Abstract

This article is the result of a study that discusses conflict management implemented in the collective leadership of the Lirboyo Kediri Islamic Boarding School. Where the Lirboyo Kediri boarding school is one of the largest pesantren in the province of East Java and has also existed for more than a century and now its leadership is in the hands of the 4th generation who is the grandson of the founder of the pesantren. In carrying out its leadership, the Lirboyo Kediri boarding school uses a collective leadership style incorporated in a forum called BPK-P2L (Lirboyo Kediri Islamic Boarding School Board of Trustees). The results of this study conclude first, that the formation of the Lirboyo Kediri BPK-P2L Islamic Boarding School has the motive to maintain the integrity of the zealous ties of the pesantren. Second, the map of potential conflicts in the Lirboyo Kediri boarding school consists of: 1). The Lirboyo Kediri boarding school has unit boarding schools that are independent and have their own caregivers and organizations but on the other hand must also comply with the BPK-P2L decision, 2). Term of pondok kulon and pondok wetan. Third, that in conflict control BPK-P2L Lirboyo Kediri applies the musayawarah approach, the division of roles and authority, and applies the tradition of marriage between relatives.

Abstract

This article is the result of study focused on discussing the various of educational character methods in Indonesian pesantren. Where judging from the history of the pesantren is actually an educational institution that has holistic and integrative potential. During this time pesantren have played a strategic role in planting character values ​​in society. This character can be seen from the tradition of Islamic education in pesantren which is prioritizes processes rather than the results. Trust in baraka for pesantren is alleged to be a pioneer of planting character values. But so far, character education that was developed in formal schools by the Indonesian government, in fact, did not involve the pesantren and or did not pay much attentions to the results of research concerning character education in pesantren in particular and the tradition of boarding education in general. So that research becomes very urgent to continue to exploring the potential of pesantren in terms of planting character values ​​continuously. The results of this study indicate that there are four variants of the method of character education in pesantren, namely; hidden curriculum, habituation, ta’zir tradition (punishment), real life, exemplary, application of religious culture, and barakah is indicated as psychologycal reward.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to analyze the effect of the blended learning model towards learning outcomes of the comprehension concepts and economic problems solving of Private Islamic High School students in Nganjuk Regency. The study used an experimental method, with a quasi-nonequivalent control group design. The research was conducted at Private Islamic High School Al Manar Prambon Nganjuk. The samples were conducted based on students' characteristics and similarities in economic topics. The experimental class was assigned to XI Social 1 and the control class was XI Social 2. The analysis technique used was descriptive statistical technique and two-ways MANAVA. Descriptive statistics were seen from the mean, standard deviation, variance, and presentation. The results of the MANAVA test analysis when viewed from the centroid pillar's trace, Wilks' lambda, hotelling's trace, and Roy's lambda root in the experimental class had a significance value of 0.000. The value was transformed to the Fisher distribution or F test, then it is smaller than α ˂ 0.050. The study shows that the blended learning model has an effect on the learning outcomes of comprehension concepts and economic problems solving of Private Islamic High School students.

Abstract

This article intends to photograph the implementation of Bahtsul Masail LBM HM Al-Mahrusiyah Putra and relate it to problem solving methods. This forum is an effort so that the students are able to contextualize the understanding they get from the yellow book into actual problems and try to describe and trace the basis of the arguments that have been used by previous scholars in formulating a law. The focus of this research is; 1) how the practice of bahtsul masail as a problem solving method in the learning of contextual Jurisprudence in LBM HM Al-Mahrusiyah Putra, 2) how do the students respond to the practice of bahtsul masail as a problem solving method in contextual learning in LBM HM Al-Mahrusiyah Putra. With a qualitative descriptive approach, data collection using interview, observation, documentation and questionnaire techniques, obtained results; bahtsul masail at LBM HM Al-Mahrusiyah Putra was good enough. The method used in the forum is broadly the same as the problem solving method. Santri who actively participated in bahtsul masail showed a positive response to the implementation of the forum. Whereas the less active santri showed a passive response and their interest tended to diminish.

Abstract

This article aimed to explain how to civilized transformational leadership in Islamic educational institutions. Discussions about transformational leadership have recently become lively to be discussed at the Islamic Education Institution (LPI). This is because Islamic educational institutions have prophetic religious spirits that are considered appropriate to be developed at LPI. Bernard Bass's transformational leadership theory becomes the main theoretical framework. The characteristics and goals of transformational leadership are in line with the conception of prophetic leadership in Islam. Therefore, to cultivate transformative leadership in LPI, it needs to be preceded by the creation of an organizational culture that implements prophetic values. Then to realize it can use three civilizing models, namely; structural models, formal models and mechanical models.

Abstract

This article reveals the communication of women leaders. When talking about female leaders, it will not be separated from the issue of gender stereotypes, many of which link the individual’s ability to lead with the biological aspects inherent in the leader, namely based on the sex differences between men and women. As result, the term gender inequality has emerged, which places women in unfavorable conditions. This type of research is qualitative and a case study as an approach. Data collection techniques used in-depth interviews with school principal informants, education personnel, school communities, and guardians of the students. The data analysis process uses a flow model which includes: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. This study found that the success of female leaders was influenced by their ability to communicate and appreciate professional relationships. Female leaders have more social orientation, an equal position, are quality based, care, and are more nurturing. Abstract

The spread of radicalism in education requires students to fortify and strengthen their beliefs to not fall into radicalism. The researcher aims to discover the revitalization of NU’s practice in countering radicalism in schools. In this study, the type of field research is descriptive analysis. This study resulted in research findings, namely the implementation of NU’s Islamic tradition in the form of grave pilgrimage of Walisanga and Asmaul Husna reading, as well as a form of revitalization in countering radicalism through NU’s Islamic tradition practice for strengthening Aswaja’s theology.
