Abstract

Abstract- This conceptual paper is aimed to explore critical factors of the Islamic supply chain for their economic impact in the region of Indonesia. The variable used in this study is the strategy of Halal supply chain and optimizing the potential of economy. The data analysis used was qualitative descriptive. The results of the research carried out were the supply chain strategy carried out by the Halal management institution in Palembang, namely by establishing halal strategy collection units which were placed in several government agencies such as government agencies and companies as well as cooperating with banks, government officials, and religious leaders. The strategy for halal supply chain can be done by OPZ, LAZIS or BAZIS through the payment system, among others; supports from government and private; halal hub; differentiation between Muslim and non-Muslim suppliers; halal  control  and  labeling; also be paid through Islamic banking services. We highlighted that in fulfilling the orders from customer, complete segregation between halal and non-halal products throughout the supply chain is strictly required. The manufacturing flow management is about physical handling of the products that must be controlled from the origin to the consumption points. In addition, procurement also plays an important role in the supply chain, which is according to Tieman et  al. (2012), to define and manage the upstream supply chain networks.  It  covers  purchasing  strategy,  selection  of  suppliers,  ordering, evaluating suppliers, and determining the specification

Abstract

Emotional Exhaustion is one of burnout dimensions and predictor of Organization Citizenship Behavior (OCB). Human resources management scholars have been paying their attention to this subject. However, they tend to ignore EE’s phenomena in hospital. Therefore, this study investigate the factor affedcting the emotional exhaustion among medical staff at a growing hospital in Padang city. Different from previous studies, this study survey woman medical staff working in that hospital. The hyphoteses are developed by using the COR theory and previous studies findings and this study come out with three hyphoteses. First, the relationship between perceived workload and emotional exhaustion. Second, work-family conflict and emotional exhaustion. Finally, the role of work-family conflict as mediator between perceived workload and emotional exhaustion. By using 83 medical staffs (woman), we using the simple, multiple and sobel test. The result show that emotional exhaustion level among medical staff is very low. In addition, work-family conflict level also shows very low level. From regression analysis, we conclude that perceived workload has a positive relationship with the emotional exhaustion. Further, the work-family conflict also indicate a positive direction toward an emotional exhaustion. Indeed, the work-family conflict also play a significant role as moderating variabel between perceived workload and emotional exhaustion. This finding has a theoritical and practical contribution in the sense that the phenomena of emotional exhaustion among woman medical staffs in hospital could also be explained by COR theory. Practically, the hospital can use this finding to reduce the emotional exhaustion by decreasing the workload and work-family conflict.

Abstract

Air mata pengantin is a term used to refer to both the plant Antigonon leptopus and a traditional beverage of the Malay Riau community. This study aims to examine the botanical aspects of A. leptopus and the cultural significance of the es air mata pengantin beverage within the Malay Riau society. A. leptopus is a climbing plant from the Polygonaceae family, characterized by clusters of pink to white flowers, and is rich in bioactive compounds such as flavonoids, polyphenols, alkaloids, saponins, and tannins, which have potential antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Meanwhile, es air mata pengantin is a traditional beverage made from colorful agar, grass jelly, basil seeds, red syrup, and shaved ice, named as such due to its appearance resembling the beauty of A. leptopus flowers. The use of the same name for both the plant and the beverage reflects the local wisdom of the Malay Riau community in linking natural beauty with life values and cultural traditions. This phenomenon also indicates the process of cultural value transmission and the transformation of traditional culinary practices into regional cultural identity. Therefore, the preservation and further development of A. leptopus utilization as an ornamental plant and traditional medicinal plant are necessary to support the sustainability of local wisdom and Indonesia's biodiversity

Abstract

In Indonesia, limited employment opportunities drive many citizens to become Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI), including through illegal channels. Illegal placement of PMI has the potential to violate human rights, is related to the crime of human trafficking, and is difficult to monitor because it is not officially registered. This study highlights the imposition of criminal sanctions on illegal PMI distributors and a review of Islamic criminal law against these perpetrators. The type of research used is empirical juridical with a qualitative approach. The results show that illegal PMI distributors can be subject to criminal sanctions under Law No. 18 of 2017 concerning the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers and Law No. 21 of 2007 concerning the Eradication of the Crime of Human Trafficking (TPPO), in the form of imprisonment of up to 10 years, a fine, or revocation of business licenses. From the perspective of Islamic criminal law, perpetrators can be subject to ta'zir punishment because their actions contain elements of gharar (unclear) and dzulm (injustice), which harm the victim economically, physically, and psychologically. Ta'zir penalties are flexible and can range from imprisonment, fines, revocation of business rights, to social sanctions, with an emphasis on moral rehabilitation through repentance and compensation for victims. These findings confirm that both national and Islamic law require firm action against illegal migrant worker distributors to protect migrant workers' rights, prevent exploitation, and deter perpetrators.
