Abstract

Osteoarthritis merupakan penyebab utama penurunan aktivitas fungsional pada individu usia lanjut. Muscle Energy Technique (MET) dan Quadriceps Strengthening Exercise (QSE) dikenal sebagai metode efektif dalam mengurangi nyeri dan meningkatkan fungsi sendi lutut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan efektivitas MET dan QSE terhadap aktivitas fungsional penderita osteoarthritis. Metode penelitian menggunakan desain pre-post two group design dengan 30 partisipan yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok intervensi. Kelompok pertama mendapatkan MET, sedangkan kelompok kedua menerima QSE. Aktivitas fungsional diukur menggunakan skala WOMAC sebelum dan sesudah intervensi. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji Wilcoxon dan uji Mann-Whitney. Hasil menunjukkan kedua intervensi memberikan peningkatan signifikan pada aktivitas fungsional (p0,05). Perbandingan kedua metode tidak menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan (p0,05), menandakan efektivitas yang sebanding antara MET dan QSE dalam meningkatkan aktivitas fungsional. Dengan Kesimpulan; baik MET maupun QSE efektif dalam meningkatkan aktivitas fungsional pada penderita osteoartritis. Pemilihan metode dapat disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan dan kondisi pasien.

Abstract

Nyeri punggung bawah adalah nyeri yang disebabkan oleh ketegangan atau stres pada otot punggung, tendon, dan ligamen. Nyeri ini biasanya muncul saat melakukan aktivitas sehari-hari yang berlebihan. Nyeri punggung bawah perlu mendapat perhatian karena dapat menjadi masalah seperti hilangnya waktu kerja, penurunan produktivitas kerja. Myogenic low back pain dapat diatasi dengan kombinasi TENS dan William Flexion. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh kombinasi Transcutaneus Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) dan william flexion terhadap peningkatan fungsional dan penurunan nyeri pada pasien nyeri punggung bawah miogenik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pra eksperimental. Dengan desain penelitian mengacu pada satu kelompok pretest-posttest. Peneliti memberikan pre-test fungsional dengan Oswetry Disability Index (ODI) dan nyeri dengan VAS pada pasien Myogenic low back pain kepada sampel yang akan diberikan perlakuan. Kemudian peneliti melakukan perlakuan berupa T ENS dan William Flexion. Setelah selesai perlakuan, peneliti memberikan post-test fungsional dengan ODI dan nyeri dengan VAS pasien nyeri pinggang miogenik. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Rumah Sakit Gotong Royong Surabaya. Populasi Penelitian adalah 105 pasien nyeri pinggang miogenik di Rumah Sakit Gotong Royong Surabaya yang datang ke Instalasi Rehabilitasi Medik. Sampel merupakan bagian populasi pasien nyeri pinggang miogenik di Rumah Sakit Gotong Royong Surabaya sebanyak 20 pasien. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadinya peningkatan fungsional dan penurunan nyeri setelah dilakukan pemberian intervensi berupa Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) dan william flexion. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) dan william flexion terhadap peningkatan fungsional dan penurunan nyeri pada pasien Myogenic low back pain di Rumah Sakit Gotong Royong Surabaya.

Abstract

Osteoarthritis (OA) merupakan penyakit kronis dan kelainan ortopedi yang paling umum. Sebagian besar beban sosial OA berhubungan dengan pinggul dan knee. Osteoarthritis knee kronis menyebabkan rasa sakit, degenerasi sendi, dan secara bertahap kehilangan tulang rawan sendi. Selain itu, sklerosis subkondral dan osteoarthritis kronis berhubungan langsung, dan osteofit merupakan hasil dari keduanya. Ketikaosteoarthritis kronis menyerang knee, pembengkakan dan rasa sakit bertahan selama lebih dari 12 minggu. Untuk mengetahui pengaruh kombinasi TENS dan Static Cycle terhadap nilai nyeri dan kemampuan fungsional penderita osteoarthritis knee di RS K Ngesti Waluyo Temanggung. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pre eksperimental. Dengan desain penelitian mengacu pada one group pretest-posttes. Peneliti memberikan pre-test nyeri dan Fungsional Knee kepada sampel yang akan diberikan perlakuan. Kemudian peneliti melakukan perlakuan berupa TENS (Transcuntaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) dan Static Cycle. Setelah selesai perlakuan, peneliti memberikan post-test nyeri dan Fungsional Knee. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Di RS Kristen Ngesti Waluyo Temanggung, Jawa Tengah pada Mei - Juni 2024. Populasi pada penelitian ini 45 pasien yang datang dengan keluahan nyeri knee ke instalasi rehabilitasi medik. Sampel dalam penelitian adalah penderita osteoarthritis knee pada Instalasi Rehabilitasi medik RS Kristen Ngesti Waluyo Temanggung yang sesuai dengan krteria inklusi dan ekslusi yang berjumlah 20 sampel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kombinasi Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation dan Static Cycle dapat mengurangi nyeri dan meningkatkan kemampuan fungsional penderita osteoarthritis. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh kombinasi Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation dan Static Cycle terhadap penurunan nyeri peningkatan kemampuan fungsional pada kondisi Osteoarthritis Knee di RS K Ngesti Waluyo Temanggung, Jawa Tengah.

Abstract

Osteoartritis adalah penyakit sendi degeneratif dan kronis yang ditandai dengan gejala klinis dan distorsi jaringan sendi. Penyakit ini terutama merusak tulang rawan sendi, menyebabkan rasa sakit, pembengkakan, dan kekakuan di sekitar sendi. Ini adalah penyebab utama kecacatan dan rasa sakit. Osteoarthritis lebih banyak mengenai sendi pinggul dan sendi lutut. Osteoarthritis Knee ditandai gejala seperti nyeri. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pre eksperimental. Dengan desain penelitian mengacu pada one group pretest-posttes. Peneliti memberikan pre-test nyeri kepada sampel yang akan diberikan perlakuan. Kemudian peneliti melakukan perlakuan berupa TENS dan Quadricep Bench Exercise sebanyak 2 kali seminggu selama 1 bulan. Setelah selesai perlakuan, peneliti memberikan post-test nyeri.Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di RSUD Jombang, Jawa Timur pada bulan Juni sampai Agustus 2024. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua penderita Osteoarthritis Knee unilateral yang berkunjung di Iistalasi Rehabilitasi Medik RSUD Jombang pada bulan Juli sampai September 2024. Sampel merupakan bagian populasi pasien Osteoarthritis Knee unilateral di RSUD Jombang. Data primer dikumpulkan melalui wawancara langsung dilanjutkan dengan pemeriksaan. Analisis data menggunakan uji Wilcoxon. Berdasarkan analisis diketahui terdapat pengaruh Kombinasi TENS dan Quadricep Bench Exercise terhadap nyeri pada pasien Osteoarthritis Knee unilateral di RSUD Jombang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disarankan untuk peneliti selanjutnya untuk meneliti dengan sampel yang lebih besar.

Abstract

Stroke is the main cause of disability and death in the world, which can make sufferers experience a decrease in quality of life, such as common problems from stroke are balance disorders, endurance, walking speed, cognitive function and walking ability. This study aims to determine the effect of task-oriented gait. training on changes in balance, endurance, walking speed, cognitive function and the ability to walk in post stroke patients. This research is a quasy experimental research with a pre-test-post-test two group design approach. This study evaluated the balance, endurance, walking speed, cognitive function and walking ability of post-stroke patients. This research was conducted at RSKD South Sulawesi (Stroke Center) Makassar and RSUD Haji Makassar with a total sample of 15 patients aged 40 years and over, diagnosed with post stroke movement function disorders, confirmed medical records that were scheduled to undergo physiotherapy. Samples were taken using purposive sampling method. Balance is measured by the Berg Balance Scale (BBS), endurance is measured by a 6-minute Walk Test (6MWT), walking speed is measured by a 4-meter Timed Walk (Gait Speed Test), and walking ability is measured by Modified Functional Ambulation Categories (mFAC). Measurements were made before the intervention and after the treatment group and the control group. The results of the intervention group study showed that Task-Oriented Gait Training gave significantly better resultsthan the control group.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aimed at knowing the clinical efficacies of myofascial release technique to determine the most beneficial result-oriented physiotherapeutic approach for treating pain due to low back pain. Methods: This was a randomized, controlled pretest–posttest experimental study that myofascial release technique. These techniques were compared using a convenience sample of 30 participants with back pain due to muscle spasms with 35-65 age. The numeric pain rating scalewere used to assess the participants’ pain due to back pain, and pain of LBP, at baseline (day 0), day 6, and day 12 post intervention and at during follow-up. All groups were given myofascial releae technique. Repeated-measures ANOVA were used to analyze the data. Results: The within-group analyses showed significant improvement (P0.05) for all variables. Conclusion: MFRT are equally effective for reducing pain with nonspecific low back pain. Furthermore, advice promoting pain reduce can be an adjunct to physiotherapeutic interventions for reducing low back pain and its symptoms. A combination of these manual therapies advice might be a good treatment option for nonspecific pain in physiotherapy clinics

Abstract

Background: Low back pain is one of the common musculoskeletal disorders. Muscle energy technique (MET) may be a useful intervention for treating such disorder. Objective: The aim of this study was to compare the effect of MET in people with mechanical back pain. Methods: A randomized controlled trial was undertaken. thirty patients with mechanical back pain were randomly allocated to either the MET group or control group. The former group received MET pre-post 3 and 6 times, and the latter group MET pre-post 6 and 12 times treatment. Treatment was given once a day for 30 days. A numerical pain rating scale (NPRS) was used to measure the intensity of pain was immediately before treatment and again on the 3th, 6th and 12th day. Results: NPRS scores showed no significant improvement in MET 3th and 6hh time and MET groups on the 6th and 12th day post intervention (p <0.05). However, NPRS scores showed better improvement in the MET group A as compared to the MET group B (p < 0.015). Conclusion: Muscle energy technique was better in improving pain in people with mechanical back pain.
