Abstract

The use of technology is increasingly on the rise, and the importance of information technology is also manifested in various aspects of life, such as in communication, access to information, and also in the learning process.Interactive learning platforms can be effective teaching tools to enhance student understanding and retention, one of which is Edpuzzle.The purpose of this research is to develop geography learning media using Edpuzzle on the topic of geographic information systems (GIS).Analyzing the feasibility of the media as a geography learning tool.This research is a development and research study, also known as Research and Development (RD).The development model used is the ADDIE development model, which has 5 stages including analysis, planning, development, implementation, and evaluation.In the first stage or development stage, the learning media using eddpuzzle was evaluated by several validators and 30 students from class X at SMA Negeri 6 Gorontalo City.The assessment results by subject matter experts were 85.71% (very feasible), the media expert assessment was 82.67% (very feasible), while the geography teacher's assessment reached 90% (very feasible) and the student assessment obtained 87.33% (very feasible).Based on the assessment results from the validators and students, it can be concluded that the Development of Geography Learning Media on Geographic Information System (GIS) Material to Improve the Learning Outcomes of Class X Students at SMA Negeri 6 Gorontalo CityUsing Edpuzzle is already suitable for use in learning.

Abstract

This study presents a thematic literature review examining the role of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in developing supporting facilities for tourism destinations, with a specific focus on the Gorontalo region. Analysis of ten selected articles reveals that GIS is effective in identifying facility gaps, classifying tourism sites based on development needs, and designing spatially targeted strategies. GIS offers advantages such as real-time data availability, support for participatory planning, and continuous evaluation, facilitating more accurate, evidence-based policymaking. Additionally, GIS enables integration across sectors such as transportation, local economy, and environmental preservation, enhancing the effectiveness of regional planning. Despite challenges like the need for technical training, limited data availability, and uneven infrastructure access, GIS remains a valuable tool for supporting digital transformation in tourism governance. This study recommends the expansion of GIS as a key instrument for inclusive, efficient, and sustainable tourism planning and destination promotion in Gorontalo

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi keberlanjutan wisata Lombongo dengan pendekatan SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) guna memberikan rekomendasi strategis dalam pengembangan pariwisata berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui angket, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa wisata Lombongo berada dalam Kuadran I (Strategi Agresif/SO), yang berarti destinasi ini memiliki kekuatan yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk menangkap peluang yang ada. Kekuatan utama meliputi daya tarik alam yang unik, dukungan pemerintah, dan fasilitas wisata yang tersedia, sementara peluang terbesar terletak pada tren ekowisata, promosi digital, serta pengembangan event pariwisata. Berdasarkan posisi ini, strategi yang direkomendasikan adalah penguatan infrastruktur wisata, pengembangan ekowisata berbasis edukasi, pemanfaatan teknologi digital untuk promosi, serta peningkatan keterlibatan masyarakat dalam pengelolaan destinasi. Implementasi strategi ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan daya saing dan keberlanjutan wisata Lombongo, serta memberikan manfaat ekonomi, sosial, dan lingkungan bagi masyarakat setempat. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan sinergi antara pemerintah, pengelola wisata, serta masyarakat untuk memastikan keberhasilan strategi yang diterapkan.

Abstract

Education is a vital aspect in addressing the challenges of the 21st century. With the rapid development of globalization, the industrial revolution 4.0, and social changes, education becomes the key to preparing individuals to succeed and remain relevant in the modern era. One crucial aspect of 21st-century education is the ability to adapt to rapid changes. The integration of technology in learning, especially through the use of digital Flipbooks, provides an innovative approach to delivering educational content. Digital Flipbooks serve as interactive teaching media that enhance students' understanding and motivation. This study focuses on designing and developing a digital Flipbook for teaching biodiversity in geography, aligned with the Merdeka Curriculum. The Flipbook incorporates multimedia elements such as text, images, videos, animations, and interactive quizzes to create a meaningful and effective learning experience. The findings suggest that the Flipbook significantly enhances students' comprehension and engagement in learning biodiversity topics.
