understand the importance of building online ethical awareness and the ability to sort information among students in Mekarjaya Village. To achieve this goal, a digital literacy program and digital ethics briefing have been implemented in one of the junior high schools in Mekarjaya village, namely Persis Al-Manar Middle School. The methods used include lectures, discussions, and questions and answers. The results showed an increase in students' understanding of digital literacy and digital ethics, as well as improvements in their online behavior. This research provides important insights into the challenges and potentials of digital literacy in rural areas and offers solutions in the form of relevant educational programs.

Abstract

Village development is an effort to improve the quality of life and life for the greatest welfare of the village community. Ngamplangsari Village itself still has limited space to carry out various community activities. Therefore, the village government is trying to build a more suitable village office and sports hall. However, this is a fairly difficult activity for the village because it is based on: limited budget, optimization of the use of village funds and human resources in planning. This community service activity is carried out on the planning activities for the construction of the Detail Engineering Design (DED) of the Village Office and Sports Hall and the calculation of the Cost Budget Plan (RAB). This is done with the aim of providing appropriate and efficient planning solutions. In addition, the goal is to prevent landslides and maintain slope stability, so that it can be used in road construction in the area. To achieve this goal, this activity is carried out starting from measuring the survey location, then the measurement data is used as a DED plan and a calculation of the Cost Budget Plan (RAB) is made, which is requested by 13 village parties to help and facilitate the village in infrastructure development. The results of the DED planning include working drawings in accordance with the characteristics of the Village and an adequate and economical Cost Budget Plan (RAB). The resulting building area is 453.36 m2. So the result of the RAB calculation reaches Rp. 3,168,344,000.00.
